We all want to Live Boldly, we want to do the things we know we want to do, and we don't want to be stopped by our own fears. Sometimes it's something small, sometimes big, but we know we need to just push ourselves and once we do it, we set ourselves free to move forward in a much better way.  We open ourselves up for more amazing things and we feel good. Whether it's having a difficult conversation, signing up for the gym or that yoga class- maybe it's finally taking the step to sign papers you've been avoiding- whatever it is Sara is creating a support group where you can state what your week's task to tackle is and you can also let us know how it went. Then all the other people will be motivated by reading your comments and be there with compassion, cheers, and support for you! Let's create a ripple effect!! Live Boldly! Live this incredible life! Live it on your own terms. Sara shares how she may be a little ahead of the learning curve of doing the hard things… and living Life boldly. Yes, she climbs huge mountains, yes, she paddles out 10 miles into the ocean…but she wasn't always like that. She can be there to provide a forum and accountability. We are made up of our past, our stories, our patterns that may be holding us back. Most important is to believe in yourself. Put your challenge for the week on a post-it on your fridge, on your phone and be clear on it. Set your goals and intention. And start. That's the hardest part. Ten years ago, Sara divorced from her husband of 17 years. She made a point everyday of getting outside, navigating through anger, pain, and grief while hiking 14,000 ft mountains and paddling 4-miles out to sea with whales and dolphins. She somatically healed her heart, mind, and body through nature while practicing the art of resiliency and forgiveness. As a result, she began finding the new Sara. A version of herself with a larger smile, a longer laugh, and a love for her present life. The gift of her trauma was finding her most important relationship: the one within herself. Sara's trauma became her purpose: to help others embrace their resiliency. Using a workable 3-part system, she guides individuals and teams to move from victim → survivor → thriver. In life. At work. In business. In this solo episode, Sara talks about the part of the journey of being in the dating world in her 40's and turning 50 in a couple of weeks. She hosted parties, watched her kids play sports, paddle boarded on the gorgeous coast of California near her home when one day her husband of 17 years admits he's been unfaithful to her for the last 14 years and came out as gay. Her life deteriorated in front of her eyes as she realized everything had to change. Not only was the news devastating, but it also rehashed old memories of being raped at 17 years old, which led to her first son.Sara didn't wallow in her sorrow but took the opportunity to pursue her dream to live a life connected to the outdoors and to show the healing power of nature to as many people as she possibly could.  Thus, Live Boldly Coaching was born and her story of pain has become one of strength and compassion with all sorts of adventures, like earning a Guinness World Record for leading her friend Shawn Cheshire to record the fastest rim-to-rim-to-rim run across the Grand Canyon by a blind person. No matter where she goes, she can now be found on mountaintops all around the country wearing a glamorous pair of bright red high heel shoes.Get out there and live boldly. www.liveboldlycoaching.comInstagram @saraschultingkranzwww.walkthroughthis.com - Documentary WebsiteSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/adventure-sports-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

How to turn your setbacks into your strength with author and coach Sara Schulting Kranz In her words: I'm a proud mom to 3 wonderful young men, a business owner, a mountain and ocean adventurer, an artist, and a former teacher. At my core, I am not much different than any of you. What and who I have become is a resilient woman and person, who survived and thrived from multiple traumas, now finding herself in this space. And this is exactly where I was meant to be. Nearly nine years ago, I was at the lowest point in my life. Suffering from relational and betrayal trauma and complex-PTSD, I was debilitated by the unknown as my marriage and life collapsed, living as a single mom. Emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically unraveling, I found myself at a precipice: I could lose my life through all of this, or find a new me. My resilient self chose the latter. I made a point everyday of getting outside, navigating through anger, pain, and grief while hiking 14,000 ft mountains and paddling 4-miles out to sea with whales and dolphins. I somatically healed my heart, mind, and body through nature while practicing the art of resiliency and forgiveness. As a result, I began finding that new me. A version of me with a larger smile, a longer laugh, and a love for her present life. The gift of my trauma was finding my most important relationship: the one within myself. My trauma became my purpose: to help others embrace their resiliency. Using those experiences and understanding my purpose, I became a keynote speaker, author, TEDx speaker, retreat organizer/facilitator for transformational experiences.

What is your first step on the path to forgiveness? Sara has experienced many traumas and shifts in her own life, most recently ending her marriage of 20 years to her best friend and husband after finding out that he was gay. Sara’s own personal healing journey was accomplished through her passion for hiking, climbing, paddling and running. Physically discharging the trauma and pain, she was able to attain clarity, emotional strength and resiliency in order to forgive her husband. Forgiveness became the foundation that enabled her to build a healthy interpersonal relationship with her ex-husband and keep her family intact. In this episode, Sara dives deep into the inspiration for her new book, Walk Through This. On Sara’s path to forgiveness, she just put one foot in front of the other; that is how Sara has survived today. We all create our own trail in life; sometimes, we get diverted in ways that we don’t expect. However, it’s all about taking the steps forward and enjoying the journey because our destination is never-ending. That way, you can find true joy every single day.  Later, Sara speaks about how she healed her deepest traumas. In order to feel rebirth, we have to feel all of the feelings. Also, Sara explains how she found the healing power of nature. Through the process of experiencing nature, Sara realized that all you have to do is listen. It’s time to be in a place of acceptance and surrender on your forgiveness journey. Nature will shift how our brain operates, so get out there and enjoy the beauty. Ep 014 | Overcoming The Past and Living Your Purpose   Today I am so excited to share with you the first guest on The Confidence Crown, Sara Schulting-Kranz. Sara is one of the most inspirational people on the planet and yet her past experiences give her every reason to be otherwise. Sara shares with us how her life was not just affected but completely changed when she was raped at the age of 17 and became pregnant. She's raised this amazing son of hers and went on to get married and have two more children. It wasn't until 17 years later that she found out her husband was not only an addict but gay as well. Sara has faced all of this with strength and dignity and now empowers women to do the same.   This episode is powerful and serious, but it's also uplifiting and the greatest example of resilience. I hope you enjoy meeting Sara as much as I have and I encourage you to share your stories.     What we're talking about   Life Experiences You Are Not Alone Living Your Life   Life Experiences   Life is simply one giant experience, but it's also a series of many experiences that make up the life you live. Our childhoods impact who we become as adults and so often we are faced with whether we allow our childhoods and past experiences to have an impact on our future or if we want to let them mold us into stronger people.   You Are Not Alone   When bad things happen, it's easy to feel like you are completely alone, but today we discuss how that simply is not the truth. Whether it's the #MeToo movement or being raped or being assaulted, there are so many others who have also been through it and want to help you and encourage you to continue living your life and making it a powerful one. Sara shares with us how she now helps women who have been through betrayel trauma and what that looks like.   Living Your Life   We all have a choice in what kind of life we want to live and what experiences we will allow to mold it. Finding your purose and rising above what others have done to you is one of the most challenging things, but in the end, it will bring a new light to your life. Sara and I discuss how we have found happiness in our lives and passions that bring us purpose in not only living our best lives but helping others to do the same.   I am so thankful to have had Sara on as a guest and I hope you are feeling inspired and most importantly, not alone.   LINKS MENTIONED   The Confidence Crown Sara's Instagram Live Boldly Coaching Sara's Facebook Live Boldly Facebook Walk Through This Documentary NetFlix Sex & Love Around The World   TIMESTAMPS 35:55 (36 sec - SSK) There were some moments where I was like, my God, you know did this happen? It starts to eat at you in a way that, not where you doubt yourself necessarily, but to start to really…rethinking; did this happen? Did it happen? Oh my God did I cause this to happen? Am I at fault for this? Maybe if I wouldn't have done this or done that, might have just screamed more, whatever it is, there's this whole…you take a lot of it on. 39:47 (14 sec – LH) It did take many women's voices. It did take courage to speak up and it's very important that we continue to talk about these things and we don't belittle them because we need it to stop. QUOTES Life is one big massive experience. SSK I canot sit in hatred. SSK This is called living your purpose. SSK My past has propelled me to live the life I have today. In today’s episode, I talk to Sara about the discovery of her husband’s 14 years of infidelity with men, her diagnosis of PTSD related to the relationship betrayal in her marriage, which echoed back to her sexual assault as a teen. We talk about how she found her healing and clarity in nature by hiking, running, and paddle boarding. Sara shares how she has used her experience as the fuel for a new career helping others heal from their own trauma. In her own words on the compound trauma of sexual assault combined with relationship betrayal: “I was so deeply traumatized, I can’t even put words too it. The PTSD that just shakes every cell within your body is mind numbing… What happens is that when you go through another traumatic experience like this, it also brings up the trauma from the past, which I hadn’t really worked through, I now realized… I realized that it was like ‘Wow, I’ve got to address all this stuff,’ which is exactly what I did, through my own trauma healing, and through nature, and through seeking help and getting the right support.”

Not everyone chooses to live a life outside the box. Sometimes, it chooses you. Five years ago, Schulting-Kranz was living her life very much within the box. She hosted parties, watched her kids play sports, paddle boarded on the gorgeous coast of California near her home when one day her husband of 17 years admits he's been unfaithful to her for the last 14 years, with a man.   Her life deteriorated in front of her eyes as she realized everything had to change. Not only was the news devastating, but it also rehashed old memories of being raped at 17 years old, which led to her first son. Sara didn't wallow in her sorrow but took the opportunity to pursue her dream to live a life connected to the outdoors and to show the healing power of nature to as many people as she possibly could. No matter where she goes, she can now be found on mountaintops all around the country wearing a glamorous pair of bright red high heel shoes.
