Two Truths and a Lie by April HenryAll of them were super excited to be heading to the state capital for a major theater competition. Everyone had their parts down and was ready to show the world, or at least the other competitors, just what they had! Nell isn't a front of the house kind of person at high school. She likes bringing her talents to the back stage crew, where she really excels. When the group sets off and it begins to snow, no one is too worried. However, when a four hour trip gets longer and longer because of the blizzard conditions, all of them are thrilled to see a sign for lodging. Turns out they aren't the only ones taking shelter from the storm, but the place they have found is pretty much run down and old. Luckily for Nell's group, another group of teenagers, also heading to a competition, but for robotics, is forced to stay the night as well. Nell immediately feels a connection to one of the other teens, and is looking forward to having a nice time. Until the group decides to play the game Two Truths and a Dare. When Nell pulls out a sheet of paper which appears to say someone in their group is a murderer, things take a twisted and terrifying turn.Recommended for grades 8 and up.
Eyes of the Forest by April HenrySo it is a real thing. Not being able to write. And R.M. Haldon's got it bad. So bad that maybe he needs to think outside the box to get something written, anything written to finish up his epic fantasy series, Swords and Shadows. After all, he has fans waiting, and waiting and really waiting for him to tie up all those loose ends. So why can't he, when the first books came so easily to him?Bridget, his assistant, knows that he is stuck, but she's sure that he will be coming around soon. Or she at least hopes he will. Still, she has no trouble re-reading all his other books in the series. Still, it is strange that Bob (as she calls him, since that is his name) hasn't been contacting her as much lately. Or at all. Typically when he's writing, he likes to check in with her. And as crazy as it seems since she is a teenager, she really is an amazing assistant because she knows all of his books, inside and out, and can help him keep the continuity of the stories going. So what is going on? Is he really writing, or has something happened to him? And if so, is there anything Bridget can do to help him?Recommended for grades 8 and up.

Will God answer your prayer if you don't end with, "In Jesus' name, Amen?" Learn what praying in the name of Jesus really means. I taught this week on the call of Abraham and the development of God's missionary call through the nation of Israel as they were responsible to communicate the truth of God to the cultures around them. They were given that great commission. The great commission didn't start in Matthew 28. It started with Abraham in Genesis 12 —the first three verses there —Abraham, chosen by God to raise up a nation who would then be God's priests to the world so that they would be a blessing to all of the nations. They had a unique role in the great monotheistic religion. The Jews were supposed to reflect morality to the world. Israel was to witness to the name of God. When they talked about the name of God and witnessing to God's name, that does not mean that they were to let everybody know what they called God, "Yahweh." Their goal wasn't to cover the countryside with evangelists who just let everybody know what the right word for God was. It meant something different. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ https://linktr.ee/jacksonlibon -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #realtalk #face #instagram #amour #take #couple #dance #dancers #vogue #voguedqnce #garden #tiktok #psychology #beyou #near #love #foryou #money #ForYouPizza #fyp #irobot #theend #pups #TikToker #couplegoals #famille #relation #doudou #youtube #twitter #tiktokers #love #reeĺs #shorts #instagood #follow #like #ouy #oyu #babyshark #lilnasx #girl #happybirthday #movie #nbayoungboy #deviance #autotrader #trading #khan #academy #carter #carguru #ancestry #accords #abc #news #bts #cbs #huru #bluebook #socialmedia #whatsapp #music #google #photography #memes #marketing #india #followforfollowback #likeforlikes #a #insta #fashion #k #trending #digitalmarketing #covid #o #snapchat #socialmediamarketing H

“Creating an experience for the listener is my ultimate goal. I use all of myself. All my body, mind, heart and soul.” This week Myki talks to April Henry, a well-rounded artist who shares with us the first poem she wrote (age 8 about world peace) and the first song she penned ("Don't You Cry" at age 11). April even gave us all a simple breathing exercise similar to the ones she teaches her vocal students, and ended this episode with singing in Japanese! April is a singer, actor, vocal coach who sings in a variety of languages: Japanese, Bulgarian, Spanish, Italian, French, German, mostly English. Growing up in the marshlands of South Florida, April appreciated the natural beauty of the tropics, but knew there was a much bigger world for her to explore. Singing as a little girl, she had watched her parents perform from the wings of the Grand Ole Opry. April was hooked ever since. Cheyenne was sick. So sick that she convinced her stepmother to leave the keys in the car while she ran into the pharmacy to get Cheyenne’s medicine in case she needed to warm up the car. Lying in the backseat she realizes, even as sick as she is, someone other than her stepmother has gotten into the car, and once he realizes Cheyenne is in the back, a carjacking has just turned into a kidnapping.
