Sharkey's Treehouse: Presenting New Musicians, Celebrating the Legends
If you’re not careful, step into a club with the SpellBreakers on stage and you might think you’ve stepped through a time portal. And that would’t be a bad thing. This six-piece band is fun, and fronted by a red hot dame who’s stage persona is reminiscent of the animated character Jessica Rabbit. Their website says “Caneri & The Cats (formerly known as the SpellBreakers) have reinvented themselves [with their new name and band members] but still remain true to their unique blend of Neo-swing, Blues and Americana. Their blend of original music and carefully crafted covers appeals to a wide variety of audiences and is sure to keep the dance floor at a boil.” In this, their prior iteration, the band features talented musicians Jacob Freeman on upright Bass, Mike Parykaza on Trumpet, Rachel Levinson on Sax, Dan Barnes on Guitar, Michael Dallara on Drums and Sevon Caneri on vocals.
