Parents, communities, and social media followers alike can witness the moment that parents and families find out the sex of their future baby, but lately, these parties have gotten so out of hand as to cause massive wildfires, explosions, damage to homes, injuries, and death. For this episode, we will try to figure out what in the world is going on here by exploring the history of gendered baby items, of the strange divination methods once used to guess the biological sex, and take a look at the idea of rituals around the mystery of pregnancy. Of course, we'll also ask questions about the regressive nature of this blue and pink gender binary, and I will share a little about my own childhood growing up as a non-binary kid, a word I wouldn't know for two decades. What do drag queens, gender reveals, and natural disasters have in common? They're all part of an exhibition called "Oh Baby" that's showing at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia right now. It all centres around a 2017 wildfire in Arizona. The story sparked inspiration for Halifax artist Séamus Gallagher.

Under lång tid var graviditet något som man inte skyltade med, men idag är läget förändrat och stylade bilder av gravidmagen är ett växande fenomen. I slutet av januari i år ställde Rihanna till med en skräll i både sociala och vanliga medier när hon la ut bilder då hon -hand i hand med sin pojkvän, artisten Asap Rocky strosade fram i olika delar av New York, klädd i rippade jeans som släpade i marken och en lång rosa täckkappa, vintage, från Chanel. Under den bar hon inget annat än långa glittriga halsband. För kappan var bara knäppt över bysten så att den nakna, och lätt rundade, magen putade ut pyntad med bijouteriekors i guld och färgglada stenar från Christian Lacroix. Bilderna var nogrant iscensatta och tog trenden med så kallad officiell pregnancy reveal till en helt ny nivå.I programmet berättar vi mer om gravidfototrenden och vilka stilar som efterfrågas.
