How to get "momentum" [Have you ever struggled with this?]
Nothing great happens in life without first putting in the work to get MOMENTUM. Depending on which path you're gaining momentum on, dictates whether you're going to get positive or negative results. And SO OFTEN, PEOPLE WORK JUST FOR THE SAKE OF WORK, and don't stop long enough to see if that work is bringing them closer to the results they actually want. That's why so many people, work for years, and are never satisfied with WHAT they have in life – it's because they worked on things… that created momentum in the wrong direction. And if they just took a moment, from time to time, to look at where their momentum was pushing them – they would have been able to coarse correct and get FAR FAR more out of their time. MORE SUCCESS MORE REVENUE MORE NET PROFITS IN THEIR BUSINESS AND MORE HAPPINESS IN LIFE So How Do You Get Momentum? In today's episode, we'll get more clear on this and then I'll show you EXACTLY what we do inside of my companies to analyze if our actions are moving us along the fastest path to get us to our goals… or to hit whatever target we have. This goes for any business, in any economy, in any industry, and it also relates to anything you want to achieve in life.
Hey everyone Sheevaun here driving for your success and today's topic. We're gonna, kind of do it a little bit of a theme. Today's topic is things that destroy your daily momentum, and boy, there are a lot. It could be social media, it could be anything, but the thing I want to focus on is how the things about complaining meaning things that aren't working well or aren't quite good enough. By focusing on those, they're going to help you focus and turn your attention. It's like turning around and looking at the wrong thing with the right concept, so complaining about what you don't have is going to give more to you of what you don't want. It's your tendency to be critical and to look for things to solve. You have plenty of things to solve that are gonna, that's gonna. Keep you looking for the negative and until you learn to move your energy and intention moving in the direction of what you do want on a consistent day out, day in and day out basis, you will always have contradictions so you could be going toward what you want and then turn around and have a little complaint and then next thing you know, you're going in that direction, so it's really keeping you in the same place. It's friction in the same place which ends up causing pain, so that's your daily tip. If you're watching this anywhere, but on my website, go to SheevaunMoran.com and you want those six free videos. They're gonna help you get out of that really wonky place of not getting a momentum momentum. You're going to go to freekickstarter.com. All right, subscribe below. This episode is for the woman who feels super passionate about her business and the lifestyle she wants to live… but feels a bit unmotivated, for numerous reasons: basically, life happening!
I often run across a lesson that makes a difference in my life. This one came from the time I spent with Tony Robbins in 2006. When it comes to building Momentum, it's still relevant today: 1) Get Clear. Confusion creates paralysis. 2) Get Certain. You must believe it is possible. 3) Get Excited. Light your hair on fire, kick yourself in the butt and take on your life. 4) Get Focused. Distraction is the result of a lack of focus. Avoid it at all cost. 5) Get Committed. You are going to do it or not. Decide today. 6) The hardest part is starting. Get Momentum. Once you get moving, never lose that Momentum. 7) Get Smart. Trust your gut. You know what's right for you. If you're not getting what you want, use your brain and change direction.

Bet: Will this be the most downloaded podcast in W/M history?? JOIN US IRL: www.instagram.com/wisemillennial Dylan Gambardella and Justin Lafazan, Co-Founders of "NextGen HQ" sit down remotely to discuss “The Momentum Movement”, their global business hub supporting entrepreneurs to "fire them up and chase their dreams", their journey from meeting at a high school party to attending Duke and Wharton, respectively, founding their first startup "Students4Students", before founding NextGen in 2014. We discuss the importance of freedom and momentum (and what kills it), Why entrepreneurship is so tough? And how to break past that?, Constant validation/dealing with negative feedback, Importance of a co-founder, If and when to accept failure (secret: never), How to monetize and measure TAM and KPI's, and their Vision for the future of entrepreneurship.JOIN THE MOVEMENT AND SIGN UP FOR THEIR NEWSLETTER, CLICK "GET MOMENTUM" ON THEIR WEBSITE: https://nextgenhq.com/INSTA: @nextgenhqINTERVIEW QUESTIONS:Can you briefly explain to the audience what exactly is NextGenHQ and NextGen summit? Why were you so resistant to going into the traditional corporate world?Shifting gears to nextgen. Why do you focus on momentum as the primary focus for nextgen? Why is momentum so difficult to obtain? Or can you boil it down to simply a lack of self confidence and negative self talk? And related, how have you struggled with momentum in your professional lives?Do you think our generation needs constant validation? Is it important to have a cofounder? Does that help solve the momentum problem? You also recognize that many startups fail. You talk a lot about supporting the entrepreneur's journey, as opposed to an incubator. What was the opportunity you saw which didn't exist? Do you guys not accept idea of failure? I mean it's one thing to be energized and talk yourself up, and don't get me wrong, that's a crucial ingredient to potential success. I mean, at what point do you say to yourself, “I've been doing this for X number of years. I spent X number of dollars. This just isn't working. It's not the right idea, or it's not the right timing”? Talk to me about monetization and your business model (which may be changing with covid). How did you come to a conference-based monetization strategy? Why not charge dues or create a private membership model instead of just a free facebook community? Or is the model more of a freemium model, to ramp up user engagement first, then start charging for services later? What are your KPI's and internal metrics that define success for you? Is it number of tickets sold? Number of facebook group members? The reason I ask is because you guys are working double time, not only are you trying to grow your network of users, but at the same time you're trying to convince enterprise companies of your legitimacy and leveraging your community strength in hopes they'll sponsor or partner with you.Let's talk about Gen Z and Millennials. I've noticed though that a large majority of your core user base is Gen Z. I'm wondering if you can shed light on why that is, and the differences you've learned between these two generations? What's your biggest challenge to growth? Is it just awareness? What is something you wish someone had told you five years ago, or you had told yourself, that you had to learn on your own? But would have made life so much easier had you known? What is the best way for listeners to get more involved?

Get Momentum With One Question Have you been busier than ever or sidelined waiting for life to continue these last few months? You’re not alone. Most people are feeling off-balance, unfocused, and lacking direction and momentum. When I feel momentum slow, I have a favorite question I ask myself and others who need a boost - What CAN I do? Are you willing to ask? Are you ready to accept the answer no matter how small? No matter how big or scary? If so, you will free yourself from being stuck, and a path will reveal itself. Experience has taught me the answer will be one of two choices: 1) A minimal adjustment in some area of your life. 2) The realization that something significant must change. Are you ready to toss out the old and go for it? Ask yourself, “What CAN I do?” - and be willing to accept the answer that you receive. Get the Daily Boost 5-Days a Week! HERE

I have a lot of firsts for you in this week's episode. Jason and Jodi Womack are my first married guests, my first live interview with two guests and my first co-author guests. We also have a lot of fun talking, as usual, and the result is a huge episode packed full of ways to make an impact and get momentum. The Womacks want entrepreneurs to Get Momentum, over and over again. Get Momentum is an executive coaching and development program that is designed for busy people who want to work smarter, think bigger, lead better and achieve more. Since launching their business in 2012, they have expanded to include the Get Momentum Leadership Academy and https://getmomentum.com/gmbook/ (Get Momentum: How to Start When You're Stuck). The Womacks are both big proponents of mentorship. “The purpose of a mentor is to have someone act as the visionary,” Jason said. “You're looking at you right then, a mentor can look at you and see you months from now.” Jodi added that, “I love to think of mentors as someone I have a real relationship with … a real mentor cares about you the person, and the big vision of you that they can see.” Jason has a tactic he uses for clarifying, expanding or narrowing his vision. He looks at a subject as 100, 25 or 1. If you take 100 pennies, 4 quarters or 1 dollar, they all add up to the same amount. “There are some times you need to look at all 100 pieces of the problem, some times I just need to buck it into four quarters, and sometimes I just need to know what the problem is.” Mentors help you look at the problem from a different perspective. Jodi's impact moment came while she was Director of Public Events at a training firm. One day, all of the public events were canceled. “I realized I wasn't the director of anything, as long as I was an employee,” Jodi said. Jason felt he was always running out of goals to reach for. So, they left the firm and started their own coaching and development business. Eventually, customers were reaching out because they wanted more. They needed a continual refreshing of the content, so the https://getmomentum.com/home.php (Get Momentum Leadership Academy) was born. “If you can get your clients to ask you for your next product before it is built, you are onto something,” Jason said. Their book, https://getmomentum.com/gmbook/ (Get Momentum: How to Start When You're Stuck), is another project that was started after customers expressed interest in a book based on the course. The book is about how you reverse engineer that feeling you wish you had more: momentum. Jason described momentum as “the feeling that you recognize after you've had it.” Being stuck sucks. “There's no pretty way to dress that up. It is hard, it is lonely, it is depressing,” Jodi said. The other side of the coin is that, if you're stuck, you're trying to do something you've never done before. When are you at your best? Every question Jason asks comes down to this central idea. If people consider when they are at their best, they give themselves what he describes as “the gift of their own attention.” What do you want to be known for? The Womacks suggest you pick a role and pick a period of time. The answer is constantly changing. It's a powerful perspective, because it makes the question actionable. The book does a wonderful job at providing actionable activities that reinforce the motivational message. “Get Momentum” is broken into the Five Stages of Momentum: Motivation – What did I do that motivated me? “The idea of catching someone doing something right is so bizarre, unusual and unique. If you try that for a couple days, you might just revolutionize what's going on in your office. Since school and the red pen, we've been taught to find what's wrong,” said Jodi. “People are starved for wins.” Mentors – Jason has two kinds of mentors: Mentors he knows and mentors he doesn't know. Learn from anybody you can. Jason picks one person from history every month to learn from....
