In the second segment of the April 27, 2026, broadcast, Charlie James detailed how 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen exploited security gaps to check into a 10th-floor guest room at the Washington Hilton days before his attack. By utilizing his status as a registered guest, Allen managed to bypass external checkpoints and smuggle multiple firearms and knives into the building. James emphasized that Allen reportedly used internal stairwells to reach the foyer level, mocking the lack of interior security in a manifesto sent to family just before he opened fire near the ballroom entrance.

In episode 912 of QAV Australia (recorded 24 March 2026), Cameron and Tony open with geopolitical commentary on the Iran-US-Israel conflict and its impact on oil prices, before reassuring panicked listeners that market chaos is cyclical and the QAV rules — including the three-point trend line and Rule One sell signals — are designed exactly for moments like these. Tony delivers a deep-dive Pulled Pork on Karoon Energy (KAR), the upstream oil producer. Other stocks touched on include Viva Energy, Santos, Central Petroleum, Pepper Money (CGF's revised lowball takeover offer), Harmony (HMY hitting a Rule One sell), and the messy Humm/Credit Corp takeover situation involving the Takeovers Panel. After hours, Tony recommends juggling comedian Michael Rayner ("The Broken Juggler") and the political memoir *All's Fair*, while Cameron raves about Jackie Chan's *Police Story*, David Lynch's obscure 1993 HBO miniseries *Hotel Room*, and the 1944 film *Gaslight*.

Step into Episode 204 of On The Delo as Delo sits down with Teddy, a fifth-generation Arizona native and co-founder of Pretty Decent Concepts, for a wide-ranging conversation about music, grit, marriage, and building one of Phoenix's most creative restaurant groups from the ground up. From touring the country on $7 a day with his rock band Hollywood Heartthrob to winning a million-dollar raffle and losing it all chasing the music dream — and then betting everything on Downtown Phoenix before anyone else believed in it — Teddy's story is a masterclass in persistence, pivoting, and playing the long game. The conversation covers how Teddy and his wife Katie built their restaurant group concept by concept, starting with a bootstrapped Chico Malo at Cityscape in Downtown Phoenix, navigating chef drama and a complete menu overhaul weeks before opening, opening and ultimately shuttering Chico Malo Miami after a four-year battle with neighbors, and doubling down on Tempe when everyone said it couldn't work. Teddy also shares the creative philosophy behind their cinematic concepts, why he treats every restaurant like an album, how collaboration with talent like Scott Conant on the upcoming Roman God of Fire sets them apart, and why a rising tide lifts all ships when it comes to building great neighborhoods. If you're in hospitality, entrepreneurship, or just love the Arizona food scene, this episode is packed with real insight and great stories.Chapter Guide (Timestamps):(0:00 - 1:41) Delo's Intro, Episode 204, and Welcoming Teddy(1:42 - 3:34) Fifth-Generation Arizona Roots, Sun Devil Marching Band, and West Side Phoenix(3:35 - 7:19) Hollywood Heartthrob, Warped Tour, Record Label, and Music Industry Lessons(7:20 - 10:57) Every Failure Translates: Business Lessons from Music to Restaurants(10:58 - 13:49) Building with Katie: Partnership, Marriage, and 17 Years of Growing Together(13:50 - 17:03) Life on Tour, $7 a Day, and Katie Running Merch on the Road(17:04 - 18:25) Winning the Million-Dollar Health & Wealth Raffle and Taking the Cash Option(18:26 - 24:36) Opening Chico Malo: Downtown Phoenix, Chef Drama, Menu Pivots, and the Underdog Win(24:37 - 26:38) Chico Malo Miami: COVID, Hotel Rooms with a Toddler, and Knowing When to Walk Away(26:39 - 32:18) Betting on Tempe: Filthy Animal, Doubters, a Rising Tide, and the ASU Generation(32:19 - 36:10) Pat Tillman, Jake Plummer, ASU Lore, and the Rose Bowl Memory(36:11 - 38:23) Roman God of Fire, Scott Conant, Forgive Me Father, and What's Opening in June(38:24 - 40:48) Wren and Wolf, the California Group That Never Opened, and Downtown Phoenix Today(40:49 - 44:31) Rapid Fire: Coffee, Aliens, Bench Press, Richardson's, and Rapid-Fire Wrap-Up

Would you drink water from your toilet bowl? Many people are lining up to do exactly that. I give you the most annoying traits of a backseat driver, and a naked man stole an ambulance and there was a patient on the gurney in the back, who wasn't naked. Fan voting is under way for the rock and roll hall of fame and I give you the top 5 so far, and details on a delivery robot who goes rogue and tears up parts of a neighborhood. A guy won the lottery using the birthday numbers from members of his family, and those family members want him to share the money with them, and he said nope. What's something you judged people for until it happened to you, and some women are cleaning their panties in the coffee makers in hotel rooms, and yes, you heard that right. What's a decision you made in ten seconds that changed your life, plus a man burned his house down trying to kill spiders, which certainly did the job. And lastly, a woman has reappeared after going missing for 24 years, and she doesn't want anything to do with her family. Ah yes, it's great to be alive.

In this bonus Booner School episode of Whitetail Edge, Ben Rising is in the field and breaks down how to improve deer bedding areas without overdoing hinge cuts or turning timber into a jungle no deer wants to use. With snow on the ground, it's easy to see exactly how deer are bedding, traveling, and staging—and this spot has been a consistent bedding area for years. The problem? It's starting to thin out, lose structure, and stop holding mature bucks the way it used to.In this video, I explain: • Why I don't hinge cut entire bedding areas • How to identify “junk trees” that are perfect for bedding structure • The concept of creating small bedding pockets or “hotel rooms” for deer • How structure, wind advantage, and visibility matter to mature bucks • Why thick doesn't always mean better when it comes to buck bedding • How strategic TSI and chainsaw work can hold deer longer during daylightInstead of laying everything over and hoping deer use it, this approach focuses on intentional structure, sunlight, browse, and security—without blowing out a sanctuary or ruining future timber value. This is real-world habitat work you can do in a few hours with one or two tanks of gas, whether you own the property or are working with permission. If you're serious about holding more does, keeping bucks bedded longer, and improving daylight movement—this is one of the simplest, most overlooked tools you can use.Let us know in the comments what you've seen work on your properties and whether you agree or disagree with this approach.

Your Guess is as Good as Mine
When 55 year old Greg Fleniken failed to show up for work, coworkers requested a welfare check at his Beaumont, Texas hotel. He was found deceased inside his locked room. There were no signs of forced entry, no visible injuries, and no evidence of a struggle. Given Greg's health history, investigators initially believed he had died of natural causes. That assumption quickly unraveled. An autopsy revealed severe internal injuries that did not match a heart attack or stroke. Detectives were left with a troubling question: how could someone suffer such damage without any outward signs of trauma? The case stalled as investigators explored unlikely possibilities, including a neighboring room, a brief power outage, and hotel staff activity. Nearly a year later, a private investigator noticed subtle damage hidden in the wall between two rooms. What followed exposed a shocking chain of events involving alcohol, a firearm, and a cover up that delayed the truth. This case shows how a death that appears routine can hide a reality far more complex.Follow True Crime Recaps for weekly cases that uncover the unexpected twists behind real investigations.
