Elizabeth (Betty) Heid is the past chair of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame, serving on the board for 6 years: 5 years as Chair, one year as past chair. While serving as Chair of the Board, she recognized a need to broadly tell the life stories of the women who were inducted into the Hall. She was inspired to design and create the “Great Colorado Women” film series. Serving as Executive Producer since implementation in 2016, she has produced 33 films to date. All as a volunteer. The film series focuses on historic and contemporary Colorado women and their little known, underreported achievements. This multi-season series honors the more than 200 trailblazing women who have been inducted into the Hall since its founding in 1985. These stories provide role models to remind women and girls that they too can aspire higher to reach their dreams and to educate men and boys about women's accomplishments. The result of this series is the creation of a comprehensive historical archive of the rich legacy of great Colorado women and will be a major step toward women being appropriately represented in Colorado history. This series, now in its seventh season, is really an eye-opener to the accomplishments and the impacts Colorado women have had on our state, our country, and our world. The films produced each year air on Rocky Mountain PBS. These films have earned 4 Heartland EMMY awards, while receiving 15 Heartland EMMY nominations. One film also won the Los Angeles Film festival for “Inspiring Woman in a Film.” The films have been viewed worldwide, reaching an audience of well over one million viewers.Betty's professional experience includes: owner, founder and CEO of two multi-million dollar businesses: a consulting agency and a job placement agency. After finding himself buried in credit card debt as an intern despite his elite education, Dr. Yeh shares his compelling journey through financial education and the eventual development of sophisticated investment techniques that required monitoring just once monthly. His approach focuses on risk mitigation rather than aggressive returns, using mathematical filters borrowed from his radiology background to identify market trends and protect investments from major downturns. John and Dr. Yeh dive into the differences between the three financial industry sectors (banking, brokerage, and insurance), clarify the often-confusing regulatory environment, and discuss practical advice for physicians considering career transitions. Dr. Yeh emphasizes viewing wealth through the lens of time—measuring how many years you could comfortably survive without additional income—and recommends specific financial runway requirements for various career pivot scenarios, from six months for job transitions to five years for building a new business. It began with weekly meetings where teens could be themselves, find their voice, and know they matter. What started with just a few students grew steadily. In the 2024-2025 school year, Happy Crew will host a total of 23 weekly meetings that bring together an average of 75 students each time. As a sales specialist for SketchUp in Trimble's AEC division, I blend my interior design background with a passion for architectural technology. Since May 2024, volunteering has opened new doors for me, bringing fresh purpose and perspective to my life. When I'm not helping architects and designers transform their visions into reality, you'll find me spending quality time with my husband and our dogs, who make every day brighter.I began volunteering with Soul Dog Rescue in May 2024 with my sister-in-law Heather Taylor. The mission of Soul Dog Rescue is to perform collaborative and targeted work, primarily through spay and neuter in underserved regions. Once a month we travel to the Navajo Reservation in the Four Corners Region where we may spay and neuter over 200 dogs and cats in a weekend. We rescue surrendered and stray animals and bring them to our clinic in Fort Lupton, CO where we hope to find foster and forever homes.Website: https://www.souldog.org/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jennifer-powell-2337ab72/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JPowell303/Recent Article: https://www.castlepinesconnection.com/rescue-rehab-and-adoption-through-soul-dog-rescue/**********************************************************Judy is the CEO & Founder of the Judy Carlson Financial Group. Hello, my name is Tevia Reading, and I am the fourth oldest of 6 siblings. Fun fact, all our names begin with ‘T” – Tony, Tania, Tatum, Tabitha, Talia, Tevia, TJ and Tag.When I was eleven, I faced the unexpected loss of my father. This tragedy shook my world forcing me to adapt quickly to new realities. Losing a parent at a young age left a void that could never be filled, yet it forced me to develop emotional strength and a sense of responsibility. My inspirations come from my dad. As far back as I can remember, my dad put the needs of others before his own and served with love and genuine concern. I confidently and proudly can say I inherited his heart for service and deeply desire to continue his legacy.Throughout high school, I have dedicated myself to supporting and inspiring others. As a student leadership representative and now Student Body President, I work to create a sense of belonging and advocate for those who feel unheard. I volunteer as a teacher's aide, mentor classmates, and organize student activities. I participate in community service and church outreach opportunities. I am enrolled in a Cosmetology program and will graduate as a licensed cosmetologist. I also play field hockey and tennis. My most transformative experience came during a mission trip to Africa. Mozambique was an awakening for me. I spent my days interacting with 78 orphaned children, watching their eyes light up at what most would take for granted. Their hunger for knowledge ignited a fire in me to do more. My time in Africa deepened my understanding of what it means to be a servant leader and instilled in me the importance of education as a tool for empowerment. It became clear I want to dedicate my life to teaching and serving disadvantaged communities at home and abroad. As a future educator, I am excited to devote my life to making a difference through teaching and empowering others to dream beyond their circumstances while honoring my father's legacy of service and compassion. Thank you.*************************************************************Judy is the CEO & Founder of the Judy Carlson Financial Group.
