If the scale is going up, how do you know whether you're gaining muscle or just gaining fat?In this episode, Britany breaks down one of the most confusing parts of body recomposition: figuring out whether your workouts and nutrition are actually changing your body in the way you want them to.She explains why the scale alone is a terrible measure of progress, how to identify the real signs of muscle gain, and what changes in your workouts, energy, recovery, and body composition actually mean. Britany Simon's path to interior design was paved early on, influenced by her father's career as a residential developer. As a child, she was constantly building and decorating homes for her Legos and Polly Pockets, showing clear signs of her future career. Though she briefly considered architecture and fashion in high school, she ultimately returned to her primary passion of interior design. Her early professional years were spent on the construction side of residential development, where she assisted clients in picking finishes for new builds. However, she found herself yearning for more creative fulfillment, as she rarely saw these projects through to completion. This desire led her to audition for HGTV's Design Star on a whim, a move that proved to be her "first big break".Appearing on television was a pivotal moment that transformed her business. After the show aired, she began receiving calls from clients she didn't know, allowing her to transition from working with friends and family to taking her company to a professional level. Since 2004, she has built a career defined by transformation and a deep love for textiles and creativity.

Sometimes we avoid hard conversations because we think other people can do them better, or because we think maybe we're sparing someones feelings by holding back - today Dr. Britany Baker (@dr.bortny) breaks down her stories of What Was Never Said: to the ex assistant that was her good friend and first assistant, and to the ex boyfriend who was a long time boyfriend where things ended We chat about authenticity in relationships and conversations, projecting our feelings on others in anticipation, and setting boundaries - and why sometimes saying the hard thing and saying it early is ironically the most peaceful and painless way IG: @drconniewang, @justaquickpinch
What's up Bros? Well this one was a doozy. In this episode, the ring drama gets a second wind as Janet and Jason manufacture a storyline. We get nonsense from the VPR transplants that results in truth or dare about Brocks wiener and far too many mentions of enchiladas. Jasmine is fed up with Janet's shenanigans and reads her down. Jason seems genuinely hurt by the Jasmine situation. Danny and Nia come close to a compromise about baby number 4. Zack finally airs his stuff out with an unaccepting Britany. But we see once again, things we should not see. We watch Britany get more emotional abuse from Jax. Jax still taking no accountability. And we see IN REAL TIME thanks to some disgusting camera pans, how this is affecting Cruz. We need Jax and Britany off of this show at this point for the sake of their son. It's too much and it is going to be the death of this show. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
What's up Bros? Welcome back to Lala, Brock and Scheana, right!? JK. What an irrelevant scene that was. In this episode, Danny's drinking takes center stage again. Janet sends Jason to do her bidding in a very strange scene where Jason calls out Danny and his relationship with alcohol. And looked awful while doing it. Jax and Cruz had a hangout but while there, Britany learned that not only was he spying on her in the house, but that he also signed a lease for a condo next to Tom Schwartz... Danny sits down with Melissa and Jasmine to hear them out as to why his behavior triggered them so badly. Britany throws a shark party and while there, Lala calls out Jesse for his behavior because she's a "girls girl". Should we ask Ariana about that..? Zack and Benji take their relationship to the next step. And it appears that Britany might finally be done with Jax. It only took her finding out that he hasnt paid their mortgage in about 5 months... Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
What's up Bros? The Valley has taken a miserable turn. Not only are ratings plummeting but this was just a bad episode. In this episode we wrap up the trip to Santa Barbara. Britany, Janet and Jasmine are maintaining that Nia and Danny dont share enough. They also take it upon themselves to diagnose him as an alcoholic which is problematic in its own right. Jesse meets with his "life coach". Michelle tells Scheana that Aaron may end up leaving her if the Jesse situation doesn't get better. Luke picks out a ring for Doute. The ladies sit down to dinner in an attempt to clear the air with Nia who is very upset about how the other night was handled. And after making a pinky promise to not talk behind each others backs, they talk behind her back again and start to discuss Danny's drinking. Janet better hope that Jason's side of the street is squeaky clean because it looks like some focus is shifting there now... Not to mention, comparing Danny to an ex boyfriend that was an addict is horrible behavior and not at all how those situations should be handled. This show is one of our fav's but this was arguably its worst showing yet. hopefully they can right the ship sooner than later! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

What's up Bros? We pick up where we left off in Santa Barbara. Jesse is 2 bottles of champs deep before 10 am so it's gonna be an interesting day. The gang heads to a winery for the day and the bus breaks down on the way. Tensions are still high between Jesse and Michelle and they're only getting worse. At the vineyard, Jesse pulls Michelle to the side to attempt to have a conversation. It goes horribly as expected and she begins making claims about Jesse spending all of their money. Jax continues to rage text Britany throughout the day and she responds every time... Danny gets back from his voice acting role and plays catch up with the vino. Back at the house, Jesse and Michelle get into it again... and it blows up... again. Danny sneaks some tequila in the closet and passes out in bed. Both Janet and Jasmine have some reservations about Danny's drinking. Jasmine rightfully so. But it turns into a thing at the table when Nia says hes just tired and for whatever reason, Jasmine and Britany turn it into a 'Danny and Nia are never authentic' moment. I think we are all aware Danny was drunk. Why that needs to be said flat out we dont understand. As far as Britany claiming she shares everything and Nia shares nothing, they are WILDLY different scenarios... Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
What's up Bros? The Valley is top tier TV. But the issues do seem a little more seirous than the ones we're used to covering. In this episode, the gang heads to Santa Barbara for Jesse's trip. Luke and Doute are tracking ovulation schedules. Jesse and Michelle are still at odds (obviously) as they attempt to coexist in the house for the trip. Zack takes Janet aside to try and squash things finally. However it seems like his real beef is with Britany and feeling betrayed by her. Jax is rage texting Britany the entire time showing that this treatment center doesnt seem to be helping. the group sits with a spiritual healer to air some things out. Jesse gets emotional and storms off. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Welcome back Bros! In the conclusion of our Valley recap, we get into the Jax of it all. Danny and Jason go over to Jax's to try and talk some sense in to him. Their approach was with kiddie gloves and was honestly disappointing to see how they went about it. Zack and his boyfriend Benji decide to move in together following a 2 month break where Benji wasn't sure of his visa status in the US. Britany takes Cruz over to Jax's house to talk and it goes horribly. It's a first hand look into what she has been dealing with for years. Cruz's reaction to Jax says it all. Watching him berate her was difficult to see. She holds her own and calls him out for his cocaine addiction as he packs up for a 'treatment center'. In our eyes Jax is irredeemable at this point. Sober or not, he does not deserve sympathy or empathy for his behavior over such a long period of time. Good for Britany for stepping up to him but we hope Bravo takes the necessary steps to ensure she is protected from that maniac. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
What's up Bros? This is part 1 of a 2 part recap. I think we can all agree that this was a difficult episode to watch. Jax's treatment of Britany is disgusting and seeing it first hand was awful. In this episode, Janet gives her side of the story of the Doute conversation to Britany. You can see how she spins things to fit her own narrative. Zack brings up the rift between him and Britany caused by Britany's new friendship with Janet. Jax continues his spiral as Doute confronts him about his behavior. She was the only one to do it that actually put the emphasis on his behavior. Jesse and Michelle continue to go back and forth over the divorce and Isabella's schedule. The fun thing about watching this couple is they both kind of suck so you get to pick which side of the battle you want to be on. We get into the Jax of it all in part 2 so make sure you tune in! What's up Bros? The Valley is back and my goodness did we miss this show. The chaos picks up right where we left off. Jax and Britany's situation takes on a whole different severity when we learn that during an argument about Britany texting another man (while they were separated and dating other people) Jax flipped a coffee table into Britany's leg causing a bruise. She fears for her safety, the safety of Cruz and doesnt even feel comfortable being in the same room as him alone. Jesse and Michelle are going through their divorce and it is NOT going well. Janet is still on the outs with Doute and Zack but wants to "be cordial". Britany is throwing a party for everyone and Jax isnt invited so we get a sad dudes night featuring Schwartz, the saddest dude of them all. Meanwhile, Michelle's boyfriend has entered the chat, Jesse wants to move to Orange County with his new love interest, Janet and Doute talk it out with zero success, and Zack is worried that Janet is coming between he and Britany's friendship. During all of this chaos, the lovely Danny and Nia are just concerned about where to move, when to have another baby and such normal marriage stuff that the juxtaposition to the craziness just makes for the perfect storm of a show. Bravo to this cast because this show rocks. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
