This week, we look at a young man, who has already been accused of some nasty things, but is still hoping to continue to play in the NFL. He went from Alabama, to being a marginal NFL player, when he had some problems with his dogs. Not only that, he was accused of knocking the toenials off of his child's mother, while dragging her down the stairs. On top of all of that, he has no idea where to park!! Be the only child in your family to graduate high school, blame your alleged neglect on another man, and have that man be recorded while saying so, and collect the broken press on toenails off of the floor with Isaiah "Pooh Bear" Buggs!! Check us out, every Tuesday! We will continue to bring you the biggest idiots in sports history!! On today's episode of The Right Time, Bomani Jones discusses the Oklahoma City Thunder winning Game 4 of the NBA Finals and Desmond Bane being traded. Bo starts off the show by praising Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's finish to Game 4 (2:35) and why he'd rather see SGA create space for himself than fake a fall (3:26). Bo continues by saying it's the most wide open NBA Finals we've ever seen (10:04) and jokes that Lu Dort would've been in the NFL if he was born in the United States (11:36). Bo weighs in on the Memphis Grizzlies trading Desmond Bane to the Orlando Magic by declaring that it is not a "blockbuster" (15:37) and that this may mean Ja Morant will be moved next (21:48). And finally, we have another round of If You Haven't Heard stories involving Hollywood dying, difficulties of teaching middle schoolers and private equity companies buying everything (28:52). Then Bomani listens to some voicemails about the time your mom showed up to ruin something fun. Brock and Salk go through what clicked so well for the Mariners over the weekend against the Guardians, leading to the sweep. They also look through who could be available for the mariners at the trade deadline, especially after Diamondbacks GM Mike Hazen said over the weekend that the Diamondbacks plan to be buyers at the deadline, rather than sellers. In Blue 88, topics include why the next month is less scary to NFL teams than it used to be, what Sam Darnold, Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford had in common in 2024 and the instability of college football.

A caller claims the day Tiki retired was harder on him than the death of his own mother.
Hour 1 This weekend, both the Mets and Yankees were swept, while the Phillies extended their winning streak, and in a significant move, the Red Sox traded Rafael Devers to San Francisco after he homered in his final game with Boston; Aaron Judge notably struggled, going 1-for-12 with 9 strikeouts. In golf, JJ Spaun won the US Open, while Gio noted that something seems to be amiss with Rory, which warrants monitoring as he heads to Bethpage Black; meanwhile, the Knicks are still seeking a head coach, and Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat stated he doesn't believe anything in history prior to 1950. Hour 2 Both the Mets and Yankees were swept this weekend, with the Mets now heading to Atlanta and a caller demanding Aaron Boone's firing due to the Yankees' fundamental errors, including baserunning mistakes by Dominguez and Rice. This came after Rafael Devers, who homered in his final game for Boston, was traded from the Red Sox to San Francisco. Meanwhile, Mike Francesa's prediction of a Mets losing streak came true, and despite Pete Alonso's strong offense, his throwing issues to first base persist. In golf, JJ Spaun won the US Open on Father's Day, and on the Knicks front, they are interviewing Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins for the head coach position, while Dan Plesac of MLB Network was reportedly scammed by an "unpaid tolls" text message. Hour 3 The Knicks are interviewing Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins for their head coaching vacancy, with one caller criticizing Leon Rose for the team's current state and another suggesting Jay Wright, though he's not a candidate. Meanwhile, the Yankees were swept in Boston, a series that saw Rafael Devers traded to the Giants after homering. The Mets also suffered a three-game losing streak, fulfilling Mike Francesa's prediction to Frank The Tank, and now head to Atlanta. In other sports news, JJ Spaun won the US Open, and Fanatics selected 50 regular people to compete against professional athletes. A caller also proposed Allan Houston or John Starks as potential Knicks coaches. Hour 4 Boomer reacted to the Chris Kreider trade, calling him one of the Rangers' all-time greats while acknowledging his frustrating moments, which led to a comparison of long-tenured New York athletes like the Mets' David Wright and Giants' Tiki Barber, with Gio expressing surprise at the Mets retiring Wright's #5 jersey so soon. In other sports news, Rafael Devers homered to beat the Yankees before being traded, the Mets were swept at home by the Rays, and JJ Spaun won the US Open. The show also featured a "Moment of the Day" with a caller's heartfelt story to a distracted Joe Benigno, and a reminder that the show would be off the following day for a round of golf at Bethpage Black, the future site of the Ryder Cup. And what's going on with Rory?

A caller wants Aaron Boone fired for the fundamental mistakes they had in each loss this weekend. Mike Francesa was at Barstool and told Frank The Tank he couldn't complain about the Mets until they lost 3 games in a row, which they immediately did. Pete Alonso has had a great offensive season but he's having issues throwing the ball to pitchers covering first base.
Matt Spiegel and Laurence Holmes listened to former Bears head coach Matt Eberflus' recent comments on the Doomsday Podcast with Ed Werder about how Chicago's coaching staff guided quarterback Caleb Williams in film study during the 2024 season.

Ep. 893 - Seven weeks. From the start of the offseason strength and conditioning program to the final day of minicamp. Whether it was on the field or in a press conference setting, what were the top takeaways? Craig Grialou and Darren Urban - before Darren goes on vacation - discuss what stood out to them; a lot of talk about the offense, counting on wide receiver as is, adding extra ‘sauce' as Trey McBride explained the pre-snap motion that has been worked into the scheme. Defensively, youth is really served at cornerback after the season-ending injury to Sean Murphy-Bunting, and why not, especially given the amount of draft capital invested in the position. Also, there are no worries that Will Johnson has yet to sign his first NFL contract.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this powerful and emotional compilation episode of The Burn Podcast, Ben Newman brings together the unshakable stories of three elite athletes who rewrote the narrative of their lives—not by believing the facts, but by living their TRUTH. This episode is about what separates those who accept limitations from those who overcome them. It's about what fuels greatness when the world tells YOU that YOU aren't enough. We start with NFL Hall of Fame cornerback Aeneas Williams, who didn't even play college football until his junior year. The same coach who gave him a shot also told him he'd never play in the NFL because he was too slow. That was a fact. But Aeneas didn't accept that as TRUTH. He trained with everything he had, turned the impossible into a career, and became one of the greatest to ever do it. His story proves that what matters most isn't what others say about YOU—it's what YOU believe about YOURSELF.Next, we hear from Andrew Whitworth, Super Bowl champion and 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year. Known as much for his leadership and impact off the field as for his long-standing excellence on it, “Big Whit” is the definition of sustained greatness. For nearly two decades, he brought discipline, toughness, and heart to the NFL. Andrew shares what it means to be consistent at the highest level, to lead with purpose, and to never take a single rep for granted. Finally, we spotlight Antoine Bethea, who knows firsthand what it feels like to be overlooked. Too short. Too small. Too light. That's what recruiters said. On National Signing Day in 2002, he had zero D1 or D2 offers. But instead of folding, he walked on at Howard University, bet on himself, and built a career that included a Super Bowl ring and three Pro Bowl appearances. Antoine's journey is living proof that when YOU stop listening to the noise and lean into YOUR burn, there is no ceiling to what YOU can accomplish. This episode is about defying expectations. It's about betting on YOURSELF. It's about understanding the difference between the facts and the TRUTH—and choosing to chase greatness no matter what stands in your way.Don't let the world define YOUR limits. YOU define YOUR legacy. Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/kGrVj5pc3S4

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe From Queens to discuss several topics, including an examination of the (mostly lousy) Carolina Panthers to Buffalo Bills pipeline since Sean McDermott came to Buffalo in 2017.The Bills have obviously been very good during the McDermott/Brandon Beane tenure through this point, making the playoffs all but one year (2018) and have won the AFC east the past five seasons. There's a lot of reasons for their success, but upon examination the constant Panthers to Bills pipeline isn't really among them. The Bills have had 19 players come over from Carolina that played for the Panthers while McDermott was still there. The guys go through and it becomes apparent quickly that the vast majority of those players stunk as Bills. Among them discusses is Star Lotulelei, Vernon Butler, Kelvin Benjamin, AJ Klein and Mike Tolbert. There's also five other players who spent at least two seasons with Carolina after McDermott was gone and ended up with the Bills after and they really weren't much better. Also, James Cook reported to and participated fully in minicamp last week, which was a pleasant shock to many people including Joe, who just last week predicted Cook wouldn't play for Buffalo until Week eight. They discuss the hot topic that's been at or near the top of Bills storylines all season that seemingly got put to bed. Also, who's the third best quarterback in Bills history after Jim Kelly and Josh Allen? That plus Joe's Mt. Flushmore of worst fathers, Patrick's True or False segment and much more.Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red's at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it's a great place to drink and have a great time. Also big thanks to Imperial Pizza and their two locations (1035 Abbott Road and 1655 Main Street), home of not only great pizza and tons of other delicious eats but also the best everyday lunch special in town.Special thanks to local Buffalo band, Orange Zest for allowing us to use their awesome single, “Old Friends” as the new official intro music for Talking Buffalo. This Teamcast episode is brought to you by Harry Moffitt, MCTI Director for Australia and New Zealand. During the last NFL season, Harry had the opportunity to speak with Will Greenberg, the Buffalo Bills' Head of Performance and Strength and Conditioning (S&C). Will is a wonderful human being and a great friend of the MCTI community. He describes his journey through baseball, his passion for S&C, and the positions he held prior to the Bills, from West Point to Utah State. Will has a human-centered approach to human performance. This refreshing perspective is emerging across the field and counters the approach that can overweight outcomes and treat humans as resources to be deployed for wins, profit, and utilization. Listen to Harry & Will discuss programming now and how it might be decentralized, more multidisciplinary, and less wedded to the scientists in the future. They also cover how science and scientists, though critical to the operator, should always aid a good program, never control it, and the importance of ‘struggle' in the gym, and the concept of flow, although not as something we must conjure up, but rather as something we are always in and must fight to return to consistently. They explore the role (and reemergence) of philosophical conditioning in humans and its implications for performance as Will shares a fantastic story of "The Philosophy Booth".In a tough industry – to insiders, NFL stands for Not For Long – Will provides a uniquely relaxed perspective, with many implications for MCTs.
