1. NFC East-When you add a special talent like Abdul Carter to a defensive front that includes star DT Dexter Lawrence, edge rushers Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux, plus DT and 2025 third-round pick Darius Alexander, would you say the Giants have, at least on paper, the most fearsome pass rush in the entire NFL right now?-Do you see Jaxson Dart starting five or more games this season?-Do you think the added presence of Donovan Ezeiruaku to that Cowboys front four is going to free up Micah Parsons, schematically speaking, like never before?-How helpful can Tyler Booker, Ezeiruaku, and Shavon Revel, Jr. be in helping the Cowboys get the most out of George Pickens?-Do you think the best Week 1 OL combination for the Commanders includes Josh Conerly, Jr. at RT with Brandon Coleman kicking inside to guard, or is it Coleman staying put at RT with Conerly moving inside?-Would you anticipate Trey Amos growing into that No. 1 shutdown corner for the Commanders at some point this season?-I'm not saying Jihaad Campbell is Micah Parsons, but does Vic Fangio now have a weapon he can deploy in a very similar way?-Do you think Andrew Mukuba pushes Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown for one of the starting safety spots in Philly?2. NFC South -How does Tetairoa McMillan help Bryce Young continue on this promising trajectory?-Will the Panthers be getting the 2023 version of Nic Scourton as opposed to the 2024 version?-How ideal is it for the Saints to begin a roster makeover with two starting tackles on rookie contracts?-Would you bet on Tyler Shough being the Saints starting QB when they face the Cardinals in Week 1?-Just how skeptical are you that James Pearce, Jr. will end up living up to the price the Falcons paid to get him?-Does Emeka Egbuka bring anything to the table that Chris Godwin does not?-Would it be a surprise to you if both Benjamin Morrison and Jacob Parrish are NOT playing starter-level snaps this season in Tampa?3. NFC North-After bringing in an innovative offensive mind in Ben Johnson to be their new head coach, re-vamping the OL, and ensuring that Caleb Williams will have four solid targets on the field at a time, is it safe to say the Bears have done everything possible to right their disastrous wrong in 2024?-Do you think Ozzy Trapilo has a legit shot to beat out Braxton Jones for the starting LT spot?-How do Matthew Golden and Savion Williams immediately upgrade the WR room in Green Bay?-With Donovan Jackson sliding in to that LG spot, do you see the Vikings as a top-five offensive line in 2025?-Do you see such upside in Tyleik Williams when it comes to rushing the passer?-What does the ceiling look like for Isaac TeSlaa?4. NFC West-Would you be surprised if Mykel Williams ends up winning 2025 NFL DROY honors?-Do you think Walter Nolen ended up in one of the best places possible that will help him reach his immense potential?-If the concerns about his knee end up being overblown, just how special a talent are the Cardinals getting in Will Johnson?-Can you see a scenario where Jalen Milroe ends up as the Seahawks starting QB in 2027?-Do you see Mike Macdonald utilizing Nick Emmanwori in pretty much the same way he used Kyle Hamilton in Baltimore?-Does it feel that most (if not all) signs are pointing toward the Rams landing their long-term successor to Matthew Stafford on Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft?-Which one of Jarquez Hunter or Chris Paul, Jr. do you think is most likely to far outplay his draft slot and why?(Photo via New York Giants)

Justin and Dan start the show by looking back at the NFL Draft destinations for Auburn's three picks from this past weekend. They discuss why the Rams pulled the trigger on Jarquez Hunter, how KeAndre Lambert-Smith fell into a good situation with the Chargers and what the prospects might be for Jalen McLeod with the Jaguars. After that, they look ahead to the 2026 draft class, led by a ton of Keldric Faulk hype. Then the guys switch over to their state of the offense for 2025, headlined by Hugh Freeze tripling down on his style and his staff after a losing campaign. Justin makes a point about Jackson Arnold and where he could make a big impact for the Tigers in an area of need. Dan shares his thoughts on the running back situation and how this could be a step forward for the offensive line. This episode also includes a surprising amount of discussion on musicals and some inadvertent slander of an Alabama literary legend. We know Harper Lee has shooters. If you're receiving this free podcast episode and would like to upgrade to a paid subscription that gives you access to all stories and premium podcast episodes, subscribe using the button below or clicking this link.Follow Dan (@dnpck) and Justin (@JFergusonAU) on Twitter. 1. Do you believe there's still some untapped upside with Ashton Jeanty as a receiving weapon out of the backfield?2. Do you think Omarion Hampton is a special talent worthy of a top-20 selection?3. If you were the GM of a team that needed ANY kind of RB, and you were forced to choose between Treveyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins, who would be your pick and why? 4. Do you believe Kaleb Johnson has the requisite fundamentals of playing RB (most notably vision and footwork) to succeed at the NFL level despite his lack of explosiveness?5. Do you think Dylan Sampson has the goods to play on all three downs at the NFL level?6. Do you think Cam Skattebo deserves to be selected in Rounds 2-3, and if he doesn't hear his name called on Day 2, would you expect him to outplay his draft position?7. FRIDAY: Oregon State Beavers (+19.5) at No. 11 Boise State Broncos, Noon ET, FOX Oregon State impressed me last week—not great, but better than expected. Auburn travels to Alabama for a game that may be seen at2:30 Central on ABC. As of Monday morning, oddsmakers favor Alabama by 12 with an over-under of 52, making for an implied final score of Alabama 32, Auburn 20. Our model has Alabama by 16 1/2. Chris Lee and Chase Robinson preview the game and share their predictions for the matchup, with topics including: Jalen Milroe's running ability and decision-making determine how Alabama's offense goes. The dynamic Ryan Williams has been a headache for defensive backs. Auburn's defense doesn't force a lot of turnovers, and its offense (though much better in the season's second half) has turned it over at a high rate. Auburn's got plenty of offensive talent in Jarquez Hunter, KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Cam Coleman and more. Alabama's defense forces turnovers at a high rate and the Crimson Tide allow just 4.8 yards per play. Crazy things happen in this series, but are things as crazy when the game is played in Tuscaloosa? Bryan Matthews, Caleb Jones, Brian Stultz, Henry Patton and Jay G. Tate reconvene in the Old Football Complex to discuss the most pressing news, which today centers on the football team's upcoming game against the hated Texas A&M Aggies. The guys worked ardently to make today's show as concise as possible. Topics: • Auburn beat ULM badly • Cam Coleman was awesome. Can he catch 8 a game? Should he? • Jarquez Hunter hit the 1,000-yard milestone. That's big for him. • Was Payton Thorne solid against ULM? Solid enough? • Auburn did well on third down in a few different ways. • Shouldn't the A&M line be more like 8.5 points? • Auburn flipped one and lost a flip this week. • Erick Smith committed, but he wasn't a flip. • Is Isaiah Gibson back in play? • The Fightin' Pearls crushed Kent State and now have UNA in town. • Women's hoops is at Oregon on Wednesday night. That's a big one. • Baseball wrapped up fall ball with its own World Series. The show ends with a concise supply of salutations, shoutouts and a couple shoutdowns for the most outstanding members (this week) from The Bunker community. Great folks and a great community! The show is presented by VooDoo Wing Company with locations in Auburn, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Florence, Charlotte, Chapel Hill and Las Vegas. Bryan Matthews, Caleb Jones, Brian Stultz and Jay G. Tate reconvene in the Old Football Complex to discuss the most pressing news, which today centers on the football team's potential change at quarterback and the men's basketball team's huge win at Houston. Among specifics discussed: • Is Payton Thorne actually injured? Does this mean Hank Brown is about to start again? • Freeze took it easy on Jarquez Hunter during the off week. • Who is actually calling the (offensive) plays? Does it matter? • What's up with Alex McPherson? • Why isn't Freeze more involved with recruiting his own players? • Miles Kelly sure was good against Vermont! • Tahaad Pettiford and Johni Broome were unstoppable against Houston. • What makes Auburn's defense special? • Saying goodbye to Sonny Smith as a broadcaster really stings. • Women's basketball landed itself a huge recruit of its own! The show ends with an nice supply of salutations, shoutouts and a couple shoutdowns for the most outstanding members (this week) from The Bunker community. Great folks and a great community! The show is presented by VooDoo Wing Company with locations in Auburn, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Florence, Charlotte, Chapel Hill and Las Vegas. Justin and Dan open the show by breaking down how Auburn football continues to go backwards — especially in home games — in Year 2 under Hugh Freeze. They look at what the Tigers were unable to do against Vanderbilt, including the puzzling lack of carries for Jarquez Hunter and the failure to capitalize on an outstanding defensive performance against Diego Pavia and company. Then it's a switch over to basketball, where they look at where Auburn improved from the first to second exhibition. Dan gives his thoughts on strong debuts from true freshmen Tahaad Pettiford and Jahki Howard. Justin shows how the Tigers rose to Bruce Pearl's challenges on offense and where they can improve on defense. The episode ends with a quick look at Wednesday night's season opener against a tricky Vermont team that's been a regular in the NCAA Tournament for years. Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview Vanderbilt's road trip to Auburn, which can be seen at 11:45 Central on the SEC Network. Auburn is a 6 1/2-point favorite according to BetOnline.ag. Topics include: Auburn coach Hugh Freeze has said he'd prefer not to see Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia again, and who can blame him after last year's upset at the hands of New Mexico State, where Pavia played. The Commodores aren't a big-play team but rely on ball control and not turning it over (1.0% rate). Auburn's defense has been excellent, allowing under 20 points a gam despite its offense putting it in awful position thanks to a turnover problem. The Tigers used an incredible Jarquez Hunter performance (272 yards) in a much-needed win at Kentucky last week. How aggressive will Vanderbilt's defense be in attacking Peyton Thorne? The Commodores have been vulnerable to big pass plays, and will have their hands full with Cam Coleman, KeAndre Lambert-Smith and crew. Who can get the game script they need in order to win? Justin and Dan open the show by breaking down Auburn football's 24-10 road win at Kentucky. They start with the resilient play of the Tigers' defense, which won big at the line of scrimmage and played well on the back end down the stretch. Dan projects what Auburn's secondary might look like in 2025 after throwing so many young players into the fire. The guys then switch over to the offensive performance. Justin explains why Auburn went so pass-heavy early and how the Tigers finally made the adjustment they needed to dominate the game. They rave over Jarquez Hunter's historic rushing performance and how he deserved a moment like this.In the second half of the episode, Henry Patton of Auburn Rivals calls in from South Carolina to share what he saw in the basketball exhibition win over Furman. Henry explains why Auburn's defense was so successful, how fans shouldn't overreact to individual performances and where the two true freshmen stood out the most. The show ends with a discussion of Stanley Kubrick and Halloween movies. If you're receiving this free podcast episode and would like to upgrade to a paid subscription that gives you access to all stories and premium podcast episodes, subscribe using the button below or clicking this link.Follow Dan (@dnpck), Henry (@Henry_Patton23) and Justin (@JFergusonAU) on Twitter.Photo Credit: Zach Bland/Auburn Tigers This is a public episode. Auburn travels to Missouri for an 11 Central kickoff, a game shown on ESPN. Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview the game. Topics include: Missouri quarterback Brady Cook has been just a little off early and is capable of a season like 2023's. Luther Burden gives Missouri explosive potential in the passing game. Nate Noel and DeMarcus Carroll form a nice rushing tandem. But Auburn's defense allows just 5.0 yards per snap and has played well. Coach Hugh Freeze has admitted that Auburn running back Jarquez Hunter needs more touches--Hunter could be a key on Saturday. Can Peyton Thorne avoid turnovers and lead Auburn to victory? Chase Robinson and Chris Lee preview and share their predictions for Arkansas's road trip to Auburn in Week 4 of the 2024 college football season. Topics include: Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green struggled against UAB but his dual-threat ability has given opponents trouble. Arkansas running back Ja'Quinden Jackson has been one of the SEC's best. The Razorbacks have a host of targets that include Andrew Armstrong, Tyrone Borden, Luke Hasz and others. Auburn's defense is keyed by Jerrin Thompson, Jalen McLeod, Kayin Lee and others. Auburn replaced starting quarterback Peyton Thorne with Hank Brown, who played the entire time in throwing four touchdowns and no picks in a win over New Mexico. He'll have Cam Coleman, KeAndre Lambert-Smith and others as targets. The Tigers' best chance for success is All-SEC running back Jarquez Hunter, but he'll be matched against a stiff Arkansas front led by preseason All-SEC pick Landon Jackson. Arkansas missed Hudson Clark for most of the last two games but Doneiko Slaugher has been productive at safety in the meantime. The Hawks are big across the front with Eric Gregory, Cam Ball and others.
