Every Guru's got to make money, so they'll make it as complex as possible and keep it all behind a paywall - Kevin Casey is changing the game. A man of the people. In his 5 star book (Un)Selling he breaks the fourth wall.Buyers are afraid of salespeople.Salespeople are afraid of other salespeople. What a mess.Kevin Casey understands your sales anxiety. In 2012, he was on the verge of closing the biggest sale of his life. Or so he thought… But when he accidentally pressed the “mute” button instead of hanging up, he heard the truth. The people who were singing his praises thirty seconds before were no trash-talking like a bunch of schoolyard bullies as they revealed their true intentions to pump Kevin for information and use it to save a few bucks with another agency. His heart sank as he realised the harsh truth:He had wasted most of his sales life chasing lies, not leads.Over the next eight years, Kevin used that lesson as fuel to discover a better way to sell—without the hustle, grinding, nagging, chasing, and trickery.Inside, Kevin unveils 14 (un)conventional principles that contradict traditional sales training and even your natural instincts.Using the Zero Pressure Sales Sequence, you'll embrace the art of the opposite to make selling more comfortable and predictable. If this idea intrigues you, I invite you to set out on a journey where selling won't seem like selling at all.Check out Kevin here - https://www.linkedin.com/in/unselling/Buy (UN)selling here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/selling-conventional-principles-anxiety-increase/dp/1739028813

Kevin Casey White! Comedian! Podcaster! Friend! Delight! Guy with a new special called "Harangue" out now! ABOUT KEVIN: Brooklyn-based indie-comedy darling Kevin Casey White has been described by the Chicago Tribune as the “...physical expression of an exclamation point”. A cheerful cynic with a dynamic stage presence, Kevin balances polished written material with razor-sharp crowd work. Performing on tour and at festivals throughout the US and beyond, from The Fest in Gainesville, to “Romania's Got Talent” has honed Kevin's game and proven him a must-see rising star. He has appeared on Comedy Central's Alternatino, as well as Audible's Comedy Show Show where he was praised by hero Will Arnett (Bojack Horseman, Arrested Development) for his “fair, unbiased wit”. Kevin co-hosts the podcast Close Calls with fellow comedian Lizzy Cassidy where guests share tales of times when they have nearly died. ABOUT "HARANGUE": As a child, Kevin thought being a comedian looked like the coolest job in the world. He grew up with Robin Williams and Richard Pryor on VHS, and did his first open-mic two decades ago when he was just 18. Kevin really cut his teeth after moving from St. Louis to Chicago in 2011, and continued to grow with a move to NYC in 2016, although it hasn't been a cakewalk: “I was working a dead end job waiting tables at a crappy sports bar in Manhattan, and I was miserable. My buddy, comic J.F. Harris told me ‘No one is coming to save us.' The days of Carson calling you over to the couch are long gone. I wrote ‘Kevin Casey White is recording an album this year' on a scrap of paper, which I hung next to my door.” Comedy audiences can rejoice that the motivational note worked! Filmed at The Comedy Corner Underground in Minneapolis which Kevin describes as "a weird little punk rock comedy club", Harangue captures the dynamically hilarious and chaotic feel of a real, live comedy show: “I wanted it to feel like a skate video and capture the essence of what my shows really feel like“ explains Kevin. He gets dirty with seniors, teases Joe Rogan and ceiling fans, explores hell gigs, drinking and sobriety, break ups, the consequences of doing nice things for bad people, and how his balding head is causing him to lose his punk rock edge. Often veering off-script with off-the-cuff crowd work, Harangue reaches a crescendo when Kevin interacts with a front-row audience member to find out why she is seated next to an empty seat. When he learns that she was stood-up, he defends her honor with a well-aimed and thoroughly memorable cellular harangue! ABOUT THIS PODCAST: I chat with Kevin! We have a great time! And this is only the first HALF of our chat. For the second half, subscribe via Apple Podcasts OR just click over here to Patreon! Enjoy!

Ever wondered if a path to enlightenment could be paved with punchlines? In a world where laughter meets deep thought, I, Bobby Jaycox, sit down with my buddy and fellow comedian, Kevin Casey White, for a rollicking conversation that will tickle your funny bone and touch your soul. You're in for an adventure from the get-go, as we swap ridiculous hairstyles and even more ridiculous life choices, revealing the heart and humor in our quests for a life less ordinary.Strap in for stories that span the highs of backstage shenanigans with beloved bands to the humble epiphanies found in the pursuit of stand-up comedy. Kevin and I get real about the evolution from craving the spotlight for validation to relishing in the art of performance purely for love. It's an honest peek behind the curtain where passions collide, success is redefined, and every gig becomes a joyous celebration—whether it's arm wrestling strangers or opening for our high school heroes, Story of the Year. And if you've ever thought strip clubs lacked entrepreneurial innovation, wait until you hear our unique business idea that's sure to be a splash. From reflections on crafting a comedy special to tales of sneaking into concerts, this episode is like the wildest after-party chat you've never had. Join us for a session where the only thing more infectious than the laughter is the inspiration to live your best life, one joke and one dream at a time.

In the summer of 1973, a couple parked near the Big Muddy River were startled by a creature approaching their car. After fleeing the scene, the couple alerted the police -who found large footprints and a matted patch of fur at the location. One night later, the creature is witnessed again by two police officers, who described the creature as over 7 feet tall and weighing over 300lbs! The beast retreated to the river, leaving a trail of mud and slime. There would be more sightings of this monster over the years, the last official in 1976. However, it's legend perseveres… Join the SE Crew this week as we discuss the “Big Muddy Monster!”PLEASE LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, RATE, AND REVIEW ON ALL PLATFORMS: YouTube, Facebook, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher Radio, Spreaker, or wherever you listen!SASQUATCH EXPERIENCE, SASQUATCH EXPERIENCE CLASSICS, & SASQUATCH EXPERIENCE: STILL SEARCHING are brought to you by Sean Forker, Henry May, Vance Nesbitt, Matt Arner, and James Baker. This week on Sasquatch Experience…In 1973, residents of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, experienced a rare and bizarre phenomenon known as the “double flap,” a series of events involving sightings of both UFOs and Bigfoot creatures. The first encounter with Bigfoot occurred in December 1972, when residents of Greensburg reported seeing a hairy, bipedal creature chasing their neighbor's two dogs in the middle of the day. The following month, glowing spheres of pure white light were reported hovering in the sky, from which shards of luminous material fell toward the ground. Kevin Casey was doing it all wrong......selling, that is.He realized traditional selling techniques pushed potential clients away, unintentionally. So he started unselling - a strategy he's now perfected, heck, he's even written a book about it.He's fully transparent about his eating crow moments and how he's completely rethought his approach to selling.Kevin is also the kind of guy you could have a beer (or a few beers) with and lose track of time.Listen to his weekly video tips and sign up for his book, "Unselling"Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/eating-crow. We're back!! After a wonderfully busy summer, we are back with a whole new season and we have some great stuff planned. To kick things off, we're talking about where we find ourselves as this school year starts, and the themes we are focusing on this season. These themes feel relevant in this moment and will guide us through the season. They are: The importance of public schools The power of storytelling The power of proximity and the importance of being in community Stamina - the importance of finding hope and relationships to sustain the work We also talk about a very exciting event that happened this summer . . . at least it was exciting for your co-hosts, as we met in person for the first time! Our biggest ask for you, in addition to sharing the podcast with others, is to send us your voice memos. Given the theme of the power of storytelling, we are really hoping to feature your stories as much as possible this season. So, whether you have a full story, or just a thought that has been lingering, we want to hear from you! Why do you think public schools are important? How are finding your way into community? How are you struggling? Where do you turn when you need hope or stamina? What else should we be talking about? Send us your ideas - speakpipe.com/integratedschools, or click the "send voicemail" button on the side of our website, or just record a voice memo on your phone and email it to us at podcast@integratedschools.org. As Season 9 comes to a close, we reflect on some of the amazing conversations we had over the past 16 episodes, and hear from you about what you're grappling with. From the Heather McGhee's episode in the very beginning of the season through Episode 15 on school lunches, we tried to focus on solidarity and elevating voices that have been missing from our conversations. Cathryn and The Saviors focused on the experience of one low-income parent, The Segregated Lives of Preschoolers focused on our youngest learners, The Intersections of Disability, Race, and Segregation began unpacking the needs of disabled students and caregivers. And, of course, we featured student voice in Between the Lines: An EPIC Comeback. Students are the most directly impacted by our education system, so we lean into to featuring their voice and their perspective whenever possible. Through it all, we leaned into nuance, recognizing that no one has all the answers, and that the best way to know better and do better is through relationships. Lots of thanks for the season: All of our guests who were willing to share their insights, their perspectives, their research, and their values. We are all richer for having heard from you. Do you remember waiting in line at school for square pizza and chocolate milk? This seemingly everyday ritual holds the key to significant and meaningful change within our education system. Today, we delve deep into the fascinating world of The School Lunch Program and its potential for transformative impact. We're joined by Dr. Jennifer Gaddis, an associate professor at The University of Wisconsin-Madison, known for her compelling research on school food and the systems and politics surrounding it. With over 30 million students participating in school meal programs daily, we explore the historical context and the challenges faced by these programs, such as dealing with stigma, shame, and access to quality nutrition. Furthermore, we touch on environmental justice and the farm-to-school program, spotlighting the importance of fostering strong relationships between local communities, farmers, and the education sector. As we tackle labor issues and financial challenges faced by schools in providing scratch cooking options, we also celebrate the inspiring stories of schools and organizations making positive changes in lunch programs across the nation. Ultimately, Dr. Gaddis encourages us all to participate in the school lunch program, as that is the most likely way to create a system that serves all kids, our environment, and food service workers best. What impressions do that have? If they aren't eating it, what barriers are there? Use the links above to learn more about the school lunch program, and find ways to connect with local advocacy efforts around universal lunch. Find ways to increase your participation in the program, and encourage others to do the same. Even simple steps such as sending a main course, but getting sides, or participation a couple of days a week / month, can have meaningful impacts on the system. We often talk about school segregation from a racial and /or class perspective, but an equally concerning issue is the segregation of kids based on dis/ability. And while many disabled students are marginalized by our educational system, it is particularly true for students of color. It's an overdue conversation for us on the podcast, and it's an important one, because, as the conversation makes clear, all forms of oppression are linked together, and destroying one will require them all to fall. We are joined for the conversation by Joyner Emrick, a disabled person with two disabled kids, and Shubha Balabaer, a non-disabled parent to a disabled toddler. They both offer insight and vulnerability about a subject that is often hard to talk about. From the choice for person or identity first language, to the medical vs social model of disability, the conversations lives in the nuance of a complicated topic. We try to ground ourselves in the disability justice movement and its dedication to dismantling systemic oppression. It is clear that the fight for disability rights is inextricably linked to the fight for social justice and equity for all.
