World's Collide, When Seinfeld's Jackie Chiles Meets Seinfeld's Lloyd Braun on Monstrosity with David Race! Another great episode of Monstrosity with in-studio guest Phil Morris (lawyer "Jackie Chiles" from Seinfeld), and Matt McCoy (George's arch enemy "Lloyd Braun" from Seinfeld), appear together for the first half of the show. There are great inside Seinfeld stories, and general merriment, between Phil, Matt, and David Race. Phil Morris also talks about his appearances on nearly every version of Star Trek, starting with the original show in 1966! Later in the episode comedian Joey Gaynor pops on, to discuss his first-hand witnessing of the ghosts of "The Comedy Store" Make sure you never miss an episode of Monstrosity, by subscribing for free in whatever platform you listen on. The Seinbros discuss The Non-Fat Yogurt and The Barber episodes of Seinfeld. They try to figure out what their favorite frozen yogurt is and what has happened to Frozen yogurt (it used to be so popular). They give their thoughts on Lloyd Braun and Jonah dives into his role on Seinfeld. Does the @#$# swearing working on the show? The brothers try to figure out what is going on with the Barber and have a semi-hot take on Enzo's haircuts. Is Edward Scissorhands as emotional of a movie as Enzo and Gino think? They discuss more about the episode but of course....you will have to listen.
This episode is so f*ckin' good! Elaine puts on 7 pounds eating some frozen yogurt that was advertised as non-fat, but actually has all the fat to make her a whale in the eyes of Kramer and Lloyd Braun. JLD gets a great plot, but not enough of the comedy!
Seinfeld Episode 3 (Season 9) Summery: “George competes with Lloyd Braun at selling computers in the Costanzas' garage. Frank shouts ‘serenity now' to keep calm. This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey wrap-up Season 7 aka the season that George kills Susan lol! It's also a season with the strongest connective tissue and over arching storyline with the marriage pact between Jerry and George. But the real standout from S7 is how much emphasis was put on side characters. A lot of classic ones show up for the first time or for the first time with the actor we associate with them (e.g. Matt McCoy as Lloyd Braun). In 2014, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the debut of the "show about nothing," the Brooklyn Cyclones, a minor league baseball team, renamed their MCU ballpark in Brooklyn, New York for a promo night to honor the legendary, made-up latex business in the 1990's sitcom Seinfeld by calling it, “Vandelay Industries Park.” And it didn't stop there. It drew a sell-out, packed crowd of Seinfeld enthusiasts. When we walked into the stadium that July night in 2014, we received the “Keith Hernandez Magic Loogie” bobblehead and were greeted by the real Kramer (aka “the Ass-man” aka Michael Richards). We also saw the actual “Soup Nazi” and men wearing “the puffy shirt!”…There was a real “Marine Biologist” who threw out the ceremonial first pitch (which was a Titleist golf ball haha) and instead of the 7th inning stretch, there were a group of Elaine look-a-likes on the field who did Elaine's notorious “little kicks dance” (Yikes! haha), and to celebrate the night, “a donation was made in our names to The Human Fund – Money For People” courtesies of George Costanza. He was so nice. He made a donation in everyone's name. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, the “foul poles” were renamed that evening as “the festivus poles” for George's father, Frank's made-up fake holiday! There was a George Castanza Snickers eating compeition and you could air grievances at the kiosk down the first base line. They even had a low talking PA Announcer haha. Everyone, including us who are huge Seinfeld fanatics had such a great time that night in Brooklyn in 2014, that the organization quickly decided to make the promo night an annual tradition. When ballgames pick back up, and fans are permitted again, be sure to put this promo night on your family's calendar so you can get your “fusilli Jerry or Lloyd Braun bobblehead!” If you are a United States Postal Service worker (shout out to Newman haha) and come dressed as one with your USPS ID card you will get in free! Lastly, don't fill up too much beforehand at dinner before you go to the game because they will be sure to have all “The Big Salads”, “Marble Ryes”, “Junior Mints” and “Black and White Cookies” you can eat. In this hilarious podcast episode the two of us laugh it up, reminisce about that inaugural night, and talk about our all-time favorite Seinfeld episodes, characters, and scenes. Today's Flash Back Friday comes from Episode 80, originally published in May 2013. Relationship expert and best-selling author, Dr. John Gray, joins Jason Hartman to talk about research studies and Dr. Gray's new work, “Boys to Men.” Dr. Gray talks about how his observations have been backed up by and further explained by brain studies, showing obvious differences between men and women in brain function and hormones that affect health and behavior. He offers a deeper explanation of these differences based on scientific research showing how activities particular to each gender, diet, and an increased existence of xenoestrogens in our environment play a significant role in hormonal balance and imbalance. Dr. Gray discusses the proper use of supplements and the dangers of pharmaceuticals. This leads into his new work regarding healthy male development and his upcoming new book, Boys to Men, a look at how boys have been affected by today's culture, showing a higher dropout rate than girls, lower comprehension, and higher instances of boredom and depression. The high carbohydrate diet we consume plays a big role in this trend, and he cites inflammation in the brain as one factor in decreased comprehension. He describes activities, diet and supplements that can alleviate inflammation and stress and bring about optimal health in both men and women. John Gray, Ph.D. is the best-selling relationship author of all time and the most trusted voice in relationships today. He is the author of 17 books, including The New York Times #1 Best-Selling Book of the last decade, MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS. His 17 books have sold over 50 million copies in 50 different languages around the world. John is a leading internationally recognized expert in the fields of communication and relationships. His unique focus is assisting men and women in understanding, respecting and appreciating their differences. John's advice can be easily used to improve relationships at home and in the workplace. For more than 35 years, John Gray has conducted public and private seminars for thousands of participants. In his highly acclaimed books, videos and transformational seminars, John entertains and inspires audiences with practical communication techniques. John's purpose is to create a world where men and women understand, respect, appreciate and ultimately work together. Summit Entertainment (Lionsgate) has purchased the rights to John Gray's bestseller “Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus” with the intention of creating a feature film and TV series. Summit has hired Harry Elfont and Deborah Kaplan to adapt and direct the title into a romantic comedy, with BermanBraun's Lloyd Braun and Gail Berman producing. John Gray is a popular speaker on the national and international lecture circuit and often appears on television and radio programs to discuss his work. He has made guest appearances on such shows as Oprah, The Dr. Oz Show, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The CBS Morning Show, Live with Regis, Fox & Friends Weekend, Good Morning New York, Larry King Live, CNN and Company and many others.
