Greg Lutzka is a professional skateboarder and entrepreneur from Milwaukee, WI. Greg's career has spanned decades and his list of accomplishments goes on and on. His new documentary titled "One Way Ticket" is now available on Amazon and gives a great summary of his career so far. Greg dropped out of high school and moved to California to chase his dreams of being a pro skateboarder. It didn't take long for that dream to become a reality. Throughout his career Greg had pro models on Illenium, Krooked, Almost, and Darkstar before creating his own line of skateboards that are now sold in Walmart locations worldwide. Greg has had numerous video parts and won nearly every major skateboard contest on the planet throughout his twenties. He was one of the first pro skateboarders to branch out of the skateboard industry and rode for major corporate brands including Toyota, Visa, Rockstar, K-Swiss, and more. Eventually his window as a top pro began to close he turned to entrepreneurship and became even more successful. He now stays busy with his dozens of properties, businesses, his tv show on Fuel TV, and more. We recorded this episode at Billy Duece's studio in Milwaukee on a recent trip back home for Greg. What was meant to be a one hour visit turned into 3 hours of conversation on and off the mic. In this episode we discuss his transition into entrepreneurship, investing at a young age, his plans to teach others, his new documentary, top skateboarding moments, the school of life, giving back, how to negotiate with brands, and why it's all worth it.

Duncan Trussell is an American actor and stand-up comic. And he doesn't like being called a Buddhist comedian. It makes sense… that label unfairly pigeonholes him in two ways. First, because he's a legit, successful, hilarious comedian, no matter what his spiritual leanings. Duncan has written and appeared in sketches for two seasons of Fuel TV's Stupidface, Showtime's La La Land, Comedy Central's Nick Swardson's Pretend Time, and both seasons of HBO's Funny or Die Presents. His television credits include MADtv and Curb Your Enthusiasm. And when it comes to the spiritual stuff, he's not just a Buddhist. This guy is spiritually omnivorous. And he knows his shit. He has practiced extensively. And on his podcast, The Duncan Trussell Family Hour, he interviews meditation teachers like Jack Kornfield and Sharon Salzberg. In fact, Netflix turned his pod into a cult favorite animated TV show, called The Midnight Gospel. In this episode we talk about:Depression, anxiety, death, and Duncan's interpretation of God How meditation helps him handle the insanity of HollywoodThe Buddhist hell realms as psychological statesSpirituality and psychedelicsIf having a contemplative practice can hurt our job, form of expression, or ambitionKarmic and samsaric patterns – and enjoying your ego while you have oneIf we're all capable of loveRelated Episodes:#603. One moment they're here, the next they're gone. The UFC returned from their holiday hiatus with a pair of shows to open 2023, and have promptly disappeared again—leaving us out here twisting in the breeze. As a result, we've had no other option than to get back on our bullshit. This time around, we're remembering some of MMA's most famed/notorious/one-dimensional guard grapplers. The men who loved to dive for kneebars and heel hooks and got lit up like a Christmas tree when that didn't work. To open the show, we're re-watching Paul Sass and his fight with Danny Castillo at UFC on Fuel TV 7. We're following that up with a PRIDE classic; Masakazu Imanari's bout with Luiz Firmino at PRIDE Bushido 5. Finally, we're closing the show with Rousimar Palhares and one of the few decisions of his career, against Dan Henderson at UFC 88. As usual, we're watching all three fights over on Fight Pass. For listeners that would like to follow along with us, just press play at the 0:00 mark of each video, when Zane says “Go.” For those of you not using Fight Pass, Connor will try and announce the start of round 1 for each bout, so that listeners can sync their videos up there.
