Well, that was not the moon blocking the light, one Mexican TV station's solar eclipse coverage Monday was totally nuts, as in what ended up on the screen was a pair of testicles. New anchors for Mexico's RCG Media were commenting just as the eclipse entered totality, but things really got interesting when they cut to a different angle of the event. Seconds later, the testes dipped into frame, blocking the light and giving audiences a brief, but very up-close look at someone's family jewels. As for how the testicles ended up on the broadcast? RCG Media reportedly asked viewers to send in personal eclipse footage which, in hindsight, was a very risky idea. And you could see the visible shock on the faces of 2 of the anchors on set. Though the Mexican station is likely not laughing over the on-air hiccup, the Internet has gotten a kick out of the now viral mooning, joking the flashing did more damage to their eyesight than the eclipse. I've been studying self-development since learning English as a kid. But I have memories, even as a young girl, of being mesmerized by Gloria Steinem's inspiring messages, seeing her on Mexican TV, as her words were translated into Spanish. As an adult, my love of self-development led me to breathwork, meditation, books, fitness, and eventually to NLP, and then to coaching others. Over the years, I've evolved and have discovered my why for being here and doing what I do. It's what lights me up and gives my life meaning. I haven't always known my purpose, even though I experienced success in many areas. There was a time when I felt like I had arrived. I was living in a 5,000 square-foot home — just me and my two boys, working long hours, and collecting a lot of things. But I was lacking real purpose and meaning. My purpose has revealed itself as I've been on my journey. I have evolved and so have my programs and services. I've become bolder, more true to myself. Some of the clients that I had a couple of years ago wouldn't be my clients today. And that's okay. If there's one thing I've learned, there are many ways to get to where you want to go. I'm embracing the methods that have worked for my clients and me. And I'm going all-in. I realize that I can't make anything happen for anyone. But I can provide you with resources, a blueprint for success, and support so that you can make things happen for yourself. That's why I offer multiple layers of resources for you to access at whatever level you're ready for. There's this podcast, the free Facebook Community, our Revolution Program, and one-on-one coaching. Each layer is available for you when you're ready for it. And I'm right there, doing the work with you so that I'm serving as a model. This allows me to live with purpose and from a place of integrity and authenticity. “Well, this sounds great, but what if I don't know what my purpose is?” That's okay! I didn't know for a long time either. I suggest you work from where you are. Maybe you don't know what your purpose is, but you know what it's not. In that case, focus on what it would feel like to be living from your purpose if you knew what it was. In time, with focus work, your purpose will come to you. The work that you'll find in my programs requires time and effort. But the overall intention is to make everything easier, more in sync and save you so much time — because you'll be pointed in the right direction — your direction. In the direction of your why.
When I started watching the Mexican TV show, House of Flowers, I was immediately struck by this one character's way of speaking. She spoke so slowly and strangely, I thought maybe the actor was a non-native speaker – which would have been odd for a show about a family. I was so curious about this actor's voice, I looked her up and discovered that, no, in fact, she is Mexican – though she trained in the US and worked at Steppenwolf, no less. I had no explanation for this voice but I was still intrigued. Then a few episodes in, I had another question about this show, so I looked it up on Wikipedia and suddenly discovered that this character's voice was a phenomenon.
