Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today we're discussing what would've happened if Draco Malfoy had been sorted into Gryffindor House instead of Slytherin. For this particular hypothetical scenario, I must admit that the first question I found myself asking was: If sorted into Gryffindor, would Draco have been more of a Peter Pettigrew or a Sirius Black? That is to say, would he have played the part of a Gryffindor, only to betray his loyalties later and serve Voldemort in secret as Pettigrew did. OR, coming from a pure-blood family infamously known for their ties to the Dark Lord and Dark Arts, would he have openly and with pure intentions shirked his family's affiliations and ideologies in favour of the “greater good” and doing “what was right,” similarly to Sirius Black. Personally, I believe it would've been the former. Sorry to any Draco fans out there but I just can't see young Malfoy outright abandoning his anti-muggle sentiments and pure-blooded favouritism with the drop of a hat – Sorting Hat that is (sorry, couldn't help myself!). That said, I think his time at Hogwarts wouldn't have been nearly as pleasant for him had he been sorted into Gryffindor. I think, eventually, he would've found his footing and been just as confident in his beliefs as he was pre-Sorting-Ceremony. But, at first, filled with shock and horror at NOT having been placed in Slytherin – as his entire family had been before him – his arrogance and self-confidence would've been at least a little bit shaken. Because, as you may recall, he was SO certain he would be sorted into Slytherin. In fact, well in advance of the Sorting Ceremony, he went so far as to boast to Harry that he would MOST DEFINITELY be placed in Slytherin, saying, “Well, no one really knows until they get there, do they, but I know I'll be in Slytherin, all our family have been…” So, can you imagine how completely shattering it would've been for a young Draco to have been placed in the rival house of Gryffindor? His certainty in his future, his sense of self, his very identity – which had been infuriatingly boastful before – would've been put into question. Not to mention what his mother and father would say about this absolutely “TERRIBLE” news!

Get ready for the youth soccer edition of Old Millennials Remember Movies! Okay, disclaimer: Hosts Angela and Tyler don't really like soccer, and they really don't know why they decided to watch these little-seen soccer movies from the 90s. "The Big Green" is your standard live-action Disney sports comedy - think "The Mighty Ducks" only less good. Steve Guttenberg is here as a small-town sheriff who coaches...err, wait, the British teacher coaches the team. Actually, The Gutes serves no story purpose in the movie. He's there to hit on the teacher and serve a perfunctory role in the film's immigration subplot. Yes, "The Big Green" tackles the topic of immigration with surprising compassion. But there's also a bunch of soccer in the movie, including a climactic "big game" that feels like it plays out in real-time. Why are we watching scenes of kids throwing the ball in from out of bounds? Show us the goals and MOVE IT ALONG! The Old Millennials also discuss the Rodney Dangerfield turd, "Ladybugs," a movie that was probably offensive back in 1992, but is MOST DEFINITELY offensive now. Lots of Rodney (as a guy named Chester, not better) making derogatory remarks towards women, and don't let us forget to mention the implied rape joke that gets played in the movie's theatrical trailer. Oh yeah, and a boy puts on a wig to play for a girl's soccer team. At least in "The Big Green," the team is co-ed and nobody tries to act superior to anybody else. Tonight we will speaking to three eyewitnesses. Mike from Virginia writes “Summer of 1989 a few friends and I “6 to be exact” decided to go to a very rural gravel backroad to party, drink etc. In my home state of Virginia. We all piled in my buddies Toyota 4wd pickup and headed out, it was a terribly hot and humid night, but very clear with a full moon. One of my friends was a female, who would sneak out to be with her boyfriend “One of my other friends with me”. We arrived somewhere close to 11PM and began to drink, laugh, and kid around. We had the radio going, but not very loud at all. Out of nowhere we heard a HUGE CRASH, sounded just like something fell out of a tree “Looking back I’m convinced that’s what it was” immediately after that we could hear VERY heavy footsteps. I’ve been in the woods all my life, and have heard about everything walking. This thing was different, it was MOST DEFINITELY walking on 2 legs. It circled us for what seemed like FOREVER roughly 50 to 75 yards deep in the treeline. The area is so thick I had a 1 million candlelight spotlight and it wouldn’t penetrate the cover. It was making VERY unusual deep grunting/growling sounds. One thing I noticed looking back was there were NO usual forest sounds. No cicadas “Which flood Virginia” in the Summer. No frogs, no crickets, no whiperwills NOTHING. We tracked the sounds to about 150 to 200 yards behind us, all of a sudden this thing let loose a ROAR that I could NEVER even attempt to explain. We FELT IT from that distance, it scared us to DEATH. Immediately after the roar it stepped out of the treeline to give us our first glimpse. This thing was MASSIVE at least 8ft tall and 4ft wide. This thing was WHITE yes WHITE!! It climbed what looked to be a 30ft bank up to the road in about 3 steps. Immediately we scrambled to get in the truck, I was driving and floored the gas spinning gravel. It was on top of us in a matter of seconds, one of my buddies hit it with a 30 ton bottle Jack that was in the back of the truck and it just bounced off. It scared us so bad that 3 of us lost control of our bladders. The girl I mentioned earlier that snuck out, she had a nervous breakdown she was FRANTIC!! We had to take her home to her parents “Who had no idea she’d even left the house” and try to explain to them what had happened.” We'll also be speaking to Dustin who had a strange encounter with his brother in Michigan.
