Watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/F8UJDgFt8pE In Episode 344 of the Glass and Out Podcast, we welcome Development Coach with the Utah Mammoth, Nathaniel Brooks. Brooks presented at our 2023 edition of TCS Live. At the time, he was an Associate Coach at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryserson University), where he spent seven seasons. Later that summer, he was hired as a Development Coach by the Arizona Coyotes, a role he has continued to evolve in since the franchise's move to Utah. The Mammoth are flush with young superstars and incoming prospects. But stockpiling talent is only half the battle in the NHL. Nurturing those prospects into everyday NHLers is the tricky part. You can check out his on-ice presentation on optimizing offensive zone play through position over possession now on The Coache Site. Listen as he shares how he defines the fundamentals, how to improve a player's play away from the puck, and the process of skill stacking. Dusty has the day off, but the studio is absolutely buzzing! Tom Gazzola steps into the host seat today on 2 Guys and a Goalie, and he's joined by Joaquin "Gager" Gage to tackle the single most controversial headline in Edmonton sports media right now.   An article dropped in the Edmonton Journal yesterday, with the entire city losing its mind. The piece doesn't just critique the team—it takes a direct run at number 97, questioning his leadership style and aggressively asking: Should Connor McDavid even be the captain of the Edmonton Oilers? Gager and Tommy pull no punches as they dive headfirst into this massive debate. Is this critique completely unhinged journalistic malpractice, or is there a microscopic kernel of truth about what this room needs moving forward?   The Roster & Rallies: Gager gives his raw, unfiltered perspective as a former NHLer on what McDavid brings to the table, how the room views him, and why turning on a generational superstar is a dangerous game for local media to play. The Coaching Carousel Search: While the captaincy debate continues, Stan Bowman is still locating his next bench boss. The boys update the timeline on Craig Berube and the strategic standoff with Vegas over Bruce Cassidy. What is taking so long, and who actually lands the job?   2 Guys & a Goalie is presented by GS Construction!

To begin, Ray weighs in on Mitch Marner's dominant postseason run, what's changed in his game during these playoffs with Vegas, and the Golden Knights' Game 1 victory over Colorado in the Western Conference Final. After some Conference Final chatter, the conversation shifts to the Maple Leafs and their ongoing coaching search. Ferraro admits he's not exactly sure which direction Toronto is leaning, but notes that Jay Woodcroft would make plenty of sense behind the bench.Later on, Ray delivers a blunt reality check for Leafs Nation when discussing the No. 1 overall pick and Toronto's offseason outlook. He questions whether the current core is truly close to contending and wonders what meaningful assets the organization even has available to improve the roster via trade. In Ferraro's eyes, a rebuild may make more sense than sacrificing future assets just to remain a fringe playoff team.

He also stresses the importance of properly slotting players like Jake McCabe alongside the right partner, while admitting he didn't love the way Toronto deployed its defence corps this past season. The conversation then shifts to reports that the Leafs are willing to discuss anyone except Auston Matthews. Colby weighs in on whether Toronto can realistically address its needs on the trade market without moving one of the organization's core pieces, suggesting it may be difficult unless names like William Nylander or Matthew Knies are involved.Later, the guys dive into Toronto's ongoing coaching search. Colby shares his thoughts on David Carle and why he believes there's only a slim chance the Leafs can lure him away from Denver, emphasizing that money isn't the driving factor. With that in mind, he identifies Jay Woodcroft as a coaching candidate who really stands out to him for Toronto. To wrap things up, Colby discusses Gavin McKenna and his tremendous season at Penn State, plus whether he would take him first overall. While hesitant to make a definitive statement without seeing more of the other top prospects, Cohen notes that McKenna is “still a boy, not a man,” making his long-term upside even more enticing.

It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed Team Canada going to the gold medal game, Connor McDavid's new record, line combinations, trade targets, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Team Canada's two tight wins in the elimination games and whether facing that adversity will help them in the gold medal game. Given that the team has needed consecutive comebacks to beat Czechia and Finland, the boys wondered if grinding through those two games would better prepare them for what's to come on Sunday morning.Shifting gears, the guys looked at Team Canada's comeback win over Finland after the boys fell 2-0 early in the game, forcing a wild comeback over the final half. Starting with Connor McDavid setting an Olympic record with NHLers in the mix, it's been incredibly to watch No. 97 do his thing at such a high level. Even so, there was still controversy about the late penalty on Nathan MacKinnon that ultimately ended the game for Canada. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. With the 2025-26 season well past the midway point, the guys spent the bulk of the podcast moving through a range of topics, some related to the Oilers and others not, but that's the way things go on the Friday episode of ONR.SHOUTOUT TO OUR SPONSORS!!

It's Friday afternoon, which means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is ready to massage your eardrums with an hour of off-season Oilers talk. On today's podcast, the fellas discussed the Oilers at the Winter Games, Connor McDavid's debut, line combinations, Calvin Pickard's treatment, and more.We kicked off the Friday episode of ONR with a delicious debate about Calvin Pickard getting waived unfairly after his agent spoke to Jason Gregor and suggested the team didn't make the right decision. If you take Rich Winter at his word, Stan Bowman isn't even sure that Pickard isn't the best goalie he has right now, but does that really make sense given the team's decision? The numbers would suggest not.Shifting gears, the guys looked at Team Canada's first couple of games on the men's side and how much fun it's been to watch NHLers back on the ice representing their country. From the way Team Canada blew out Czechia in their first game to the way they're handling Switzerland today, getting to watch the best of the best squaring off for their countries is so much fun. The guys also spoke about Sidney Crosby as an elder statesmen on the team, and how Baggedmilk wishes Connor McDavid could be tethered to him for the three weeks they're away. Finally, we wrapped up the Friday episode of ONR with another round of Ask the Idiots, betting talk for our friends at bet365, and Hot and Cold Performers to look back on the week that was. The Business of Watches [013] Norqain CEO Ben Küffer On The NHL Partnership And The Challenge Of Standing Out In A Crowded Market

On this week's episode of The Business of Watches, we head to Nidau, Switzerland, where we sit down with Ben Küffer, the young Chief Executive Officer of family-owned watch brand Norqain. It's a frank discussion of the challenges of starting a brand and creating a signature watch–the Norqain Wild One–at a time when the industry is crowded with competitors, and it's tough to stand out. We focus on Norqain's unique strategy of recruiting former and current professional athletes as not only brand representatives, but also investors and executives. The big news is Norqain's deal to be the official luxury timepiece of the National Hockey League, an agreement guided by former NHLer and Norqain co-founder Mark Streit with some help from superstar and company investor Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins. We also discuss the surprise success of Norqain's 'Enjoy Life' Freedom 60 chronograph that struck a chord with consumers with its ice cream-themed colors and endorsement by Mark Wahlberg to become the brand's top-selling watch. Despite that success, and perhaps in a bid to play the scarcity card, Norqain now says it plans to discontinue the model, at least for now. But first, we're joined by TanTan Wang, who is back from Colorado, and some quality time with Oris's new Big Crown Pointer Date 'Bullseye.' We also talk about the recent headlines in the watch world, including the proposed sale of Richemont's Baume & Mercier to Italy's Damiani Group, as well as Omega's very commercial 300M diver, which it is launching for the Milano Cortina Winter Games. Show Notes 1:57 Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Bullseye 3:15 TanTan's essay and the fight against watch snobbery 3:47 Richemont Sells Baume & Mercier 5:43 Omega Releases A White Ceramic Seamaster 300M For Milano Cortina 2026 9:40 Norqain 10:22 Mark Streit 11:10 Norqain Scores Multi-Year Sponsorship Deal With NHL Aimed At Vaulting Swiss Brands To The Big Leagues 12:03 Sidney Crosby Partners With Watch Company Founded By Former NHLers (ESPN) 18:00 Talking Watches With Jean-Claude Biver 19:55 Norqain Wild One 20:25 BIWI SA 26:00 Hands-On with the Norqain Wild One (Fratello) 30:40 Hands-On With the Norqain Freedom 60 40mm Enjoy Life (Fratello) 35:55 Norqain Independence Skeleton Chrono 42mm 37:31 Swiss watch export statistics 39:44 Swiss watch industry employment 45:00 Stan Wawrinka 51:30 Norqain world and values
