Over the last 18 years, my volleyball journey has been a diverse one. On top of being a former collegiate indoor/Open-level beach player, I've coached junior college, NCAA Division III, and NCAA Division I. I've coached juniors club full time, and for the last ten years, I've coached beach volleyball. The environment has changed a lot, but there's always been one constant: I want to leave each player better than I found them. I'll do everything I can to help players become the best they're capable of, but never at the expense of treating them like human beings. I hope to teach lessons to the athletes that transcend the court, and I am so excited to work with every athlete who trusts me with their youth sports experience. 00:01 Coaching volleyball for 20 years with a focus on youth development. 5:53 Youth volleyball training and development. 9:40 Youth sports development and coaching philosophy. 14:02 Youth sports, coaching, and player development 17:50 Youth sports culture and player development. 22:02 Youth sports coaching challenges and retention. 25:27 Youth sports coaching and mental health. 36:59 College athletic programs and financial aid. 39:16 Youth volleyball coaching and player development 43:16 Coaching youth sports and personal connections. 47:15 Coaching youth volleyball with a focus on education and certification 51:28 Coaching development and talent vs. personality traits 55:08 Coaching volleyball with a focus on player development and team culture. 1:06:55 The benefits and challenges of multi-sport athletes. 1:36:24 Coaching, player development, and college athletics.
