The LORD your God is with you wherever you go [NKJV]
He who heeds the word wisely will find good, [NKJV]
This one is a tough one, but Jesus is for real!! He loves you and He wants a personal relationship with you!! Look out for Him, He's looking for you! “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.””Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
We have had a couple of requests for The Beatitudes which are at the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount. This is one of Jesus' most famous sermons and I'm thrilled to share this episode. There is a lot to unpack. It includes the Lord's Prayer (I get emotional reading that!) and teachings on loving our enemies and not worrying about tomorrow. I think it's important to mention that some of the teachings are metaphorical. Jesus does not want you to gauge out your eye. He is emphasizing the importance of eternal salvation over anything else--over any earthly sins or desires we may have.Again, I'm so blessed and excited to share this episode. We were in need of some red lettered words from Jesus. Thank you, God. Amen.We are reading Matthew 5 through 7 in the NIV. (I use some NKJV wording for The Lord's Prayer because it is how I learned it.)If you have been blessed by this podcast and would like toshow your support with a $1 donation, please go to paypal.me/hcharltoncrespin. Biblical Talks Signs are all around us and they are commands, warnings, directions, or all three. Signs can also be an indicator of the times. In this episode of Biblical Talks SD and Lady V discuss Matthew 24:1-51 English Standard Version. Jesus tells the disciples the signs of the end of the age. Thus, it is important for believers to pay attention to the signs. With that in mind, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read Matthew 24:1-51. If so -- what are your thoughts? If not, no worries, we've got you covered. In any case, join us with your Bible or Bible app. Also, go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post or subscribe and listen via your preferred podcast platform to follow along. Scriptures Referenced in Episode Discussion Matthew 24:1-14 Genesis Chapters 6, 7, & 8 John 3:16-17 Romans 10:9-10 Numbers 6:24-26 Receive your Free Gift of Salvation – The Gospel of Jesus Christ Explanation If you are reading this, it is not by chance. This is your time to receive the Gift of Salvation through Christ Jesus. Now, you may be wondering, "Why do I need that?" Oh, I'm so glad you asked. The Bible says, that because Adam ate fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil -- he released sin into the world. And ultimately, Adam's sin brought death and death spread to everyone. No doubt, you may be thinking, "Of course, everyone is going to die." But, my question to you is "Where will you spend eternity?" Because there is life after death. In fact, when you die you go to one of two places -- heaven or hell. Also, it is important to understand that Adam's sin also brought an eternity in hell. But for those who choose not to receive the free gift of eternal life. Thus, you must make that choice before you take your last breath. Romans 5:17 New Living Translation says, “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.” To sum it all up, Romans 6:23 New Living Translation says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” So, if you are reading this, don't let another day go by without receiving this life-changing gift. Scripture Romans 10:8-10 New Living Translation says, “8 …“The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Salvation Prayer Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. I ask You to forgive me. I want to follow You, Jesus. I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. By faith, I ask You to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your gift of grace and for eternity with You. Worship // Week 3 // In Our LivingPastors JF and Ashley WilkersonDiscipleshipMatthew 16:24-25 NIV24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. Matthew 28:16-20 NIV16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Discipleship Requires… Devotion Acts 2:42-47 NIV 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.Acts 2:46b-47a NIV46…They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people... Acts 2:47b NIV47…And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.Devotion is the quiet friction that polishes something from ordinary to sacred. It's not the grand act of giving everything at once, but the daily, gentle rub of attention and care.Discipleship Requires…Devotion…and Devotion Involves…Discipline2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.sōphronismos - sound mind, balance, self-discipline2 Timothy 1:7 NASB 7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.2 Timothy 1:7-9a NIV 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9a He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace… Galatians 5:13-17; 22-26 NIV 13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. 16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want…22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.Galatians 5:22-23a NIV22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.DiscipleshipRequires…Devotion…and Devotion Involves…Discipline1 Corinthians 11:23-26 NIV23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
SEP. 5, 2025SOS prayers."In my distress I cried to the Lord, and He heard me." Ps 120:1 NKJVThe three-digit emergency system has amazing capabilities. In most places in America, you need only dial those numbers to be instantly connected to a dispatcher. On a computer screen, the dispatcher instantly sees the caller's telephone number, address, and the name under which the number is listed. Also listening in on the call are police, fire, and paramedics. A caller need not say anything once the call is made. Even rasping coughs and hysterical cries have brought a quick response. The dispatcher knows where the call is coming from, and help is sent immediately. Sometimes our situation is so urgent and desperate that we can't put it into words, so we send up the SOS prayer, "Lord, I need your help!" And help is on the way. "It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear" (Isa 65:24 NKJV). Sometimes you feel the effects of something, but you don't understand the cause and you can't explain it.This is when the indwelling power of God's Spirit comes to your aid: "The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them" (Ro 8:26-28 NLT).SOS prayers "Lord, I need your help!"Share This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!
In this video, our global lead pastor, Pastor Shola Okodugha, teaches that the church must be a place where people find solace, joy, and peace. The local church must be intentional about loving one another. He also indicates concerning the teaching titled 'Breaking Generational Patterns' that the Word of God must always bring faith and never fear (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV).Destiny is the destination, the place where you are meant to be (Matthew 2:17, NKJV). Destiny is also place sensitive, people sensitive, and location sensitive (1 Chronicles 21:1, NKJV). Pastor Shola teaches further, that you cannot break out of what you are not aware of, because a breakout only comes by revelation.Genesis 12:10 NKJV, Genesis 26:1 NKJV, Genesis 20:2 KJVWhat are patterns? - Patterns are a circle of regularities that appear to be normal but carry strong spiritual and natural undertones. - Patterns are repeated, disguised events. - Patterns are sequences of consistent ideologies, events, or directions.Lamentations 5:7 NKJV, Ezekiel 18:1 NKJVWhy do patterns happen?- Patterns happen because of the consistency of images people have seen all their lives. Images are powerful, and humans are products of the images they see. Until an image is altered, it remains the same.- Patterns happen because of the legalities in the spirit.- There are also behavioral patterns that sustain those cycles.- Misdirection causes patterns to happen.Pastor Shola concludes the teaching by indicating that patterns are not always obvious, but they shape outcomes until they are broken. Awareness, revelation, and alignment with the Word of God are the keys to breaking free.ABOUT THE NEWWe are a people of love and excellence who are result-oriented, spirit-led, word-rooted, prayer-driven, and kingdom-conscious. SEP. 2, 2025How your faith can produce results (2)"God has dealt to each one a measure of faith." Ro 12:3 NKJVThank God, faith isn't reserved for deeply spiritual people. If that was the case, we would all be in trouble! The fact is that regular people from all walks of life can be faith filled. We're inclined to think faith belongs exclusively to people like Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Samuel, David, Daniel, Peter, and Paul. Now, without question, they were all faith heroes, but faith doesn't belong solely to them. The Bible tells us, "God has dealt to each one a measure of faith." No one will miss out on heaven because he or she wasn't given enough faith to "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved" (See Ac 16:31). God intended that not only should we have faith but that we should live by faith. Three times the New Testament assures us "the just shall live by faith" (Heb 10:38 NKJV). You reply, "Yes, but those biblical heroes had great faith; my faith is so small!" Did you know that the apostles felt the same way? They said to Jesus, "Increase our faith!" (Lk 17:5 NIV). And Jesus replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea, ' and it will obey you" (v. 6 NIV.) Like so many of us, the apostles thought they needed more faith. But Jesus corrected this spiritually crippling misperception by telling them you don't need a truckload of faith to see amazing outcomes. "Faith as small as a mustard seed" can bring about awesome results. When you put the faith, you already have been given into action, Jesus said it will produce results! How your faith can produce results Faith as small as a mustard seedShare This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!' But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'” Revelation 20:4 (NKJV): “And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” Colossians 4:3 (NKJV): “Meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains.” James 4:7 (NKJV): “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. [NKJV]
1 Corinthians 14:8-12 New King James Version 8 For if the trumpet makes an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle? 9 So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to understand, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air. 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of languages in the world, and none of them is without significance. 11 Therefore, if I do not know the meaning of the language, I shall be a foreigner to him who speaks, and he who speaks will be a foreigner to me. 12 Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel.

Your vision is more than an idea. In this timely word, Pastor Touré Roberts shares from Proverbs 29:18 (NKJV), showing how vision is the key to endurance, freedom, and focus as a believer of Christ. Fear is one of the greatest prisons, but this message reminds us that vision delivers us into the fullness of who God created us to be. As much as we hear about goal-setting and ambitions, God's revelation of His preferred future for our lives is what withstands tests, trials, and even our own brokenness. Vision is clarity from heaven that enables us to endure, establish boundaries, and persevere through resistance. If it comes from God, no opposition can destroy it. So, if you're seeking vision from God, go to Him. Pastor Roberts references Jeremiah 33:3 and tells us that vision comes through prayer and faith, stretching you beyond your natural ability. Write the vision, trust God to bring it to pass, and let it anchor your boundaries. When life throws us into the fire, it's not to destroy us — it's to reveal who is standing with us. In Daniel 3:16–30, we see one of the most powerful displays of faith in all of Scripture. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar's golden image, even when faced with the threat of a fiery furnace. Their courage, conviction, and trust in God show us how to live with unshakable faith in a world full of pressure and compromise.

Bible Reading: John 15:8-11Aunt Jan was brewing herbal tea when Leah was dropped off for a visit one Sunday afternoon. Leah happily sat down in the homey kitchen and sniffed the air. "Mmm, it smells good in here!""Orange blossom tea--my favorite," said Aunt Jan with a smile. She pointed to a cake on the counter. "Help yourself."Leah got a plate from the cupboard and cut a slice of cake. Aunt Jan raised her brows. "Why so quiet today?" she asked. "You usually talk my ears off!" Leah laughed. "I was just thinking," she said."Well then, why not let me think with you?" said Aunt Jan. "What are we thinking about?""The lesson we had in Sunday school today was about growing in the Lord," Leah said. "Our teacher said we need to grow as Christians in order to become like Jesus, but I'm confused. Didn't He change us when we put our faith in Him? I guess I don't quite get it.""You're right, Leah," said Aunt Jan. "Jesus did change us when we trusted Him to save us from sin--we changed from being dead in sin to alive in Christ. But it takes time to grow in our relationship with Him and become more like Him." She took a sip of tea, then looked down at her cup. "It's a lot like tea," she said."Tea?" Leah asked. "Yes, tea," said Aunt Jan. "The moment a tea bag is put into hot water, it's no longer water--it's tea. That's like what happens to us the moment Jesus comes into our lives. But even though Jesus saves us from sin in an instant, it takes longer for us to learn to live out His truth and love in different areas of our lives and become more like Him--just like tea grows stronger the longer the tea bag is in it. The more we learn about Jesus and depend on Him to work in our hearts, the more we grow in our relationship with Him and become more like Him."Leah grinned. "Thanks, Aunt Jan. I think I get it now!"–Cindy Van SchalkwykHow About You?Are you growing in your relationship with Jesus? Do you spend time praying to Him and reading His Word, the Bible? Do you go to church to learn more about Him and spend time with other Christians who can encourage and support you in your faith? As you grow in your relationship with Jesus, you'll become more like Him as He teaches you to trust Him and show His love to others. Today's Key Verse:Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (NKJV) (2 Peter 3:18)Today's Key Thought:Grow to be more like Jesus
