Andy and Brendan return for yet another marathon episode of the 2024 Year in Review, covering the final men's major of the year and the end of the PGA Tour's regular season. Before the Year in Review kicks off, they discuss some takeaways from TGL Media Day, where the world got to see Billy Boy and Rickie Fowler hit some shots into the oft-memed giant screen. There's also some college basketball discussion as Andy looks forward to sitting on the floor for another Cal Bears game this season. The Year in Review kicks off with the week of the Scottish Open, a win by Big Shot Bob after he received a free drop coming down the stretch on Sunday. This week also contained the news of Keegan Bradley's appointment as U.S. Ryder Cup captain and Andy goes in-depth on the feud between Bryson DeChambeau and Mike Schy. After a quick pitstop for the five-man playoff at the ISCO, PJ starts off Open Championship week with notes from the practice days. He shares that Viktor Hovland got existential amidst his spilt from the Chip Monk, and Tiger fired back at Colin Montgomerie's calls for his retirement. Andy jumps in for Thursday and Friday's rounds at Royal Troon, focusing primarily on Todd Hamilton's opening tee shot on Thursday morning. Brendan finishes off Xander's second major win, attempting to contextualize his season among others who have won two majors in the same year. Brendan continues on with the 3M Open, won by Jhonny Vegas, before another group effort remembering Scottie's gold medal win at the Paris Olympics. Andy handles the PGA Tour's regular season finale, the Wydnham Championship, which could just be named "Kucharfest" for 2024. Thanks to Kevin Prise's intrepid reporting, Andy goes minute-by-minute for Matt Kuchar's Monday finish, one of the most ridiculous golf moments in recent memory.

Hour 1 Boomer is not happy with our new building entrance today because he couldn't get in on the side bike entrance. Hard Knocks showed Saquon Barkey's departure from the Giants to the Eagles and Boomer thinks that while we saw most of it, there are some missing pieces. Joe Schoen wanted to spend more money on the offensive line. Jerry wants to know why the Giants couldn't budge at all for a player they already know is good. The Giants outbid the Jets for Jon Runyan but lost out on Tyrod Taylor. Jerry wonders why anyone would still want to be a running back seeing as they don't make nearly as much money as other positions. Boomer wants to see a ‘Running Back” docuseries next. CLo is here for his first update of the day but first, Boomer and CLo and Fliegs to tell Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin that they want MLB all-stars to wear their regular uniforms during the all-star game. CLo has the audio of John Mara saying he will not sleep well if Saquon leaves for the Eagles, which Saquon did do. Boomer thinks Patrick Mahomes could be in line for another raise soon. Davante Adams' agent wants the trade speculation to go away but it will not. Adams himself even said if he relocates it will be to reunite with Aaron Rodgers. The AL won the all-star game again. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer and Jerry discuss Brandon Aiyuk's trade request. Hour 2 Boomer is excited for Fanatics Fest next month. Evan & Tiki had Al on to defend themselves against Al's criticism of the afternoon show not asking Craig about his relationship with Suzyn. Evan's defense was that they were paying it as pro wrestling but Al did not buy it. Jerry says Suzyn is better than he is because Jerry would not be able to work with someone who ridiculed him the way Craig did to Suzyn. Tiger Woods was not happy with Colin Montgomerie's comment about Tiger retiring. CLo returns for an update but first Boomer tells us that he is interviewing famous author James Patterson today. He and Gio were also asked to be in a movie and Boomer tells us about that movie. It's about the Italian Football League. Boomer ran a football camp in Italy and his team almost beat the pro team they faced off against. CLo has audio on Davante Adams telling Shannon Sharpe that if he did change teams, it would be to play with Aaron Rodgers again.CLo has more sound from Hard Knocks when the Giants decided to let Saquon Barkley walk. Juan Soto walked against Paul Skenes to set up the Aaron Judge vs Skenes matchup and Judge grounded out on the first pitch. Pete Alonso spoke again about wanting to stay with the Mets. In the final segment of the hour, the guys wonder how much magic is left in the MLB All-Star Game. Hour 3 Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin joins us in-studio to discuss the idea behind Fanatics Fest. Rubin shares why he is so excited to launch the event and his hopes for what it can be. Rubin also comments on the MLB jersey controversy from the beginning of this season. The reaction to the new NHL jerseys has been much better. CLo returns for an update and begins with audio from Hard Knocks of the Giants learning how much money Xavier McKinney got in free agency. Jerry and CLo said that reminded them of fantasy football or playing a video game. The tease for next week's episode shows that Brian Daboll wanted to trade up for Jayden Daniels. In the final segment of the hour, Michael Rubin returns to tell us more about his beginnings and falling in love with sports. He also teases big announcements for Fanatics Fest and speaks about what he wants it to grow into. He also discusses how he loves being an underdog and the top-selling jerseys in each sport. Hour 4 Boomer and Jerry discuss their takeaways from talking to Michael Rubin and learning about both his story and vision. Boomer thinks that even more smoke has been added to the Davante Adams to the Jets rumors. Boomer dreams up some future football front offices and coaching staffs. CLo returns for his final update of the day and begins with Dianna Russini saying that Aaron Rodgers is not happy with how the Jets handled his absence from mini camp. Boomer confirms that report and says Robert Saleh could have avoided all of this by not saying the word “unexcused”. CLo found a clip of Mike Tomlin giving a motivational speech. We hear Tiger's response to Colin Montgomerie. The Moment of The Day involves a movie about Boomer's Italian football camp. In the final segment of the day, Jerry can't believe how much stress Joe Schoen was under in Hard Knocks. Then Jerry asks Boomer if the Aaron Rodgers situation will blow over. He says it immediately will. Boomer says the NFL did the Jets a favor with the schedule and granted their request to open on the road.

It seems to have been the talk of Royal Troon this week – is it time for Tiger Woods to retire? The 15-time major champion delivered a six-sentence zinger after reports that Colin Montgomerie had questioned whether he could still win. Woods says his belief has never wavered and in this episode of The NCG Golf Podcast, Steve Carroll and Matt Coles debate whether this is fantasy or could still be a reality. The duo also get stuck into shopping, ask whether the Open Arms should be the ‘Up in Arms' because of its drinks prices and Matt – who is on a glorious run of picking the winners of recent tournaments – tells you who is going to lift the Claret Jug on Sunday.
