Episode 204 hosts Melissa Isaia, co-founder of Juvae and the CNA (Cosmetic Nurses Association) & Nicole Schmid, Registered Nurse, co-founder of Juvae & the CNA. Melissa & Nicole created 'Juvae' back in 2008, an all in one solution for the training, business support and connecting of nurse injectors to clinics. At that time, the Australian injectable market was very immature. The chain clinics hadn't yet formed, social media was in it's infancy, hyalase wasn't a thing and in many ways, the aesthetic world was far simpler. In Chapter 7 of 'The Business of Injecting' episodes, we explore: Melissa and Nicole's backgrounds How and why they created Juvae Get insight into how Juvae assesses 'competency' amongst their injectors The dilemma with new student nurses specifically training to become injectors What the CNA is and why Melissa and Nicole helped found it What happens behind closed doors when bodies like the CNA meet with with the regulators, AHPRA The future of injecting and the how the market might evolve over the next few year in Australia Dr Jake & David thank their amazing IA Patrons for helping support the podcast. Kooks, Shaun and Thala come together to discuss a bumper weekend of domestic rugby. The boys first discuss the Stormers completing a sweep of victories against South African opponents in the United Rugby Championship this season, and the struggles the Sharks have without their Springboks. Can John Plumtree fix them? Next is Sanele Nohamba kicking the Lions to a shock victory over the Bulls. The Lions win amid controversy about their team environment and we wonder why the Bulls have flattered to deceive this season. We round up the other URC Round 15 games and look forward to some pivotal matches coming up in the last 3 rounds in the race for the playoffs. The lads then review the Super Weekend in Super Rugby Pacific where they debate Ardie Savea's throat slitting gesture and Kooks has some thoughts about Melbourne hosting the Super round. Then it's a quick look at the form of the overseas based flyhalves for the Springboks in Handre Pollard, Elton Jantjies and Rob du Preez. We finish with some predictions for Six Nations Week 4 and Thala predicting doom and gloom for Wales, Scotland and England. Our First Phase this week discussed which players will we never give up on with the likes of Johan Goosen, Pat Lambie and Wesley Fofana mentioned.
Guest: Sanele Nohamba, former SA Schools and Junior Boks scrumhalf
Sicelo Mbatha grew up in the remote South African region of Kwahlabisa, on the doorstep of a game reserve. Every day, he and his friends - including his best friend Sanele - would walk many miles to get to school and back. One day, on their way home, they approached their final river crossing and children started screaming - there was a crocodile. Tragically, Sicelo witnessed a brutal attack on Sanele that day. The experience traumatised him for years. But rather than turning away from nature, and being fearful of wildlife, he was drawn to it. He wanted to understand the behaviour of wild animals, so pursued his dream to become a wilderness guide. It was by being close to the often brutal world of animals that he would finally come to terms with what had happened, and find peace after grief. Hello, everyone, welcome to the International Institute of Digital Marketing podcast. My name is Sanele. Today we'll be talking about the future of work. So there's no doubt that the covid-19 pandemic has brought a major paradigm shift to the way we work. So while people across a multitude of industries have predicted a lot of job losses, let us not dismiss the light at the end of the tunnel of some of the new jobs that will emerge. So there are four main themes for the fourth industrial revolution, globalization, mobility and connectedness, resource scarcity, and the makeup of the human population. So what are the types of most in-demand skills for the future? So firstly, we have technological, social and emotional, and also high cognitive skills. So if we talk about actually how the economy is changing, so it's not the type of jobs or the work environment that is changing, but also how we work that will influence the future so employees and employers have a fiduciary duty to actually upscale themselves in this forced an ever-changing global world that we live in. And businesses also need to approach the need for upskilling. So as online education and school courses are becoming the norm across the globe, professionals are spoilt for choice and can gain in-demand skills in a matter of weeks. Thank you so much for listening to a podcast. And for more information, you can visit our website at www.thedgtslmarketinginstitute.org for more information. Thank you. In the news, there are blunders again and again by companies, failing some of the core aspects of modern marketing.

Sanele Cele is a fashion designer and entrepreneur who has always gone against the grain. His unique hustle has lead to him building a unique career where, along with creating his own highly sought-after label that all your favourite musicians wear, Tepracha, Sanele has worked with brands like New Balance & Markham, and exhibited at SA Fashion Week as well as countless other fashion events. Not bad for a creative kid from Umlazi who was told he'd never make it in fashion by members of his own family. I met Sanele in 2011 where we teamed up for a blogging competition of all things. It was for a street culture event in Jozi called STR.CRD where everyone had shoes that cost more than our phones. It was a surreal experience for us but one that laid the seeds for our friendship and also our careers. As you'll hear on the podcast, Sanele found ways to leverage the experience and has continued to build on every opportunity he gets. We reminisce over the early days of our careers and talk through some of the lessons we've learned since. We get into the importance of talking about money as creatives. We also look at some of the weaknesses of the fashion industry in Durban and what changes can be made to improve them. Enjoy. https://almostperfect.co.za/ep-40-sanele-cele/

Sanele Sibanda is a senior lecturer at the School of Law at Wits University in Johannesburg. He was born in Zimbabwe to a Zimbabwean father and a South African mother. His father was involved in the negotiations that led to Zimbabwe gaining independence in 1980. Sanele's areas of teaching include critical constitutionalism and indigenous law reform. We chatted about his student days at the University of Cape Town in the early 1990's, the role of a constitution and the rule of law in building a national identity, and how indigenous/customary law can be better incorporated into our mainstream legal system. The role of the constitution in the ongoing land reform debate in South Afrcia also came up in our conversation.

"Ubuntu and capitalism can live in one room but can never be friends" Sanele touched up on the syndrome of greed, which is evident in society now as people hang onto a belief that there is not enough for everyone, noting specifically to previously disadvantaged individuals who only see the new money for themselves instead of trying to benefit everyone as much as possible. Noxolo sees the solution to individualistic ideals by approaching capitalism with a mindset of abundance, and the only way to achieve that would be to target individuals to remember the richness of our land. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
