John Briggs is the founder of Incite Tax. His theme is, “The IRS Sucks”, and business owners should keep more of their money to build long-term wealth. John is a man on a mission to give entrepreneurs an actual work-life balance so they don't get burned out. He helps them increase their cash immediately so they can have confidence in their choices and become financially resilient. What problem do you solve? Today John will give us expert advice on cash flow management problems and he will share tax strategies. Show Notes: Cash flow is the lifeblood of our business. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the emergencies and urgencies of day-to-day business that we forget to address cash flow. One mistake is assuming that the IRS is right. While they have a lot of authority, the employees there may not be competent. Parkinson's law for cash flow would say that we will expand to spend all the cash available. We need to be careful not to fall into this trap. John recommends using the Profit First method. (See Gary's interview Ep: 061 Mike Michalowicz – Ascend Business Mastermind (goascend.biz) John equates taxes and the IRS to playing a board game. If you read the rules, there is likely something you can take advantage of to decrease your tax burden. The 4th quarter is an excellent time to plan tax strategies. Make sure your accountant isn't using the plug and chug method. — They just plug in your numbers and submit them to the IRS and chug along instead of being proactive to seek tax advantages for you. John works with clients all over the US. Paying yourself first is really important. John has a book coming out called The 3.3 Rule. John shares the importance of taking breaks to increase your productivity. John Briggs's Best Small Business Tip: Your best advice may be different than someone else. Be aware that you are at a different point in your business than what others are so just realize you need to work on what you need to work on. In this dating podcast for men, Gary Gunn outlines 13 of the best places to meet women. Crucially, all of the following are places where you can meet women when you are by yourself, so you don't have to rely on other people to accompany you. 1.Coffee shop - Dress nicely and frequent the same coffee shop and read or work on something. You'll get to know the staff and you'll find that people will come to speak to you. This outlook of not chasing, being centred in your life and allowing things to come to you is a fundamental principle covered on Gary's Social Attraction training courses. 2.Through friends - Actively work on your social circle and start conversations with people everywhere you meet. 3.Online dating – See Gary's bestselling book: An Education in Online Dating – this provides a step by step methodology that goes through how to get the best results online dating. Social Attraction also offers online dating makeovers for anyone who needs help with their pictures or profile. 4.Charity event - You'll meet likeminded empathetic people and have an instant connection with the women there. 5.Spiritual practise/meditation centre – Again meet likeminded people and gain an introduction to others. 6.The gym - Employ social and emotional intelligence and say hi to people that you recognise and get to know people gradually - All while working on your fitness goals. 7.Yoga - Book on to a class and build a social circle where you are not chasing. 8.Networking events - Many guys are attractive in ‘work mode' as you're feeling in your best state. 9.Walking a dog – Utilise an ap like ‘Borrow my doggy'. For those who love dogs you gain fresh air, you're staying in your centre and you'll find that women will come to you. 10.Speed dating - Whether this is online speed dating or in a physical location. You'll have confidence in knowing that the dates are lined up for you and you'll be meeting some new women this week. 11.Book store -For those who have a love of reading - go to the local book store or the coffee shop in the store – just being there conveys great things about you. 12.Art gallery - Educate yourself and gain an understanding of the arts - meet women in the vicinity and talk about the artwork with them. 13.A bar crawl or social setting – Attended by large groups of men and women that you can network with, and where the planning is taken out of your hands. Motivated by what he saw as one of the most tragic challenges of modern life—the disconnection of busy entrepreneurs from their families—Jim Sheils developed the Family Board Meeting process to help business owners bridge the gaps between themselves and their loved ones. Since then, both Jim’s message and his book, the Amazon best-seller “The Family Board Meeting,” have spread around the globe. Often called “Crazy Glue” for families, Jim’s popular and simple frameworks now reach thousands of parents worldwide, helping them feel more connected with their kids, be happier at home, and leave a lasting legacy. Jim is the founder of 18 Summers, which specializes in live events, workshops and private consulting for organizations looking to strengthen their family lives while still succeeding in business. He’s an in-demand public speaker and owns a private real estate company that has done more than $200 million in transactions. Jim is an avid surfer and enjoys traveling with family and friends, especially his beautiful wife Jamie and their four children, Alden, Leland, Magnolia, and Sampson. His greatest adventure to date? Donating a kidney to the best guy on the planet, his father.
