Uma semana a menos para terminar a Vuelta e o domínio da Jumbo-Vismo é cada vez mais avassalador, com os três primeiros na classificação geral, todos com vitórias em etapas e ainda viram Remco Evenepoel e João Almeida afundarem na classificação geral. Mas houve também tempo para a glória portuguesa nesta Vuelta, Rui Costa venceu a 15ª etapa da prova, voltando às vitórias em Grandes Voltas, algo que não acontecia desde 2013. É também um facto histórico para Portugal, pela primeira vez dois corredores diferentes vencem etapas em grandes Voltas no mesmo ano. A semana foi também marcante pelo adeus à competição da neerlandesa Annemiek Van Vleuten. A multicampeã neerlandesa encerrou uma carreira brilhante no Simac Ladies Tour.

Dominic ist leider krank und hat sich aber aufgerafft und 40min gekämpft. Dirk ist beeindruckt, dass Dominic trotzdem vorbereitet den Podcast eröffnet. Er hat sich mit Dan Buettner's Arbeit beschäftigt, der seit 20 Jahren die Langlebigkeit von Menschen erforscht. Warum werden Menschen in den sogenannten Bluezones so alt und warum weisen diese Gebiete die größte Anzahl an Menschen über 100 Jahren aus? Wir gehen die einzelnen Gemeinsamkeiten der Lebensweisen in diesen Bluezones durch und sind doch sehr überrascht, dass Ernährung eine Rolle spielt ;-). Es gibt aber noch weitere interessante Gemeinsamkeiten, die eigentlich jeder und jede adaptieren kann, um sein Leben zu verlängern. I'm really excited to be joined by one of my favourite female road riders and current European Champion, Lorena Wiebes.After starting out racing cyclocross, Lorena progressed to road and track racing as a Junior rider winning National and European titles in both disciplines.Lorena now focuses on road racing as well as taking part in a few cross races through the winter. With Team DSM, Lorena was the first ever wearer of the Yellow Jersey in The Tour de France Femme avec Zwift and was one of the most successful female road riders of 2022. De Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta werd verreden van 7 t/m 11 september. Een prachtige meerdaagse, ook wel de Ronde van Spanje voor vrouwen. Met een ploegentijdrit en 4 reguliere etappes waarin steeds finales met vuurwerk was te zien! Roxane is weer ouderwets terug nadat ze de vorige nabeschouwing over de Simac Ladies Tour niet kon doen vanwege Italiaanse avonturen. En ook nu hebben we last-minute weer een toffe gast weten te strikken die even te gast wilde zijn in onze show: Nina Buijsman van Team Human Powerd Health! Een van de smaakmaaksters van de laatste etappes op het zware lokale rondje in Madrid. Waar Vera in 2016 haar allerlaatste internationale koers reed en op 19” op Jolien d'Hoore op de 39e plaats finishte na een aanvallende koers. In deze editie reed Nina uit Bovenkarspel lang in de aanval met 3 medevluchters. Toepasselijk want Nina is al heel lang het plaatsgenootje van Vera in gemeente Stede Broec.Over de koers.De Challenge by La Vuelta is sinds 2015 een Women's World Tour wedstrijd. Waar Vera hem dus in 2016 reed, deed Roxane in 2017 en 2018 mee. Wat vonden Vera en Roxane van deze etappekoers? En van de kalender in het vrouwenwielrennen? De etappes worden allemaal doorgenomen met als uiteindelijke conclusie dat er geen maat stond op Annemiek van Vleuten die vooral in de hele zware 2e etappe van buitencategorie was en daarna ogenschijnlijk makkelijk het rood kon ophalen in Madrid. De Simac Ladies Tour werd verreden van 30 aug t/m 04 september. En deze nabeschouwing is een andere ‘Vera en Roxane Zien Af!' dan jullie gewend zijn! Roxane was namelijk niet in de gelegenheid om de Simac Ladies Tour te kijken en ook niet om deze nabeschouwing op te nemen. Dus moest Vera op zoek naar vervanging. Op de laatste dag, wat meteen ook de verjaardag was van ons andere Koerage CC en Koerage podcast lid Richard, ging Vera met drie geweldige gasten in gesprek!
