I have attached a few photos. The Irish festival was held on the site of an old steel mill in Rankin, Pa, just outside of Pittsburgh. In one photo, Sue Borowski's group, RichPatrick, can be seen performing at the Ligonier Highland Games. On Labor Day weekend, Sue and I were interviewed on the radio! What can you do to help someone receiving a transplant?Phyllis Renfrow is the executive director of Amy's House. Amy's House is a Medical Lodging Facility in Temple Texas, just minutes away from Baylor Scott and White Health Center. Transplant recipients are able to stay at Amy's House free of charge.Phyllis graduated from the University of Central Texas with a graduate degree in Counseling in December of 1997. She has served in many roles over the course of her career to include 17 years as a director at Baylor Scott and White Health, but it was an accident over a July 4th weekend in 2013 that actually led her to discover her passion for the transplant world and the people on both sides of that process. She lost her 13-year-old granddaughter, Monika, in a car accident when a distracted driver ran up on her daughter's vehicle as they were sitting stopped in traffic. Temple Texas wrestler and linebacker and two-time All-District MVP Taurean York signed with Baylor, which ended the season with a 21-7 Sugar Bowl victory over Mississippi. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity. Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation. Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires. Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body. Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath. Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness. Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work. Temple Texas 28 year old Michael Dean was shot and killed by a Temple Police Officer on the traffic stop. He was unarmed. He was the father of three girls. Michael Dean died on one of his daughters 6th birthday. Kansas City Missouri 26 year old Cameron Lamb was in his backyard of his house working on his car when he was shot and killed by the Kansas City Police Detective. The KCPD admitted that it was a mistaken identity. They were 60 cops around his neighborhood looking for someone but they killed the wrong man. He survived by three of his nephews and his parents along with his sister. The Rev. Justin Yawn, Christ Episcopal Church, Temple TX

In this episode, we visit with Dr. Rick Haney with the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Temple, Texas. Dr. Haney discusses his work with soil testing, the role microbial activity plays in the soil and the improtance of soil health.

Julian Avent owns Werks 11, a Porsche service shop in Temple, Texas. There he does OEM restorations and mechanical servicing with his team who are all Porsche specialists. He served in the Army for 20 years and all that while Julian knew he would open his own Porsche shop when he retired from the service. While he was in the Army he apprenticed in two Porsche shops, one in Belgium and the other in the Netherlands. He purchased his first Porsche, a 914, when he was just 16 years old and cut his mechanical teeth doing all the repairs and service on that car. Since then he’s owned over 30 Porsches ranging from 356s to 997s and he’s worked on the marque for more than 25 years now.
