Survivor 51 Cast Preview Part 1 Watch the podcast on YouTube! Survivor 51 is on the horizon, and Rob Cesternino and Mike Bloom are here to talk about the cast! Rob and Mike pull back the curtain on a cast shrouded in mystery and “permanent uncertainty.” Rob and Mike comb through every available detail about the first seven contestants, uncovering hidden stories, professional secrets, and potential game-changing personalities. With no pre-game interviews allowed this season, the duo relies on cast bios, social media clues, and fan-sourced tidbits to piece together what's in store for the dramatic two-hour premiere, titled “As the Crow Flies.” This preview episode dives deep into the castaways' backgrounds—highlighting a chef with a past in the Patriots' kitchen, a criminal defense attorney hiding her true profession, a My Little Pony voice actress, a pro wrestler with NXT ties, a livestock farmer channeling classic JT, a director of HR with a Survivor legacy in his family, and an actor from Grey's Anatomy and Queer as Folk. Rob and Mike speculate on the big twists teased for opening night, including an odd 21-person starting mat, the promise of “permanent uncertainty,” and the immediate impact of a mysterious journey and a dramatic first Tribal Council pitting allies head to head. The cast's eclectic mix brings comparisons to iconic players and sets the stage for unpredictable alliances, challenge prowess, and plenty of conflict—both culinary and strategic. Key discussion points from Rob and Mike include: – Aaliyah's high-energy, talkative style and her history as a chef for the New England Patriots – Alexis's secret lawyer strategy and her candid approach to exploiting emotional game moments – Ana's animated career, including her time as Strawberry Shortcake and a cameo on The Boys – Brady's pro wrestling background, wild early life stories, and alliance plans with opposites – Carter's old-school farmer work ethic and JT-like potential – Cristian's alternate origin, HR expertise, and ties to Survivor history – Devin's “no lies, no backstabs” philosophy and his knack for creative gameplay Is Survivor's open era about to rewrite the rules, or will day one twists send castaways scrambling? Rob and Mike tease how food, authority, and first impressions could shape the season from the start. Don't miss this jam-packed Survivor 51 preview as Rob and Mike break down cast secrets and speculate on who might thrive—or stumble—once the game begins! For this episode on "As the Crow Flies," by Mel Gillman, Jam, Jeff, and JD are joined by Ryan Estrada. We talk about one of Ryan's favourite banned books. Is this a thoughtful story of alienation, doubt, microaggressions, and faith? Or is it, as one book banner summed it up, just “gender chaos?” We'll talk about the power of traditional media (by which I mean pencil crayons), libraries, and how not to be uncomfortable in nature. Music by Sleuth. Our next episode will be on "O Human Star" by Blue Delliquanti.

The Kickstarter campaign ends on Nov 20, 2023. Celtic Christmas Music podcast has its first episode out. Another one comes this weekend. Would you like lots more Celtic Christmas music? Subscribe and listen. THANK YOU PATRONS OF THE PODCAST! You are amazing. It is because of your generosity that you get to hear so much great Celtic music each and every week. Your kindness pays for our engineer, graphic designer, Celtic Music Magazine editor, promotion of the podcast, and allows me to buy the music I play here. It also pays for my time creating the show each and every week. As a patron, you get music - only episodes before regular listeners, vote in the Celtic Top 20, stand - alone stories, and you get a private feed to listen to the show. All that for as little as $1 per episode. A special thanks to our Celtic Legends Patrons of the Podcast: Bill Mandeville, Marti Meyers, Brenda, Karen, Emma Bartholomew, Dan mcDade, Bob Harford, Carol Baril, Miranda Nelson, Nancie Barnett, Kevin Long, Gary R Hook, Lynda MacNeil, Kelly Garrod, Annie Lorkowski, Shawn Cali HERE IS YOUR THREE STEP PLAN TO SUPPORT THE PODCAST Go to our Patreon page. TRAVEL WITH CELTIC INVASION VACATIONS Every year, I take a small group of Celtic music fans on the relaxing adventure of a lifetime. We don't see everything. Instead, we stay in one area. We get to know the region through its culture, history, and legends. You can join us with an auditory and visual adventure through podcasts and videos. Learn more about the invasion at http://celticinvasion.com/ #celticmusic #irishmusic #celticmusicpodcast I WANT YOUR FEEDBACK What are you doing today while listening to the podcast? Please email me. I'd love to see a picture of what you're doing while listening or of a band that you saw recently. Email me at celticpodcast@gmail. Dan McClain emailed a photo while Listening to Black Tower #635 on a Northbound Train: "Hello, Today I'm listening to episode #635 while I travel on AmTrak's Texas Eagle from Taylor TX to Bloomington IL. Attached picture is the train station at Temple TX. Thank you for all you do to celebrate and promote Celtic music." Patrick Rieger emailed some photos: "Hi Marc, I wanted to thank you for choosing my message from a few months back to read on the air and share the photo in the show notes in episode 615 of the Irish and Celtic Music Podcast. You are very right, it is wonderful to be more involved in the community and help spread the fun and the joy of Celtic music and other aspects of the culture. And to think it all started 17 years ago when a friend told me about something called renaissance festivals. Celtic Pittsburgh is growing. My wife and son have joined in, as well as a friend. We had tables at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival, and the Ligonier Highland Games. Thanks to those events we have many more subscribers on our Facebook page, and I have learned about other events and other musicians and bands I had not heard of before. I have attached a few photos. The Irish festival was held on the site of an old steel mill in Rankin, Pa, just outside of Pittsburgh. In one photo, Sue Borowski's group, RichPatrick, can be seen performing at the Ligonier Highland Games. On Labor Day weekend, Sue and I were interviewed on the radio! It was an "I can't believe I am doing this" moment. If you care to have a listen, here is the link. Again, thank you! Woodland Folk sent some photos in September
