(Winner, Best Title Ever) Episode 14, Retrograde Minds, Cazimi Hearts, Can’t Lose (Winner, Most Love for “Friday Night Lights”) Episode 21, Cardinal, Fixed, & Mutable: Signs a la Mod-alities (Winner, Loveliest Teachable Moment) Episode 22, Taurus New Moon and Venus Gone Wild (Winner, Sweetest Moment with Parental Cameo) And here’s the link to read Jen's essay, "Scorpio Full Moon: Life Lessons on Letting Go" – her personal journey with her injury. . 07:18 – If you enjoy the podcast, April & Jen have a request: Please take one second and give the podcast a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts (or wherever you listen). Bonus points if you leave a positive review! It helps others find the show. Thanks! . 08:28 – Welcome airy, adaptable, communicative Gemini season! The Sun strolls into the sign of the Twins on May 20 and joins Mercury, Venus, the North Node – and soon, the Moon as well. . 10:47 – The Sun connects with Saturn in Aquarius on the May 22. The Sabian symbol for 2 Gemini is “Santa Claus Filling Stockings Furtively.” Good things coming our way? Learn how April views this symbol – it’s her descendant degree! . 12:35 – Venus squares Neptune for the second time on May 20: an opportunity to take a fresh approach to how we relate to our closest peeps. (To revisit Venus’s first square, go to Episode 23, Talkin’ Taurus and the Void (Of Course!) Moon. To hear even more about Venus, listen to episodes 21 & 22 – see above for the link.) . 15:11 – ** Moonwatch**! The New Moon (May 22) is at 2°04’ Gemini. It’s on one of Sabian symbol expert Lynda Hill’s favorites, “The Garden of the Tuileries,” referencing the fascinating Parisian garden and park. This is about beauty and leisure, or maybe literally getting a garden going. (Should the Kents persist with their home composting project, or simply move to Minneapolis, where their compost would be picked up at home?) The New Moon offers a nice combo of flow and conflict, with squares for character and grit, and trines to help us build something dear to our hearts. . 23:30 – Mercury and Venus are united, and together they square Neptune in the New Moon chart. Mercury brings a realization or awareness of something related to the ongoing Venus/Neptune square. And remember: the birth chart shows everything possible, so don’t pigeonhole someone because of any one aspect. Lecture over. As you were. . 26:33 – Hey, where’s the fire? There’s none in the sky, but keep a close eye on the stove… and keep your fire extinguishers close! And freebie: Don’t forget to subscribe to the Big Sky mailing list – your free monthly workbook shows you where the Moon is every day! . 31:10 – We are two weeks away from the June 5 eclipse at 15 Sagittarius! If you have any planets or points between 11-19 of mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces), this is an important eclipse for you. This eclipse will mark the beginning of a series of eclipses falling in Gemini/Sag over the next year and a half, with a focus on what you know and what you need to learn. Revisit Episode 24, Scorpio Full Moon & Lunar Nodes for Grasshoppers to brush up. And make sure to grab your personalized copy of Followed by a Moonshadow eclipse report, which will outline what is going on for you. Yes, you! . 35:17 – Action-oriented Mars in gentle, kind Pisces makes an opportunity aspect to unpredictable Uranus in earthy Taurus (May 24). Uranus is on the Sabian symbol “A Christmas tree.” It’s a good time to help people or causes that are important to you, and perhaps an unexpected gift will land at your feet. (For a review on this aspect, head on over to Episode 16, Let's Talk About Sextiles.) . 38:36 – And… it’s official! April and Jen are 26 episodes in! We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when we started… podcast archaeology, that’s all it is, friends, and we’re digging it!

Reviewer name: cb_abq Country: USA Date: January 13, 2016 Rating: Comment: Well done gentlemen! That is the most information delivered about microcontroller and embedded Linux systems related to ham radio, and other applications, that I have heard in any podcast, ever. This is great information to enable anyone, whether an EE, or just an interested consumer to build a project based on either of these closely related technologies. KJ6VU and KF7IJZ are really well informed and articulate on all things ham. Fantastic!
Some of the best conversations happen when you least expect them – after that important meeting has finished, before the official interview starts, in the cafeteria over lunch or coffee. Jonathan and Ruth noticed it was the same with the AlignIT broadcast. So for the last few months they decided to keep the cameras rolling after the live broadcast was finished and here is the result – some very relaxed, very passionate, very real conversations with their expert guests.Hosts Ruth Morton and Jonathan Rozenblit review some of the conversations they've had with their guests "off the air" and unplugged, so to speak.ResourcesDownload evaluation software from the Evaluation Center Learn more about Microsoft Public Cloud solutions Learn more about the Microsoft Private Cloud platform For anything and everything development, always start with MSDN. There's no denying that virtualization has transformed our datacentres and redefined how we do IT, giving us more capacity and savings. Now, private cloud capabilities take us one step further providing the agility IT needs to truly provide IT as a service. The beauty of a private cloud is that it takes characteristics of a public cloud (resource pooling, elasticity, self-service, and pay per use) and combines those characteristics with management and security built on dedicated resources to provide services to a select group. With any big change to your IT infrastructure comes risk, but of course you're hoping that the rewards will out weigh those risks. In fact, you're doing more than just hoping – you're planning, strategizing, and putting your organization in a good position to mitigate those risks.Deploying a new operating system throughout a company can be disruptive and complex because so much is dependant on that OS – the applications running on top of the OS, the drivers that allow peripherals like printers to work, to name but a few. If all goes well, the operating system should be invisible to the end user but if all doesn't go well...well, we've all been there. It sucks.A good plan that's well executed can result in an organization having use of technology that can help achieve higher productivity, better collaboration and more opportunities for innovative ideas. This episode of Manager Tech Talk is all about putting together a good plan for Windows deployment success.Ruth Morton and Jonathan Rozenblit and guest Dave Kawula, Senior Consultant with 1E, talk about the benefits and challenges of deploying Windows 7. They explore what tools are available and what "gotcha's" to watch out for. Plus: Ruth, Jonathan, and Dave share tales from deployments past.Featured Guest: Dave KawulaDave Kawula is an MCSE and CNE with over fifteen years of experience in the IT industry. His background includes data communications networks within multi-server LAN/WAN environments. He has experience with project management, network strategic planning, network design and integration. It's a bit of a Catch-22 – deploying a new operating system can be an expensive proposition, but not using up to date technology can cost a business worker productivity, recruitment of top talent, and integration with customers and partners. For development shops, making sure your application runs on the latest platform contributes to the longevity of a useful product. It's exhausting trying to keep up but not to do so can mean obsolesce. The question is, are there things you can do today to make things easier tomorrow? Coming hot on the heels of the BUILD conference and the release of the developer preview of Windows 8, Ruth Morton and Jonathan Rozenblit talk with David Remmer, Depth Evangelism Manager at Microsoft Canada and former Architect Evangelist about what you need to do to get your applications and infrastructure ready today to take advantage of tomorrow's advances.Featured Guest: David RemmerAn industry veteran and former Senior Architect Advisor, David Remmer now heads up the Depth Evanglism Team for Microsoft Canada. By now, you've heard the term "Cloud", but what does it actually mean to your developers and architects, your IT staff, and your organization. For developers and architects, the Cloud is a flexible and familiar environment to easily create and host applications that can have nearly infinite scale. For IT staff, the Cloud means on-demand computing with the right infrastructure to host, scale, and manage all your services with ease and speed. For your organization, it means being always available and being global while cutting down on maintenance and operational overhead costs by paying for a service. But at the end of the day, what does that all mean? How do you transition from the way things are today to a Cloud model? In this episode of AlignIT Manager Tech Talk, Ruth Morton and Jonathan Rozenblit sit down with Joel Varty, Director of Research and Development at Agility CMS in Toronto, Ontario, and talk about moving to the Cloud. The discussion focuses around the business problems Windows Azure can solve, the opportunities that can arise, and what it takes to transition developers, architects, and IT staff from traditional application development to the Cloud. Joel shares how he worked with his team to get up to speed on Cloud development and their strategy for moving applications to the Cloud.ResourcesCloud Optimization - Expanding Capabilities, while Aligning Computing and Business NeedsFor many applications, the cloud is an ideal solution.
