Speaking of Travel continues the LEAF Global Arts Series with Melissa McKinney, International Blues Star, LEAF teaching artist, and member of the popular band, Mama and the Ruckus, and Lucho Serapio of Asheville Multicultural. Melissa curated the artist lineup for the Black Mountain Blues inaugural festival taking place in downtown Black Mountain, NC, with hundreds of musicians and true Blues music. Black Mountain Blues Festival is a collaborative event between LEAF Global Arts and White Horse Black Mountain, two non-profit organizations dedicated to connecting communities through music and culture-keeping initiatives. Melissa shares how the festival unfolded and the excitement in launching a new festival. This week's episode kicks off with Tamara opening her present of a harmonic. She does try a couple of notes, but is excited to learn more. Rheannon did some research to try and set Tamara up for success. Tamara is shocked to learn Rheannon played not one but three instruments growing up. Rheannon shares that the family fought a stomach bug and lost. It made for a rough first Christmas for the baby. Tamara has some movie recommendations, but Rheannon isn't sure about them. Rheannon did get a phone call from Tamara about how to open a sander. Although the build went smoothly and Tamara had fun working on a craft project. Rheannon had a great first ski weekend of the season. It surprising did not go nearly as downhill fast as it could have!

The brilliant singer-songwriter, David Pomeranz, has achieved success in virtually every entertainment medium.
