How to Get Along With Everyone – The Secret Revealed (Part 2) Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, and Metal are the five elemental personality types, as Dr. Vicki Matthews explains in this video. She speaks with health seeker Adiel Gorel about why social connection is fundamental to human existence. She also explains how we can learn how to get along with everyone by understanding the five elements model. Key Insights: Adiel speaks about how solitary confinement is the worst possible punishment. This can be worse than the dangers of gang violence from other jail inmates. Dr. Vicki Matthews points out how socialization, while vital for humans, is important to varying degrees depending upon each person's elemental personality type. A Water person may enjoy alone time, while a Fire person enjoys more social interaction. Clashes between personality types can be managed by understanding this difference. This is the science behind a happy relationship. Social interaction is vitally important not just for our well-being but for survival itself. Humans evolved and prospered because they were able to form tribes and cooperate. Dr. Vicki Matthews explains how she helps people discover their elemental personality so they can learn how to get along with everyone. This happens by working on their relationship dynamics with their partner, kids, colleagues, etc. Author, Investment Expert, and Wellness Advocate Adiel Gorel isn't just an expert in his chosen fields but also a storyteller who makes complex issues easily accessible. Tune in to his show, where he addresses diverse issues with a single aim to improve quality of life. Have questions? How to Get Along With Everyone – The Secret Revealed (Part 1) Dr. Vicki Matthews is committed to teaching people how to get along with everyone. A naturopath committed to natural healing, a relationship coach, writer, and speaker, she has also been on the Oprah Show. She speaks to health seeker Adiel Gorel about the five elemental personality types in Chinese medicine and how this impacts our relationships. Key Insights: Dr. Vicki Matthews helps people discover their elemental personality and then coaches them to discover what works for their personality, what does not, and how to fix it. All people have an elemental personality according to Chinese medicine: Fire, Water, Earth, Wood or Metal. Each person has one or more dominant elements in their nature. This is the basis of the science behind a happy relationship. We can figure out what type of personality we and others around us are. This helps us deal with the differences and build on the commonalities, says Dr. Vicki Matthews. She counsels couples and teaches them how to have a healthy, happy relationship, sometimes feeling like a referee in the process. She also coaches people on how to get along with everyone by improving relationships with kids, co-workers, and others. Dr. Matthews and Adiel discuss how COVID-19 impacted relationships when people were forced into close proximity for long periods. They also speak about how social connection is vital for humans. Does the color of clothing you wear affect the arguments you have with your significant other? Can seasons help you to be on the same page as your best friends? Honestly, I'm not so sure. But my guest is an expert in Chinese Medicine which breaks personalities into five core energy types based on elements of nature. My guest today is Dr. Vicki Matthews. Vicki has been a Naturopathic Physician and Relationship Coach for over 20 years now. Her passion stems from wanting to help society become less conflicted: reducing lawsuits, divorces, and disagreements. After some psychological research, she found that people tend to fall in line with the elements of the Five Elements Model from Chinese Medicine. It can be pretty easy to get lost in some of the softer science of this topic and its impact on your relationships. But if you enjoy Meyers-Briggs, Astrology, or any of the other alternative practices out there: you're probably going to love this one. And listen, if it's totally not your thing: that's okay too. The next episode is going to be a much more data driven episode on relationships and the reasons they fail, so come back around for that just in time for engagement season!
