I'm Josh Cooperman and this is Convo By Design. Technically its Convo By Design, in reality, this is another episode of Kyle Bunting & Friends…. If you heard this last week and you think it's a repeat, it's not. Keep listening.A few months ago, you heard an episode of Convo By Design featuring Fern Santini, Lauren Rottet and Jan Showers. That episode included and was orchestrated by Kyle Bunting. Kyle and I have gotten to know each other a little bit since he was on the show and we were talking one day and this idea just came up, got legs, sprouted wings and before I knew what happened, Kyle offered to put this all-star panel together for an episode to be featured on the CXD spinoff, Lone Star House of Design. It sounds kind of complicated, it's really not. You can check all of the previous podcast episodes on your podcast source of choice and find everything previously referenced. Back to the story. While Kyle and I were talking after the episode with Lauren, Jan and Fern aired, I mentioned his collar with another CXD alum, Timothy Corrigan and Kyle was like… “I have an idea.” What is about to follow, in 2 episodes because it could not be packaged into one, is an incredible 2-part conversation about European rugs, collaborations, artistry in hide and a history of rug making. This is part two of our conversation. This expands on what you've heard previously and showcases the history and significance of each piece referenced in the Chateau Collection. Everything from Aubusson to Savonnerie. You are going to hear about the origins of the Polonaise, delicate detail of the Boule as well as custom creations like the Empire and Moderne. This is a deep dive into color ways, replacing metallic silks with Hyde to produce a finished product that has the glimmer of polished steel. Coloring that breathes depth into the pattern. So, this Kyle Bunting & Friends concept is pretty cool and I think you're going to dig it. Speaking of that…Are you subscribing to the podcast, if not, please do so you get every episode automatically when they are published. And, thank you for listening and subscribing to the podcast. Keep those emails coming convo by design at Outlook dot com. Adding the word “pleasure” to our architectural aspirations will make life better for all who choose to embrace this idea. See if you can add this word to what you do every day and see what happens. Kyle Inserra is both a commercial real estate advisor and a media mogul. To become the latter, he had to risk the former. “Everyone's coming from this fear mindset that you're giving away too much,” Kyle Inserra explained about sharing information on the Digital Hospitality podcast. “They don't want to say anything. "The ability to connect with folks digitally and give out information has been a huge thing for me.” Huge indeed, and even more so — different. Yes, most people in Kyle’s buttoned up, bottom line-oriented industry are not into giving out secret ‘code’ – especially not on social media. https://youtu.be/L_-0nGRr0B4   Kyle Inserra on Digital Hospitality Podcast: Kyle Inserra is a Restaurant Growth Strategist and Commercial Real Estate Advisor who is also host of The National Restaurant Owners Podcast. The entrepreneur was a guest on Digital Hospitality, where he discussed publishing content online, digital marketing, the changing real estate and restaurants industries, and leading with truth, numbers, and goals. Visit https://taplink.cc/kyleinserra to learn more about Kyle Inserra. While Kyle's competitors are keeping intel close to their chest and operating on the old guard, Kyle is creating content on Tik Tok as an effort to empower the next generation of restaurant owners looking to understand both sides of the business. “I focus on giving it all away to the point where I have these crazy notebooks of little ideas that I get because there's so many little things that come to mind,” shares Kyle on his approach to teaching on Tik Tok and other social platforms. “You want to share with folks who are really good at running a restaurant but make bad real estate decisions or bad partnership decisions.” This is because as a commercial real estate advisor, Kyle views restaurant owners as his partners, not his tenants. He realizes by revealing the ins and outs of what he does in real estate that it allows future clients to better establish their footing so both sides can succeed. For better or for worse, not everyone in his industry is catching up to speed. “With all due respect to my fellow brokers out there: you make my job easier when you don't do it,” laughs Kyle. “I can shoot you a link to my YouTube video or a site tour or a market update. I'm at a distinct advantage.” Over the course of the pandemic, Kyle’s content creating approach has challenged conventional thinking in his industry and offered him his own lane. As restaurants re-open and new owners and operators want to rent vacant space, Kyle believes it’s important for each side of the equation to let their guard down and be open. “Whatever your concept is, my advice to you is be completely transparent with the landlord,” says Kyle. “Starting with, ‘Here's what I do and I only need this much space. Can you do it yes or no?’ And to be honest, be aggressive with the rent.” Transparency is a two-way street. By Kyle leading with his truth, numbers and goals, his potential partners are more likely to do the same thing so that both parties can prosper. “Historically, restaurant owners don’t like to share their books,” Kyle notes. “They didn't need to. But it's in your best interest right now to show them.” While Kyle isn’t sharing books and bottom lines on his numerous social platforms, he is sharing his life and lessons at an impressive clip. For many professionals navigating the internet, drawing the line between business and play can be cumbersome. For Kyle, there’s no line. “At the end of the day you're building a business and a life,” says Kyle. “And my content is so intertwined. I'm excited to see what it looks like in twenty years.” In 2021, it’s looking good for Kyle.   Posting and Connecting Online: Just recently, his open approach to posting his personal life led to a lead in his professional endeavors. “I've gotten a lead off of a picture with my French bulldog,

Students serving in contextual learning in a variety of placements including in churches, nonprofits, agencies, and in hospitals as clinical pastoral care interns nurtures growth both in their vocational discernment and in their spiritual lives. In this first episode of the series, “Growing in Your Call,” Evelyn speaks with senior residential M.Div. students Kari Martin and Kyle MacDonald. Each has had a range of experiences with field education and weaves together how the placements they served in grew them in unexpected ways. Kari grew up part of a non-denominational church in Virginia and pursued placements at Duke where she could be formed in church settings affiliated with both the United Methodist Church and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. While Kyle, came to Duke from Kentucky with tons of music ministry experience and grew his idea of what kinds of ministry God might be calling him into. Kyle, who manages the recently launched Fidelity U.S. Growth Opportunities Class, shares his investment philosophy and what he looks for when investing in companies. Kyle calls this one of the most volatile years he’s ever experienced, but notes that Fidelity U.S. Growth Opportunities Class is always positioned to add to opportunities if they should arise. March and April offered a great example of the Class in action: there were so many forced sellers in the market that it was a great opportunity to add to Kyle’s favourite names at prices that were extremely low – as much as 50–70% cheaper than they were in January. While Kyle finds the search for breakthrough growth stocks the most exciting, because of their potential to generate high returns, he won’t take his eyes off mega-cap stocks. They remain the most important names in the index and in his portfolio.  Recorded on September 16, 2020.

On this new episode of Microtechno Podcast we feature the Toronto based DJ, producer and label owner of Savvy Records, Kyle Yip aka Discrete. He is known not only for his Juno Award Nominated full-length album, but also his remixes for international artists such as Brabe, Society of Silence and many more. An affinity for the commingling and contrasting sounds and playful experimentation inspired the birth of Savvy Records, a platform he created to fill a distinct niche for the music he loves. Since the labels conception in 2010, it has released singles and albums from such notable artists as Bram Faber, Der Amethyst, Donk Boys, Frankie, Paradroid, Phil Denton, René van Munster, S.O.S., Thomas Gwosdz, Thore Pfieffer, Xavier León, as well as his own productions. His label also hosts the Savvy Records Podcast, an excellent resource for discovering new and dynamic music for newcomers and the more seasoned electronica listeners alike. Following a strong library of solo releases, 'The Midas Touch' is Kyle's first full-length solo album. Kyle Intertwined his love for jazz, disco and soul with a deep-house and techno tinged sensibility. This medley of inspirations were crucial to constructing a sound that is not only exuberant and enigmatic, but also nostalgic and thoughtful. This rare fusion has garnered Kyle a nomination for 'Best Electronic Album of the Year' at the 2016 Canadian Juno Awards in Calgary. While Kyle is an active presence in Toronto's nightlife, often throwing parties for his Savvy Records label, he is equally involved with an international community of producers and musicians. His accolades from distinguished artists such as DJ Sneak, Mark E, Mousse T and Pezzner can attest to this as well as his releases on labels such as Defected Records and Get Physical Music. The future holds promise for Kyle and Savvy Records. While eagerly awaiting a handful of upcoming releases for Savvy Records on the horizon — including a remix EP for 'Always No' from 'The Midas Touch' — he is also perfecting his next Discrete album, the sophomore follow up to 'The Midas Touch' LP. Amidst the sound and the fury, Kyle maintains a strong vision, with sights fixed upon a sound that can breathe beauty, communion and transcendence into us all. Kyle and Andy wax a bit philosophical as they try to define what a commander staple is and what is a card that's just too good to pass up. As they flesh out what they feel a staple is, they start to explore popular cards in each color. They discuss why those cards may or may not be staples and some deck types where they can be good to have. This episode may be helpful for players that are newer to the commander format. While Kyle and Andy don't necessarily give all the cards' stat lines, they do go over many cards that are popular in the format and their discussion may help you better understand some cards that would be good to add to your collection.
