Today, Nicole tackles one of the most important, but often intimidating, questions in personal finance: should I have a financial planner? If the answer is “yes” (and lets be honest, it probably is!), that sets off a domino effect of other questions: When I'm looking for a financial planner, what questions should I ask? Do I have to be rich to get started? What can a financial planner actually do to help me? To answer all of those questions and more, Nicole is joined by Adriana Adams, Head of Financial Planning at Domain Money, to cut through the noise and deliver the straight talk on how to find the right financial planner, and what to expect once you do. But Nicole and Adrianna don't just tell you what a financial planner can help with— they show you. Nicole asks Adrianna for insight on her #1 financial goal: how to set her daughter up for success. They talk custodial brokerages, the new Trump Accounts, trusts, and yes—even how to legally put your baby on payroll. This conversation got so good, Nicole's husband jumped in to get all the useful details! To have your own free conversation with Adrianna or the other financial planners at Domain Money, start here. Wayne Courreges III is the Founder and Managing Principal of CREI Partners, a real estate investment firm with over $50 million in assets under management across Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama. He helps busy entrepreneurs and professionals build generational wealth through passive investments in commercial real estate syndications. A former US Marine Corps Corporal, Wayne has over 16 years of experience in commercial real estate, including a lengthy tenure at CBRE. In this episode… For many, the leap from single-family rentals to multifamily syndications feels daunting — filled with questions about risk, returns, and how to find the right partners. But what if the key lies not just in the asset itself, but in the strategy and relationships behind it? According to Wayne Courreges III, a seasoned commercial real estate investor, the answer starts with focusing on scalable, well-managed multifamily assets that generate consistent cash flow and long-term appreciation. He highlights the importance of evaluating both the deal and the people running it, ensuring that trust, transparency, and operational excellence are in place before investing. This disciplined approach, he explains, can provide higher returns, greater diversification, and fewer headaches than managing scattered single-family properties. Wayne also emphasizes the role of off-market opportunities, strong asset management, and proactive investor relations in sustaining performance and maximizing value. In this episode of The Same Day Podcast, host Mat Zalk sits down with Wayne Courreges III, Founder and Managing Principal of CREI Partners, to discuss building generational wealth through multifamily syndications. They explore why multifamily can outperform single-family investments, how to vet general partners before committing capital, and the benefits of off-market deal sourcing. Wayne also shares strategies for creating exceptional investor experiences.

Transitioning from employee to entrepreneur is challenging for anyone, but military veterans face unique hurdles despite possessing extraordinary skills for business ownership. In this eye-opening conversation, Zach Miller reveals how his company is changing the game for veterans seeking financial independence.Growing up as the child of two Marines shaped Zach's disciplined approach to life, carrying him through careers in sports, music, advertising, and eventually high-powered digital sales roles where he helped orchestrate multiple company exits worth hundreds of millions. When COVID hit, his innovative digital platform saved $105 million in collegiate sports sponsorships, cementing his reputation as someone who thrives under pressure and creates solutions where others see only problems. What's truly fascinating is how Zach connects his personal journey to his mission at Patriot Growth Capital. Rather than leaving veterans to start businesses from scratch, PGC acquires established, profitable companies and creates a structured pathway for veterans to learn, operate, and ultimately own these businesses. Their "Practical MBA" approach pays veterans a six-figure salary while teaching them every aspect of running a successful operation over a five-year period. The statistics Zach shares are striking: only 5% of America's 6.2 million small businesses are veteran-owned, yet these companies employ over 7 million Americans. By increasing veteran business ownership, PGC isn't just changing individual lives—they're potentially creating an economic engine that benefits communities nationwide.Whether you're a business owner considering your exit strategy, an investor looking for purpose alongside profits, or someone fascinated by innovative business models that create multiple winners, this conversation offers valuable insights into how entrepreneurship can be structured to maximize success while serving those who've served our country. The markets are moving like a rollercoaster, driven by tweets and geopolitical tensions that shift from World War III fears to peaceful resolutions within weeks. Headlines change faster than investment strategies can adapt, leaving many wondering whether anything has fundamentally changed or if it's all just noise. In this episode, Hans welcomes back Joe Withrow, founder of the Phoenician League, to discuss how to maintain a long-term investment strategy amid short-term chaos. Their conversation cuts through the daily market drama to examine what matters for building lasting wealth. The discussion reveals why the fundamentals haven't changed despite daily headlines, and how tools like Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) can serve as the foundation for building generational wealth that transcends market volatility and creates financial freedom for future generations.Check out Joe's work at https://joewithrow.com/, or visit https://phoenicianleague.com/ to learn more about the Phoencician League. The Two-Tiered Investment Approach: A philosophy of separating investments into financial security (gold, Bitcoin, strategic stocks) and financial independence (real estate, mortgage notes, cash flow investments). This framework helps investors stay focused on long-term wealth building rather than getting caught up in daily market swings.IBC as Financial Foundation: How Infinite Banking Concept serves as a strategic cash warehousing system outside the traditional banking framework. Beyond tax advantages, IBC provides the flexibility to capitalize on opportunities while building toward generational wealth transfer that can end the "rat race" for future generations.Government Spending Reality Check: Despite initial optimism about DOGE and spending cuts, the conversation reveals why meaningful budget reductions remain unlikely. With only $9.4 billion in rescission bills compared to trillion-dollar deficits, the system continues its trajectory of money creation and asset price inflation.Resilience Beyond Finance: Building non-financial resilience through home preparedness, local community connections, and relationships with local farmers. This approach acknowledges that true security comes from people and community, not just portfolio performance.➡️ Chapters:00:00 - Introduction and Market Volatility Overview02:00 - Joe Withrow's Background and Investment Philosophy05:00 - Recent Geopolitical Events and Market Impact08:00 - The Two-Tiered Investment Strategy Explained11:00 - IBC's Role in Wealth Building Strategy14:00 - Generational Wealth and Breaking the Rat Race17:00 - Dollar-Cost Averaging and Market Timing20:00 - DOGE Disappointment and Spending Reality24:00 - Government Asset Monetization Possibilities27:00 - System Collapse vs. Muddling Through31:00 - Building Community and Local Resilience34:00 - Real Estate and Practical Wealth Applications37:00 - Homeschooling and Educational Freedom41:00 - Dollar System Evolution and Stablecoin Strategy47:00 - Venetian League Network and Implementation FocusGot Questions? “They're not calling it QE, but that's exactly what it is,” says Michael Gentile, founder partner at Bastion Asset Management. He tells Daniela Cambone that the Fed's quiet purchase of $43 billion in U.S. bonds signals “how precarious the situation” has become—with rising deficits, fewer natural buyers of U.S. debt, and the Fed increasingly forced to intervene. As a result, central banks around the world are rotating out of the U.S. dollar and into physical gold, driving a multi-decade structural shift in global reserve strategy. “We're seeing a multi-year, multi-decade rotation out of U.S. dollar assets into gold,” he states. Watch the full video to discover how to better protect your wealth in these uncertain times. Matt interviews Paul Atherton, CEO of High Spire, about how builders can create generational wealth by leveraging their construction businesses for real estate development. Most builders sell their companies for 1-2x earnings, which isn't enough to pass down wealth. Instead, Paul outlines three wealth-building pillars: operating a profitable business, investing in real estate, and adding value to assets.Builders have a competitive edge in real estate because they understand construction costs, materials, and labor, allowing them to budget more accurately than traditional developers. We can invest in land development, adaptive reuse projects, and value-add properties, turning older commercial spaces into high-yield investments. Paul stresses the importance of cap rates, IRR (Internal Rate of Return), and strategic financing; he recommends builders aim for 25% IRR on projects and seek off-market deals. For those new to investing, Paul advises strengthening branding and marketing, setting anti-goals to maintain work-life balance, and networking with commercial brokers and private investors. Builders should analyze 20 real estate deals per month to understand market trends. While High Spire offers capital investment opportunities, the goal is to help builders become self-sufficient real estate investors. With real estate offering long-term appreciation and cash flow, builders who reinvest wisely can secure financial freedom for future generations.
