[00:24:07]         When Did He Decide to Educate Others [00:29:14]         One Thing He Wishes He Had Implemented Sooner to Accelerate His Journey? [00:33:29]         His Advice for People Looking to Take Action [00:35:38] In This Episode You'll Learn: In this episode, Casanova and Kyle talk about finding your tribe, have more abundance in your life, and getting rid of the scarcity in your life. Kyle is a former corporate burnout guy, who now creates experiences for people to connect. He likes to be in the background, while creating things for people to step into. Talking about corporate burnout, Kyle says that when you're burned out professionally, it affects every category of life. Every facet of your mental, physical, and personal life gets affected by it. Around the Thanksgiving of 2014, Kyle finally had the realization, and he wanted to stop everything in his life being second priority to his work. Looking back at the process, he calls it connecting the dots. He says that looking back, you've got to have a mentor, you've got to have a coach, you have to be with masterminds, whatever it might be having someone to be there with you to help you through that process speeds up the process. Kyle says that he connected the dots, figured out what he loved, what he was good at and then he started to create those experiences as a result. Talking about his personal and professional growth journey, it included reading a lot of books, listening to podcasts and then he realized that information and knowledge are great, but application is what really matters. Stepping into entrepreneurship, it was a whole new thing for him. It meant that he had to get help, and be vulnerable. He adds that there are different things you can do. You can have mentors from afar, but people have to understand that at some point they will require investments, and that's really important because if you're looking for someone's time, their time is also valuable. Talking about how they got out of massive debt of $380,000 in 38 months, he started with budgeting. He says that we can rephrase the term ‘budget' to how you spend money, and this gives you permission to spend, that doesn't feel constricting. He says that if you want to get through debt fast, play good defense, but you've got to play good offense. Figure out how to double your income, then cut your expenses in half. He adds that if you focus too much on cutting expenses, you will inadvertently develop a scarcity mindset. Talking about how he created experiences, he wanted it to be a smaller, intimate, more exclusive group, because you can't get to know that many people. He does it by forcing people into a container where they have to learn it really quick, and that is more impactful than a 90-minute guest speaker presentation when you actually get to live it out. He adds that finding your tribe is important, because then, we can all lift each other up and we can be better entrepreneurs, business professionals, fathers, husbands, friends, all of these things. After these experiences, they still get together and you're accountable to doing what you said you were going to do.  Kyle says we often overlook that we have the gift of listening, we all have that ability to active listen. You should create your own accountability partners, your own accountability group. He adds that to make sure you don't get stuck in a rut, ask yourself the question, how do I need to support myself through this process? The answer looks like building a tribe and building a community of people that can support you, and it looks like building routines into your day. Kyle says that action brings clarity, keep taking action even if it feels insignificant or small. Key Quotes:         “In the morning, so if anyone's burned out, they're going to feel this, I didn't want to go to work.…”         “Where are my passions and where am I good at something? Connect the dots for that…”         “If anyone's listening and you're in that space, get a mentor, get a coach, get friends that will help, whatever it might be, but that will speed up the process for you…”         “You have got to have someone who is holding you, like, you can't do it on your own, you've got to have someone that's going to hold you accountable to doing what you say you're going to do…”         “Being vulnerable is not weak, being vulnerable is true strength…”         “You're a grown man, but you have to take some risks in life, no matter if they're spiritual, financial or whatever it was…”         “If someone isn't there financially, you can, you can have so many mentors from afar. You can consume their books, their podcasts, or YouTube, all of these things…”         “If you're looking to go from corporate to entrepreneurship, find someone who's been on that same path and is willing to maybe take some time and share with you their journey…”         “Some people hear the word budget and they're like, ah, it feels constricting…”         “You have to play offense and defense. Playing defense in this example is cutting expenses…”         “You've got to develop a little bit of skill to play defense to manage your money. Otherwise, if you're given more money, you're just going to spend it…”         “When I was getting into entrepreneurship, not knowing what I was doing, I needed a tribe around me, and I sought out that tribe…” Links/Resources:         Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kyle_depiesse/   Help us out? Kyle Roof, founder of PageOptimizer Pro, talks about inventing his idea, building his MVP, and navigating his entrepreneurship journey from zero to 30,000 MRR. Listen for more insights.   Like many entrepreneurs, Kyle Roof struggled with SEO before finally devising a robust strategy to rank websites. His strategies help marketers, and business owners eliminate their SEO challenges, accelerate their goals, and save money. Join the conversation as listen to Kyle as he tells Geordie about his journey.   What You'll Learn  Specific areas that Google checks on your website Who is Kyle's ideal customer? Challenges that Kyle and his team faced during the software development stage At what point in the business did Kyle and his team start developing the SaaS tool? The testing concept and how Kyle executes it Most effective areas to position your keyword How to get your SEO right How Kyle handled the MVP development process  In this Episode:    In his quest to understand Google's algorithm, Kyle co-founded and acquired a patent for high voltage, an agency to facilitate his efforts. Through the agency, Kyle and his team develop controllable environments to regulate all web pages before it (the agency) evolved to become a SaaS platform. Kyle and his team have mastered identifying what can or cannot be a ranking factor, and factors that could be stronger than others. Kyle mentions one lesson he learned from testing the Google algorithm, and you can learn about it from the podcast.   According to Kyle, Google analyzes various sections of your website by searching for critical terms, your target keyword, or the main keyword. He would later realize that the Google algorithm is math-based. Identifying and granting the algorithm the correct math, helps you develop the best content to rank better than your competitors.   Previously, the agency did everything manually, which Kyle admits was terrible. They later changed to Google Sheets before writing a script. Find details of what happened once Kyle had a script in the podcast. Are you looking to rank better on Google? Kyle says you are his target customer.   Before venturing in the tech world Kyle was a lawyer. However, he quit and moved to South Korea. While he had intended to remain there for a year, his stay stretched to five years, during which he launched a business, a school. At some point, Kyle needed a website, but the process was slightly complex even though he had some website development experience from his college days. While building his team took a while, he ended up with a strong team. Kyle later figured he could contract websites and went ahead to do so. Kyle collaborated with his brother, a web development and design expert, with whom they opened a company in India before he (his brother) was thrown in jail. Find out why the police raided their small company in India and how they freed Kyle's brother from the podcast.  They say necessity motivates you to invent, a phrase that applies to Kyle's situation when he had no option but to learn SEO immediately. He, then acquired SEO clients from his failed company marking his entry into the world of algorithm testing. Kyle mentions that everything they incorporate within their strategies is tested and data-driven to guarantee results. Following the need to automate their processes, Kyle and his team decided to develop software. He explains some challenges they faced before finally getting the software right. Get all the details from the podcast. Kyle also gives a detailed explanation of the testing and SEO concept. Do not miss this informative part of the podcast. What problem does Kyle's platform seek to solve? It helps users figure out how to generate excellent content that helps them rank better than their competitors. For example, if you have a target keyword, the platform helps you determine the number of times it should appear in your paragraph and the number of times you should include it in your age tags. Listen to the podcast for extensive details on how the platform operates. He also breaks down their MVP development phase and pricing model since inception to date. Working with a development team can be challenging, especially if you are doing so virtually. Kyle talks about some of the challenges he has had with his development team. One of the most effective strategies that Kyle and his team used to navigate from 15,000 to 30,000 MRR was attending conferences, appearing on YouTube shows, and doing podcasts. Kyle concludes the podcast by discussing some of the lessons he has learned during his journey. Resources PageOptimizer Pro.  Kyle Roof Twitter Kyle Roof LinkedIn

Today’s show brings back guests Kyle Dobbs and David Grey for an epic meeting of two biomechanical minds.  I’ve learned a lot from both Kyle and David on and off of this podcast.  Both David and Kyle’s prior episodes have been in our all-time top-listened shows, and I’m excited to get them together for a show. Kyle Dobbs is the owner and founder of Compound Performance which offers online training, facility consulting and a personal trainer mentorship.  He a leading expert in integrating complex movement principles into physical training methods for multiple human disciplines.   David Grey is a biomechanics specialist based in Waterford, Ireland.  He is the creator of the “Lower Body Basics” programs, and has learned under a number of great mentors in the world of movement, S&C, gymnastics, mobility, martial arts, and biomechanics. One element of human performance I’m always looking to become better versed in is breathing, posture, pressure dynamics and how these elements impact our movement and performance potential.  From lifting, to running, to changing direction explosively, how we “stack” and align our pressure centers and body structures makes a big impact on how well we can perform those skills and be free of injury. On today’s podcast, Kyle and David go in depth on rib cage dynamics, breathing and pressure management in context of crawling and running.  We’ll also touch on posture, training the frontal plane, and finish with some talk on the feet, plantar fasciitis, and thoughts on coaching preferential foot pressures in movement. Today’s episode is brought to you by SimpliFaster and Lost Empire Herbs. View more podcast episodes at the podcast homepage. Head to www.lostempireherbs.com/justfly for 15% off of your purchase! Timestamps and Main Points 6:05 How Kyle and David look to explain and sequence breathing work within the course of a session 15:05  Ways to observe groups in crawling and locomotion exercises, and how to observe links between those movements and rib cage and breath action 23:50 How Kyle and David address the reciprocal action of the ribs seen in locomotion in breathing and breath work 32:35 What you might see in a crawl or squat that shows that an athlete is compressed, as well as compensation patterns that lead to stiff lumbar spine actions 39:55 How a “ribs first” mentality is critical when it comes to posture and spinal alignment 45:55 Discussing the frontal plane in athletic movement and how muscular strategy switches to respiratory strategy as one moves from lifting to sprinting to distance running 55:25 Training the breath in various exercises outside of ground-based positions 1:06:25 Advice and ideas on dealing with plantar fasciitis in athletes, as well as dynamics of calcaneal motion and how it fits with the rest of the kinetic chain 1:15:25 Thoughts on preferential pressures on different portions of the foot for athletic movements “I will ask my clients to do a toe touch, squat, range of motion, and then we’ll try a positional breathing drill that makes sense in my mind, and if we re-test, it should be better… if it’s not better we are doing the wrong thing” Grey “Your body, from an autonomic position, is going to prioritize breathing over everything else” Dobbs “If you are already in an extended position, and posteriorly compressed in that position, then you don’t have any more extension to actually be able to leverage, so we talk about getting more of a neutral posture, more flexion so that you actually have a larger bandwidth to drive extension when needed” Dobbs “When you look at a 90/90 breathing position, you flip it over and put someone in a crawling position, and it’s basically a 90/90 with a reach up into the sky” Grey “If we can get the rib cage moving, and get people to feel their body and be aware of their body, the breathing can be the result of that sometimes” Grey

Many entrepreneurs struggle to find that balance between work and home life. Businessman and author Kyle Houston not only found that balance, but overcame incredibly bleak odds to not only be an extremely successful businessman, but also an incredible husband and father. Join us today for part one of a true rags to riches story! Kyle grew up in a small Missouri town of about 4600 people with small-town values, where everyone knew you — the good and the bad. He is a self-described “big fish in a small pond”, and attributes some of his later success to the self-confidence this status and his small-town values instilled in him.  Highlights from this episode Kyle’s early life. [3:39] The first turning point in Kyle’s life. [5:22] Kyle’s first successful business venture and downward spiral into addiction. [6:42] How Kyle came to his purpose while in prison. [11:30] How Kyle faced his fears and turned his life around after prison.[17:50] Where things started to turn Kyle played varsity football throughout his high-school career. He was a key player and never came out of the game. Kyle went into his senior year fully expecting college scouts to be checking him out. Instead, he got mono. This was a devastating blow for Kyle — a complete shift from what he thought his senior year would look like. What followed were several years of struggle to find his place and his ultimate discovery that he had a real propensity for business.  At 24, Kyle built a business from scratch and was extremely successful — until methamphetamines changed the course of his life yet again. Listen to learn how Kyle went from the top of his game to a junkie facing life in prison and back to the top again! How 23 hours a day led to 3 truths Kyle found himself facing life in prison, spending 23 hours a day alone in a cell. He had burned every bridge — even his mother quit talking to him — and only had himself and God. He decided he was going to figure out purpose, which “filled the hole (he) was shoveling meth into with God-shaped stuff”, and ultimately led to his recovery. Eventually, his purpose became clear and he came to know three baseline truths. Tune in to learn the truths that led to Kyle’s new purpose! Kyle’s road to #legendary Kyle left prison after seven years — a man with no college degree, no network and no real knowledge of how much technology had changed. At this point, he was scared to have interaction with “normal” people – those who had never been incarcerated. He had many fears, but his ability to unflinchingly face that fear and his bulletproof belief that he could work through his circumstances helped him go from scared convict to VP of a $2 billion publicly-traded company in 10 years. Keep listening to find out how he faced his fear and achieved all of his goals! Hey everybody! Welcome back to The Bolton Ebikes Podcast. I’m your host, Kyle Chittock, the owner of Bolton Ebikes and today I’m going to talk to you about security.   There is a particular YouTube video that I have thought about filming for quite some time. If you’ve listened to all of the podcast episodes, you may have heard me mention or reference this - but basically, one of the more common questions people ask about bicycles and ebikes specifically is “How do you keep them secure?” Ebikes are great! You can go so much further, you can travel with them, you can go to the store with them, you can run errands. But if you go to the store, the local library, or even in your driveway. How do you prevent the bike from being stolen? During this episode you’ll learn more about:  How Kyle secures his bike and makes sure 100% to guarantee it won’t get stolen.  What you can do if you don’t have your keys to your battery - but still need to get it off. And when that might be necessary.  The importance of using the key that comes with your bike to lock and unlock your battery.  What brand of ebikes uses a blank key on all of their ebikes.  What you can do to add additional peace of mind to secure your ebike beyond a good lock.  How to 100% guarantee that your ebike doesn’t get stolen when running a quick errand. Thank you so much for listening to The Bolton Ebikes podcast. I love all the reviews I get for the show. If you’ve been listening for a while and you have not left a review please do so. Kyle Richardson is a Colorado-based professional runner and mountain athlete who is best known for his high-stakes, high-speed endurance feats in the Rocky Mountains. Over the past two years, Kyle has set several Fastest Known Time (“FKT”) records in the Colorado mountains—most notably on Boulder’s First and Third Flatirons, as well as the renowned LA Freeway route that stretches from Longs Peak to Arapahoe Peak. Away from his endurance feats, Kyle is a formally trained musician, and he composes original music for filmmakers and outdoor brands such as Black Diamond and La Sportiva. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Kyle’s youth was defined by time in the outdoors with his family and a deep commitment to music and playing the drums. His love of the West’s wide-open spaces led him to college at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he began to realize his talent for endurance and moving quickly through the mountains. After several years of running and climbing throughout Colorado, he captured the attention of the endurance community with his record-setting time on the LA Freeway, a difficult and exposed route that combines running, scrambling, and rock climbing. Since then, he has earned sponsorships from major outdoor brands that have allowed him to pursue his adventures in the mountains with full focus and intensity. I met up with Kyle in Boulder, where we had a wide-ranging conversation about his passion for the mountains and music. We started by discussing his athletic career and some of the details around his fastest known times on well-known mountain routes. We also discussed Kyle’s love of the process of training—in both athletics and music—and how his commitment to preparation gives him the confidence to pursue challenging and sometimes dangerous goals. We discuss the common skills required to be great in both endurance sports and music, and Kyle talks about some of the mentors and heroes who have shaped his career. Kyle is a voracious reader, so we talk a lot about books, and Kyle reveals a very interesting personal tie to one of my favorite history books, "Empire of the Summer Moon." Kyle is humble and thoughtful, and it was a real pleasure getting to know him. Hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did. --- Full episode notes: https://mountainandprairie.com/kyle-richardson/ --- TOPICS DISCUSSED: 3:00 - How Kyle describes his athletic pursuits 6:00 - Kyle and Fastest Known Times (“FKT”) 10:30 - FKTs in the Boulder’s Flatirons 16:00 - Training routine 18:00 - Growing up in Texas 20:30 - Music and how it informs athletics 22:50 - Film scoring, composing, and music industry 26:30 - Heroes and mentors in the music world 28:00 - Drums, running, and excess energy as a kid 29:30 - When people began to take note of Kyles running 32:30 - Athletic mentors 38:30 - Artistic, cerebral aspects to mountain sports 39:30 - Assessing risk in the mountains 42:30 - Nature making you feel small 46:30 - Kyle’s parent’s support for his career 48:30 - Running goals for 2020 52:00 - Books he’s currently reading 54:15 - Favorite books about the West 56:00 - Limiting screens and social media 57:30 - Favorite location in the West 58:45 - Most powerful outdoor experience 1:00:25 - Parting words of wisdom ---- ABOUT MOUNTAIN & PRAIRIE: Mountain & Prairie Podcast Mountain & Prairie on Instagram Upcoming Events About Ed Roberson Support Mountain & Prairie
