Steve Moore: The 'Monday Is Okay' Mix

Ransom Note

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 16, 2021 55:48

For over fifteen years Steve Moore has worked to create expansive, synthesizer driven music which challenges the limitations and preconceptions of the machinery itself and the sounds created. He has released numerous records on the likes of L.I.E.S, Mexican Summer, Future Times and Be With Records. Many of these releases have explored variable themes, some have included club ready material whilst others have been strictly focussed on ambience and experimental styles. It is not the case that Steve Moore is a jack of all trades, more so that he produces and creates the music which he wants, when he wants. Where and how it is received is beyond his actualisation, if it makes people dance then great, if it doesn't then that's great too. Most recently he has released new material on Kompakt, the longstanding German label founded by Wolfgang Voigt, Michael Mayer and Jürgen Paape. It might be described as 'techno' but in reality it's as much a cinematic, synth driven, ethereal collection of music which might sound as perfect on a dark and lonely late night drive as it would in any nightclub. In keeping with this theme, we asked Steve to create a mix which reflects his love of ambience, soundtracks and tonality. He does so with delicate precision, showcasing music by the likes of Dopplereffekt, Steve Miller Band, Ennio Morricone and more. There's even an unofficial Steve Moore version of Al Stewart's 'Year of the Cat'.

Legendary Crypto veteran Bobby Lee thinks Bitcoin will skyrocket in price by the end of 2021, according to a Fortune interview. “I don't officially give financial advice, but personally I'm confident that the latter half of this year Bitcoin will go back above $65,000. I think it'll peak out over $250,000 later this year.” However, Lee also thinks BTC will endure a bear market in 2022 and lose 50-80% of its value after touching the new all-time high. A couple of years after the 2022 bear market, he thinks it will move into another bull cycle. “I think Bitcoin will have its bull cycle every three or four years in the coming years. I expect Bitcoin to pass a million, two million dollars easily in the next 10-15 years. In fact, the next cycle I predict to be in the year 2024 or 2025, and that's when Bitcoin will cross half a million dollars and might even touch $1 million.” For complete show notes and for the full premium experience with video, visit our YouTube channel at http://CryptoNewsAlerts.net

The highs for Bitcoin are yet to be seen this year, says Alex Mashinsky, chief executive officer and co-founder of Celsius – the centralized cryptocurrency lending platform – told Cointelegraph at Bitcoin 2021 in Miami that he sees the BTC price reaching $160,000 this year, or possibly a bit lower. Mashinsky further remarked that the crypto market was bound for a correction, following Bitcoin's recent all-time high of ~$64,800: “When you go too high, too fast, you are bound for a correction. You can see my tweets in both March and February saying ‘we're going to have a crash, we're going to have a correction.' I predicted $30,000. Bitcoin is like a spring – we stretch it too much and we put too much leverage. Such a run of near impossible victories wouldn't be seen again in British history until Leicester won the league in 2016. Montrose fought to make himself 'Master of Scotland' but like Alex Salmond it all came crashing down around him, not because he was 'grabby' or anything, his Royalist cause lost support and unlike Ruth Davidson he didn't have a peerage in the House of Lords to fall back on now he wasn't as popular in Scotland.
