The transformation of work and how we define the workplace have changed considerably over the last two years. As we continue to evolve, hybrid workspaces will become more complicated too, and the days of a one size fits all approach for employees and the devices they use will no longer work in a world where we need more options. Large enterprises also have ESG scores and sustainability to consider before discarding thousands of old laptops or smartphones. But, again, there are many things to consider. For example, not everyone needs a high-powered machine, with task workers needing just a chrome book. But, equally, some teams with more intensive work with requirements around unified communications will need a higher spec device. Kevin Greenway, CTO at 10ZiG Technology, has built a reputation for helping businesses with endpoints, specifically thin and zero clients for cloud workspaces and virtual desktops. Kevin joins Manjunatha Gali from Citrix on the podcast to discuss how companies looking to access Citrix have predominantly connected via Linux, MAC OS, and Windows-based operating systems. But as The workplace is evolving, companies are now looking towards Chromebooks with the introduction of Chrome OS flex.

In this episode of the Citrix Ready Podcast series, I wanted to explore one of the tech's unsung heroes, application monitoring. Traditionally, a dashboard would warn IT teams something was wrong, and they would react to the problem as users jammed the service helpline asking for updates. In 2020, businesses need to be more proactive and address a problem before it becomes a problem. When browsing the Citrix Market place, I learned that Scoutbees by Control Up helped monitor business app availability proactively and notifies teams in advance about any issues. I invited Allen Furmanski from Citrix and Gadi Feldman from Control Up to learn more about the relationship between both companies and how together they are making monitoring great again. Allen Furmanski is a Senior Alliance Platform Solutions Architect with the Global Alliances Team focusing on joint solutions and go-to-market initiatives with key industry partners. Technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in our day-to-day lives both at home and at work. As organizations shift operations to support more remote working, employees are finding that once where collaboration was face-to-face, technology has taken its place and their work-life is now predominantly digital. But how is this impacting our digital wellness? According to Quartz, “digital wellness is defined as tech’s ideal state in which it works in harmony with users’ physical and mental health.” It’s a key ingredient for a positive employee experience. However, contrary to aspiration, Quartz research highlights that employees see digital wellness as something far from reality. The good news is that Citrix believes that with the right leadership and technology, these consequences can be avoided or overcome. While technology plays a helpful and critical role in our daily work life, it can also distract us and become counterproductive. As our lives become more technology integrated, employers have a responsibility to ensure the products and systems they deploy to support the digital wellbeing of employees. Join us to discover how Citrix and Flexxible IT are taking on this new responsibility in these ever-changing times. Nigel Woods is a Technical Evangelist specializing in all aspects of End User Computing, Desktop Virtualisation, Cloud Computing, Desktop Transformation, and Application Delivery.
