Dr. Stephanie Peacock is a chiropractor and staff doctor who specializes in elite athletic fitness coaching, nutritional support for training and competition, and Active Release Techniques. Stephanie has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She balanced academics with competitive swimming in college where she won gold medals at the U.S. Open and World University Games. During her swim career, she is most known for breaking the longest standing record in the NCAA books, a 23 year old record which won her the national championship. After graduation, she swam professionally for the Mission Viejo (CA) Nadadores, ending her swimming career as the 2016 U.S. Olympic team alternate in the 800-meter freestyle. During her chiropractic studies, Stephanie developed a passion for plant-based nutrition. She realized that a whole-plant-food-based lifestyle was what she wanted to make the center of her practice, which ultimately led her to TrueNorth Health Center. She joined the staff in March, 2020, with a desire to help people live longer, healthier lives. Her favorite indoor hobby is creating plant based recipes that are salt, oil sugar free. After seeking help from a sports medicine doctor, a chiropractor, and a massage therapist and not seeing any results, he turned to Google, which is where he discovered an Active Release Techniques practitioner. After just a couple of sessions, he was pretty much cured. And so began his interest in the bodywork industry. He quit his engineering job to pursue training in the Active Release Technique.
