What's the weirdest situation you've listened to Radio X in?Chris was off this week so Toby stepped into the breakfast shoes and had just about the silliest show you can imagine. We were also blessed with some awesome guests this week, gave away lots of tickets to upcoming gigs and became privy to Toby's terrifyingly accurate clairvoyance skills. The first guest we had this week was the incredibly talented Vicky McClure. She came into the studio to chat about the new season of Trigger Point. She spoke to Toby and the team about the unique experience of working with real-world bomb diffusers on set as they aim to make the show as close to reality as possible. What she didn't expect coming into the studio this week however, was to be playing a game that involved delivering electric shocks to producer John.Next, Russell Tovey popped into the studio to talk about his new book: Art School (in a book): A future artist's guide to contemporary Art. He spoke about the inaccessibility of the art world for an outsider and how intimidating it can be. He also said that art is for everyone and that his new book is a way of helping young people bridge this gap. Oh and he also chatted about silly things too like how insane it was voicing Sun, Sex and Suspicious Parents. Finally we had the legendary Mumford & Sons in the studio chatting to Toby about a host of topics, ranging from their latest single featuring Hozier, to being onstage with Springsteen. They also spoke about other artists they dream of collaborating with, such as Stevie Nicks and Adele. That's all for this week, but we have these to offer you before we go:Planning a heistThe ceremony at Hayes Bowls ClubCouples on their wedding nightEnjoy! The Chris Moyles Show on Radio XWeekdays 6:30am - 10am
Angela's first serving of aligot goes down very well with Nick and our brilliant guest. Vicky McClure is a BAFTA-winning actor known for her incredible roles in Line of Duty as Kate Fleming and This is England as Lol Jenkins. She joins Nick and Ange to talk about the third series of Trigger Point, the thriller in which Vicky plays Lana, a bomb disposal expert (known as an expo), struggling with trauma and PTSD. You can watch the show from 26 October on ITV and ITVX. Vicky was born in Nottingham and lives there today with her husband Jonny, who is also an actor and filmmaker. The couple first met over a sausage cob, and it's one of many areas of food and drink that Vicky feels strongly about, including tea and how to act with it correctly. We begin the episode with Nick mixing up the first ever bloody Mary on the show ahead of a main course of roast topside of beef with peppercorn gravy & aligot. Aligot, a recipe made of potato and cheese, also makes its Dish debut... but definitely not its last, based on this reaction. It's paired with a glass of Catena Malbec. Vicky brings pure joy to our table as well as her passion for her hometown and nighttime. We hear about working with Madonna and how she prepares for her demanding roles. And her second career path plan? Well, it's right up our street. You can watch full episodes of Dish on YouTube and, new for this season, on Spotify. Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) offers a breakthrough solution for these challenges, providing effective treatment options for conditions that were once deemed intractable. Below, we explore practical insights and techniques that medical practitioners can incorporate into their practice, drawn from experiences in using FSM to address nerve pain. The Challenge of Identifying Treatment Effectiveness When patients do not visibly feel the effects of FSM during treatment, it raises the question of how practitioners can ascertain if the therapy is working. Initial pain relief is an evident indicator; however, alternative markers such as improved range of motion or delayed onset of pain alleviation can also signal effectiveness. Practitioners should encourage patients to monitor their pain levels and range of motion post-treatment to evaluate its impact. Managing Expectations and Exploring Options Chronic nerve pain may not always yield immediate relief. Practitioners must advise patients that while the effects may not be instant, a progressive approach—evaluating changes over the course of hours or days—is essential. This ensures that patients understand FSM is one tool among many, aiding practitioners to pivot in treatment approaches as necessary to suit individual needs. Current Type and Frequency Decisions Not all FSM treatments are identical, with varying currents and frequencies applicable based on the patient profile. The choice between alternating and polarized positive currents can affect treatment outcomes, and starting with default protocols like alternating for non-athletes or polarized positive for athletes can be beneficial. Continuous assessment and adaptation of these settings based on patient response form an integral part of personalized FSM therapy. The Complexity and Fluidity of Pain Diagnosis Practitioners often encounter patients with multifaceted conditions where nerve pain is only one symptom. It's crucial to distinguish whether pain originates from nerve damage or other structural or musculoskeletal issues. For instance, pain labeled as nerve-related might sometimes result from facet joint issues or disc problems. Thus, thorough evaluations and applying the specific currents and frequencies designed for these conditions are vital for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Treatment Strategies for Recurrent and Complex Pain Those practicing FSM should also recognize that symptoms can sometimes resurface, suggesting underlying issues were not fully resolved. This necessitates a proactive approach in evaluating and adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing patient feedback and reevaluation of initial diagnoses. Importance of Education and Continuous Learning Treating nerve pain effectively with FSM involves understanding both the body's physiology and the patient's individual experience. Continuous learning and application of FSM protocols ensure practitioners keep abreast of best practices, thus providing patients with comprehensive care. By integrating these insights into practice, medical professionals can enhance treatment regimens involving Frequency Specific Microcurrent to manage nerve pain and related conditions, ultimately offering their patients improved quality of care and hopeful recovery outcomes.

Karen Read Timeline EXPOSED: FBI Expert Unpacks the 12:32 AM Trigger Point What happened at exactly 12:32 AM on January 29, 2022? In this episode, retired FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer helps unpack the forensic timeline that could determine Karen Read's fate. We break down the Lexus vehicle data that shows Read's SUV was placed in reverse at precisely 12:32 AM—and explain how this moment lines up exactly with the final movement recorded on John O'Keefe's cellphone. Is this a forensic coincidence… or digital proof of impact? Coffindaffer lays out how agents and forensic teams interpret overlapping digital events, what it means to correlate car event data with phone metadata, and why the prosecution is leaning hard on that exact second. We also examine how the defense is scrambling to refute this data-driven narrative—and what jurors are most likely to take away. The moment the car moved may be the moment everything changed. #KarenRead #KarenReadTrial #FBIAnalysis #VehicleTelematics #DigitalTimeline #JohnOKeefe #ForensicData #CrimeSceneReconstruction #HiddenKillers #ReverseThrottle Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? .Check out our YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/@hiddenkillerspod Instagram https://www.instagram.com/hiddenkillerspod/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/hiddenkillerspod/ Tik-Tok https://www.tiktok.com/@hiddenkillerspod X Twitter https://x.com/tonybpod Listen Ad-Free On Apple Podcasts Here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/true-crime-today-premium-plus-ad-free-advance-episode/id1705422872

It's important to know the progression of muscle fiber dysfunction to better understand how to treat and how long it may take to correct the problem. The analysis of current research provides substantial evidence supporting the progression of muscle fiber dysfunction as a significant contributor to musculoskeletal pain, aligning with the hypothesized sequence: sustained muscle tone leading to long-term muscle fiber shortening, which subsequently culminates in painful myofascial trigger points. The initial phase of this progression is rooted in the transition from normal physiological muscle tone to a state of pathological hypertonia or chronic muscle overload. Sustained low-level muscle contractions, even at submaximal levels, are shown to generate sufficient intramuscular pressure to compromise local capillary blood flow. This circulatory impairment leads to localized ischemia and hypoxia within the muscle fibers, precipitating a critical "energy crisis" due to insufficient ATP production. This energy deficit is pivotal for the subsequent development of muscle fiber shortening. ATP is indispensable not only for muscle contraction but also for the crucial process of muscle relaxation, specifically for the detachment of myosin heads from actin and the re-uptake of calcium ions. When ATP is depleted, these relaxation mechanisms fail, resulting in sarcomeres becoming locked in a state of sustained, pathological hypercontraction. This localized shortening at the sarcomere level forms the palpable "taut band" that is a hallmark of myofascial trigger points. Over extended periods, such sustained pathological shortening can also contribute to broader structural changes like muscle contractures, involving fibrosis and a permanent reduction in muscle length. The culmination of this progression is the development of painful trigger points. The sustained sarcomere hypercontraction, driven by the energy crisis and calcium dysregulation, creates a severely acidic local environment. This acidic milieu, coupled with tissue injury from prolonged ischemia, triggers the release and accumulation of various neuroactive and inflammatory mediators. These substances directly stimulate and sensitize muscle nociceptors, manifesting as the exquisite tenderness and characteristic referred pain associated with active myofascial trigger points. Furthermore, the pathophysiology of myofascial trigger points is characterized by a complex, self-perpetuating vicious cycle. The energy crisis and subsequent acidic environment inhibit acetylcholinesterase, leading to prolonged acetylcholine effects and further sustained muscle contraction. Concurrently, mediators like calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) not only potentiate muscle contraction but also directly activate nociceptors. This intricate feedback loop ensures the chronicity of the condition, as the consequences of muscle shortening directly exacerbate the initial problem of sustained contraction and pain. This comprehensive understanding of the progression from sustained muscle tone to muscle shortening and painful trigger points has significant implications for both clinical practice and future research in musculoskeletal pain. For clinicians, it underscores the importance of early identification and intervention for chronic muscle tension and overuse, aiming to disrupt the energy crisis cycle before fixed structural changes or chronic pain states become entrenched. Therapeutic strategies should not only target pain relief but also address the underlying metabolic and biomechanical dysfunctions, including restoring proper muscle length, improving local circulation, and resolving the energy deficit. For researchers, the identified roles of specific molecules like CGRP and the intricate feedback loops within the "energy crisis" model present promising avenues for developing novel diagnostic markers and targeted pharmacological or rehabilitative interventions that can effectively break the self-perpetuating cycle of myofascial pain. Originally expanded in 2014 under the Kasich administration, Ohio is one of 41 states, including the District of Columbia, that has implemented Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act. However, the addition of trigger language into the current state budget bill would allow Ohio to disenroll from Medicaid expansion if federal assistance for the program drops below 90%. The trigger language comes as congressional Republicans in D.C. consider cutting the federal match for Medicaid expansion.rnrnFor Ohio, it's a move that could strip healthcare access from over 770,000 Ohioans; including about 362,000 in rural Ohio counties.rnrnAdvocates in health equity, maternal and infant vitality, mental health, and more have sounded the alarm on what it means to return to an era before Medicaid expansion. A rollback would also disproportionately impact rural communities and their hospitals, adding to already staggering health disparities.rnrnFeaturing:rnDomonic HopsonrnPresident and CEO, Neighborhood Family PracticernrnBeejadi Mukunda, MDrnVP & Market Chief Medical Officer, Ohio, CareSourcernrnAmy Rohling McGeernPresident, Health Policy Institute of OhiornrnModeratorrnEmily CampbellrnPresident & CEO, The Center for Community Solutions

These gremlins, or saboteurs, are the inner forces that hold us back and cloud our sense of clarity and purpose. We discuss how these gremlins operate in the world, how they influence our thoughts and actions, and how we can begin to recognize them in ourselves and others. In this episode, we explore:The different types of gremlins and how they manifest in your life. The neurochemistry behind these negative patterns and how they display themselves in our soul's journey. How to recognize the gremlins in yourself (and others) to quickly shift your attitude and mood. The power of accessing your Sage—the wise, intuitive, and divine part of you that aligns with your True Nature.Practical tools to develop your Sage and reduce the grip of gremlins, making space for deeper listening, guidance, and growth. As George Bernard Shaw once said, “The greatest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” Gremlins often create that illusion in our own minds, clouding our ability to hear our higher selves. Today, we'll dive into how to break through that illusion and connect with the wisdom of your true nature. Ready to silence the gremlins and make space for your Sage? Why do mass shootings occur? Trigger Points author Mark Follman explains warning signs, behavioral assessment, and how to stop attacks before they happen.Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/1140What We Discuss with Mark Follman:Mass shootings are not random events, but involve a "pathway to violence" where perpetrators plan their attacks over time, showing warning signs that create opportunities for intervention.Mental illness is not the primary cause of mass shootings. While mental health issues may be present, perpetrators are typically making deliberate choices driven by factors like anger, isolation, and perceived grievances rather than psychosis. Many mass shooters seek notoriety and are influenced by previous attackers through emulation behavior — they want to transform from nobody to somebody through violence and media attention.Warning signs that appear before attacks often include threatening communications, research/planning behaviors, significant life stressors, and social isolation — but these must be evaluated collectively rather than as a checklist.Behavioral threat assessment teams offer an effective prevention approach by bringing together mental health professionals, law enforcement, and educators to identify at-risk individuals and provide constructive interventions like counseling, education support, and family involvement — showing that these tragedies can be prevented with the right collaborative approach. And much more...And if you're still game to support us, please leave a review here — even one sentence helps!
