Donovan Campbell, CEO, and his organization Medbridge are urging CMS to finalize specific refinements to RTM as part of the Calendar Year 2026 Physician Fee Schedule (CMS-1832-P), recognizing that RTM is critical for supporting physical therapy, patient health, and patient engagement. We will explore how this shift provides a crucial financial incentive for organizations, but more importantly, how the successful adoption of RTM enhances the clinical value proposition by improving population health, lowering overall costs, and tackling the problem of access barriers to conservative care.
Donovan Campbell, CEO of Medbridge, empowers clinicians through a platform that is focused on movement-based medicine and a holistic approach to patient care. MedBridge has developed AI tools to perform triage, act as a care coordinator, and serve as a patient-facing coach, offloading administrative tasks and providing better support to patients. These tools are designed to support clinicians by flagging potential issues and increasing patient engagement by delivering immediate digital access to care. Donovan explains, "We serve primarily physical therapists. And those physical therapists can work either in what's called a private practice outpatient setting or in a hospital setting, whether that's inpatient rehab or outpatient rehab. We also service physical therapy and adjacent practitioners, such as athletic trainers, speech and language pathologists, or occupational therapists. In this episode of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast, Dan is joined by Tyler Kallasy to discuss strategies for building a better career in performance and rehab, including the blended practice model developed by Ray Gorman.Tyler is the founder of Beyond Pain Physical Therapy and a Doctor of Physical Therapy dedicated to helping people move, perform, and live without limitation. He founded Beyond Pain to deliver a higher level of care than what the traditional healthcare system allows. After spending years working inside that system, he saw how rushed and impersonal it often was, how little time there was to truly understand the person in front of him. That realization inspired him to create something different. At Beyond Pain, Tyler has built a practice where care slows down, conversations go deeper, and every plan is built around the individual—their goals, their body, and their life—not an insurance checklist. Now based in Denver, Colorado, Tyler lives with his fiancée, Courtney, and their two dogs, Cascade and Porter. Together, they spend as much time outdoors as possible—hiking, camping, road-tripping, and exploring new places. That sense of adventure keeps him grounded and inspired.Fitness and movement have always been central to Tyler's life. He's run the New York City Marathon, completed an ultramarathon, and competed in CrossFit and powerlifting. Through both personal challenges and athletic pursuits, he's experienced the highs of peak performance and the setbacks of injury—insights that deeply inform his approach to care.Tyler is currently writing a book for active adults and athletes who feel stuck in the frustrating cycle of pain, setbacks, and false starts. The book blends science, experience, and practical strategies to help readers better understand their pain, rebuild trust in their bodies, and create lasting progress they can feel proud of.For Tyler, Beyond Pain Physical Therapy is more than just a clinic—it's a space where people's goals, struggles, and stories matter. Whether someone is working through pain, returning to performance, or simply striving to feel strong and capable again, Tyler's mission is to help them get there. For more on Tyler, be sure to follow @tylerkallasy.dpt*SEASON 6 of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast is brought to you by Isophit. In this episode of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast, Dan is joined by Athan Kollias to discuss 3D force plates and innovations in sports tech including AI & biomechanics.Athanase Kollias is the CEO of Kinvent, a Scale Up Cohort 7 company developing technology to help people in physical rehabilitation and athletes improve their movements and performance through precise measurements and real-time feedback. Raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Athan grew up surrounded by biomechanics. He spent his childhood in his father Iraklis' lab, watching as his father—a biokinetics professor—built innovative equipment to overcome budget constraints. This hands-on exposure to movement science lit a spark in Athan early on, fueling a passion that would shape his future. A former athlete himself, Athan competed in rowing and rugby for over a decade, experiencing firsthand the frustrations of injury recovery. It was during these challenges that the idea for KINVENT began to form—a way to bridge the gap between biomechanics and accessible tools for therapists and coaches. His journey took him from Thessaloniki to Paris, where he earned a double degree in mechanical engineering, splitting his studies between his home university and the prestigious École Centrale. This experience not only honed his technical skills but also opened doors to the French industry. Athan's career began at Michelin in France, where he applied his biomechanics expertise to improve driver comfort in mining vehicles. Later, he worked in Cameroon, further broadening his technical and business experience in diverse environments. For more on Athan & Kinvent be sure to follow @kinvent_official & @athan_kollias*SEASON 6 of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast is brought to you by Isophit.
