In 2018 WWE took the step to put on an all female pay-per-view for the first time to recognise the significant gains that the women roster had made over the previous few years. Of course this came with a significant amount of self congratulatory behaviour from the company themselves, but would that overshadow the action in the ring? That action would include a Last Woman Standing match between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, and a main event where Nikki Bella challenged Ronda Rousey. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by James, Rob and Tinky.
Welcome to Wrestling Recommendations! Your hosts Eddy and Travis dive in with a deep retrospective and watch along to some of their favorite wrestling matches. Tonight on The IndySiders, we're taking a closer look at WWE Wrestlepalooza — the Premium Live Event that aired last Saturday on ESPN — and then shifting gears for our indie spotlight on Beyond Wrestling's Americanrana.Wrestlepalooza marked WWE's first major show on the ESPN platform, held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar opened the card, with Lesnar dominating in a ruthless return. In tag action, Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed — The Vision — took down the reunited Usos, with guest ref LA Knight playing a role in the outcome. Stephanie Vaquer edged out Iyo SKY to capture the Women's World Title, while AJ Lee made her long-awaited return, teaming with CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch in a mixed tag. The night closed with Cody Rhodes retaining the Undisputed WWE Championship over Drew McIntyre, though the match drew criticism for being short and feeling more like a TV main event than a PLE closer.Critical reception was mixed. Some fans praised the historic ESPN debut and Vaquer's title win, while others saw the card as underwhelming, with only a few standout moments. So, was Wrestlepalooza the triumphant ESPN debut WWE hoped for — or a misstep in execution? We'll unpack that in tonight's review. Then we'll contrast it with Americanrana, where indie wrestling thrives on long-term storytelling, rising stars, and match-driven narratives.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

Welcome back to Wrestling Tonight, your weekly look at the stories shaping wrestling across WWE, AEW, TNA, NJPW, and beyond. Episode 143 follows a weekend where WWE launched its ESPN era with WrestlePalooza in Indianapolis while AEW countered with All Out in Toronto. Both events delivered major matches, big surprises, and plenty of conversation about where the industry is headed. WrestlePalooza leaned on spectacle and presentation, framed as ESPN's debut showcase. Triple H welcomed fans to the “final form of sports entertainment,” Pat McAfee returned home to the announce desk, and Brock Lesnar dominated John Cena in what felt like another farewell chapter. Stephanie Vaquer captured the vacant Women's World Title from IYO SKY, AJ Lee returned to force Becky Lynch to tap in a mixed tag with CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes retained over Drew McIntyre in a physical main event. The Undertaker also appeared to announce Stephanie McMahon as the first Hall of Fame inductee for 2026. Behind the matches, WWE emphasized site-fee partnerships and ESPN executives promised editorial independence — “a separation of church and state” — while creative stays in WWE's hands. AEW's All Out was more chaotic and match-heavy. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage reunited against FTR in a feud intensified by Beth Copeland's involvement, Eddie Kingston returned and aligned with HOOK, and Mark Briscoe scored a career-defining win over MJF in a violent Tables & Tacks match. Kris Statlander shocked Toni Storm to win the Women's Title, Brodido retained the tag belts in a ladder match capped by the Jurassic Express reunion, and Jon Moxley beat Darby Allin in a Coffin Match with help from PAC. Kazuchika Okada outlasted Konosuke Takeshita and Máscara Dorada in the show-stealer, while Hangman Page retained the AEW World Title against Kyle Fletcher in a bout that elevated the 26-year-old as a future star. Taken together, WrestlePalooza was polished and corporate-friendly, AEW was riskier and more unpredictable. WWE projected mainstream legitimacy, AEW doubled down on edge and workrate. Neither show reinvented the wheel, but both reinforced their identities. Beyond the weekend, WrestleMania 43 is confirmed for Saudi Arabia in 2027, WWE will stage its first PLE in Italy in 2026, Joe Hendry is expected to move full-time to WWE, and Raja Jackson's arrest after attacking Syko Stu at a KnokX show has drawn widespread attention. Will Ospreay successfully underwent neck surgery, beginning a long recovery. The fall schedule remains packed with TNA Victory Road, NXT No Mercy, WWE Crown Jewel, TNA Bound for Glory, and AEW WrestleDream on deck. For now, the story is clear: WWE and AEW both planted flags this weekend — one through ESPN's polish, the other through chaos in Toronto. Support the Tavern at Patreon.com/TheTurnbuckleTavern. Until next Monday, when we wine and dine with you kings and queens, stay out of the alley and away from the pork and beans: God luck and good speed.

Kevin Nash and Sean Oliver kick things off with a deep dive into the chaos and charisma of Charlie Sheen. From wild stories to surprising moments of honesty, the Sheen documentary sparks a conversation about fame, family, and how excess shapes a legacy. Kev shares personal encounters that reveal just how unpredictable Hollywood icons can be. The talk doesn't stay in one lane. Wrestling fans will find plenty to chew on, from Kevin's blunt thoughts about Becky Lynch's current presentation to the state of WWE storytelling. When storylines feel flat, Nash is the first to call it out, and this week is no exception. The back and forth captures the frustration of longtime fans who know the business can deliver more. Sports sneak into the mix as Kev and Sean debate what makes a coach respectable. Is it brains, fitness, or results on the scoreboard? The conversation weaves from NBA classics to Andy Reid's record, highlighting how different standards apply depending on the stage. It's sharp, funny, and brutally honest. The episode also zooms out to bigger issues. Tariffs, grocery bills, and Ford's financial struggles all come under the microscope. Nash connects the dots between policy and everyday life, reminding listeners that business decisions always hit the consumer first. It's a conversation that flips between personal anecdotes and hard numbers without losing momentum. By the end, you've traveled from Springfield arenas to Saudi mega deals, sitcom paychecks to the question of whether Kev would ever open up in a documentary about his own life. It's unpredictable, unfiltered, and filled with the kind of honesty that makes Kliq This stand apart.
