When a group of young campers gathers for a night of fun and partying, they are stalked by an unseen and brutal assailant. As night falls, one by one, the teens face their gruesome fates. Does this sound familiar to an 80's slasher film? If it does, that's because it was based off of this true murder spree that is still a mystery.Hosted by Jenna Swanson and Kelly DeVriesProduced and edited by Kelly DeVriesTheme music by Erik SwansonOpening music: Apprehensive at Best by Biz Baz StudioJoin our Patreon: patreon.com/odfmpodcastSocials: @odfmpodcasthttps://linktr.ee/odfmpodcastBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/odfm--5500021/support.

https://www.leanblog.org/whiskey27 In Episode 27, Mark and Jamie switch things up a bit with a morning recording of the show. While we could have just started our whiskey early, instead we decided to switch to a beverage that shares much of the same culture, craft, and appreciation as whiskey, and that is coffee. Although a bit of throwback in terms of usages, the trend towards pour over coffee embraces the culture of single origin coffee, much like the shift from whiskey blends towards more single casks. The pour over method is meant to extract more of the “good stuff” and less of the “bad stuff” from freshly ground coffee beans. So Mark and I poured our coffee and got into our topics of the day. You can see our coffee selections and equipment setups in the links below. We didn't want to lose the whiskey theme, so we used an article exploring whether 10 million barrels of whiskey resting, or aging, in Kentucky is a good thing or a bad thing. This became a launchpad to talk about whether just-in-time is dead (as the Wall Street Journal likes to claim) or just misunderstood. We explore MIT's The Beer Game, system dynamics, supply chain design, decision making, and the glut of face masks and hand sanitizer. We could have likely talked about this topic for a very long time, and had we been into a glass of whiskey, perhaps we would have. In addition to a little detour into Mark's many hats, including the reason he wears two different hats in one episode, we close on a personal note of how we both like to start our day: with coffee, reading news, and a view. Jamie's coffee, Death Wish, and Mark's coffee, Yellow Caturra Jamie's KitchenAid grinder, Chemex pour over, and kettle Mark's different KitchenAid grinder, Bodum pour over, and electric kettle 10 Million bourbon barrels resting – too much or not enough? The Wall Street Journey's misinformed piece on JIT, Jeff Liker on JIT, Dr. Jonathan Byrnes on supply chain shockwaves, and Dr. Byrnes as a guest Mark's LeanBlog podcast MIT's The Beer Game, system dynamics and accumulators and delays, and supply and demand Mark's hat and Jamie's morning view
You down with O.P.P.? Other people's pets? Of course you pet every dog, but there certainly must be lines you don't cross with other people's pets, right? Also: Jonathan slags Bodum.
In ihrer 57.
I'm joined this week by my brother Chuck, who owns and runs Elevated Roast - an artisan coffee roasting company on Bainbridge Island just across the Puget Sound from Seattle. He buys and roasts direct trade single origin beans using a patented air roasting process which never burns beans, and he roasts to order to ensure freshness for his customers. We talk about why fresh is best, and how the average consumer have had the wool pulled over their eyes for so many years. There's no reason to be drinking stale coffee beans. And for God's sake, enough with the K-cups.
What are you burying in 2021? What are you laying to rest? Rapper Plies recently revealed a persona change he's made via Instagram. This changes reflects personal growth in a major way. Japan's Top Business Interviews Podcast By Dale Carnegie Training Tokyo, Japan
Originally from the United Kingdom, Gordon Thom graduated from the University of Aberdeen and started learning Japanese before his career started in Japan. Mr Thom is the current Director of Nobasu Consulting, and shares his fascinating career progression leading Dyson's growth in the Japanese market and turning declining businesses around through patience and persistence. When Mr. Thom initially joined Dyson, he was entering a challenging market that was 99% dominated by Japanese products. He gradually built up his Dyson Japan team starting in 1998 and took a “hands-on” approach in selling and promoting the product by meeting up with potential buyers along with the Japanese Sales Director. Early on, Dyson's product was seen as “too big, too heavy and too noisy,” so Mr. Thom became determined to develop the right product for the Japanese consumers. He explains: “I think Japan is a fabulous place to be because the customer is very demanding, in terms of quality, obviously, reliability, appearance.” Overtime, Dyson developed a powerful, lightweight vacuum cleaner with a “No Loss of Suction” tagline and had a successful nationwide launch. The company's market share grew from 0.5% in 2004 to 16% in 2005. Mr. Thom moved on to lead the company's US branch. Even when dealing with a much larger scale business with thousands of stores to distribute to and 100+ employees to manage, Mr. Thom held on to his “hands-on” sales approach and sold directly to buyers instead of using distributors. After successfully turning around declining multinational businesses including Electrolux and Bodum in Japan, Mr. Thom led the launch of Shark Ninja, a US-based appliance manufacturer in launching their products in Japan. On leading in Japan, he advises to ensure whatever product or service is “right enough” for the Japanese consumer and to hire good people who can build on it. Mr. Thom further emphasizes that “people are critical” but “be prepared to take risks” and understand that “one can only change oneself. And the way to get people to change is, in a sense, to lead by example and behave the way you want your people to behave.”

Mike's love-affair for all things Apple began in his Junior High's Library playing Lemonade Stand on a pair of brand new Apple ][+ computers. Percussion. Wind. Music that comes together to soothe your soul. Or maybe just bad gas. Either way, we're back to tell you about some things. We're a little light on news, just covering Pee-wee Herman himself wanting a dark film about--himself, and Fast and Furious 9 dropping the most ridiculous trailer ever. Our Recent Review this week is The Rhythm Section. Coming out the gate like a soulful take on a woman's liberation and revenge, it really wound up being more like a stinky fart. Bodum-tssss. Variety Time consists of a great question posed to us in a segment we like to call Mail Bag. A listener emailed us to ask what our annual watches are and we couldn't stop talking about ourselves, like a couple of narcists. We, of course, paired our Recent Review with Road to Perdition for our Geriatric Cinematic, keeping in line with our familial revenge connection. Neither Mark nor Kelsey watched it prior to seeing it for this episode, and wow... We can't say enough about it. …
