Hello beautiful people! Welcome to Deep & Sexy Podcast #57. Every time I work on a podcast I feel so unbelievably joyful. You cannot imagine what it feels like to create something that I share with all of you. All the joy I have upfront by imagining what you'd think of the tracks, the journey and transitions and how it makes you feel. I truly hope it gives you as much joy as it does to me. Sutera will be part of of a new compilation: Katermukke & With You: Rumours by the Lake which is a unique collaboration in sound between Berlin and Cape Town.The compilation speaks to the soundtrack of this festival, curating a dynamic spectrum of melodic house & techno. Sutera is a dreamy and groovy melodic house production based solely on Yannek's recordings, samples and patches. For this he was out in nature, kitchen and his closets to keep the sound as diverse and organic as possible. It's this attention to detail and obsession with everything from recording to mastering that makes this track special and so unique. Freshly hatched and fancifully feathered, DJ and producer Yannek Maunz supplies the world with deep, melodic and synth-based melodic house beats he cooks up in his shambolic bedroom studio in Berlin Kreuzberg. From his very first release on, he managed to manifest a signature sound made up of analog synths, organic percussion, and a knack for memorable melodies. Over the last two years, this sound has been continuously pushing its way through dancing crowds and streaming platforms. Despite a steady stream of releases on established labels like Parquet, 3000°, Stil Vor Talent and Katermukke, he co-founded his own label YION in 2020. The mix reveals Brascon's love for bootlegs and spreads a dash of nostalgia to your week start. Brascon craves for emotions, melodies and singing. A welcome change in at the present time and a rather oppressive atmosphere. Brascon is a self-proclaimed Berlin music producer and child of two music teachers. After years of music lessons in accordion classes, he started creating mediocre beats for hip-hop productions in 2008. In 2012, he began to discover his love for electronic music in the clubs of Berlin. After celebrating his first release in 2015, many collaborations and releases with international artists followed and he was able to search and find his place in the music business more and more. In 2020, together with friends, he took the next step and founded the first label, "Peace Peter Records" and one year later the label "YION" followed. Also since 2020 he is a member of the electro-pop band "DAS MAER". After two albums as "Brascon", he can also be found since 2022 under the alias "Georg Arnim", which gives him the opportunity to go from the youth project Brascon now also a more sophisticated direction and explore the world of 3D sounds. I'm Brascon. A classical guy. I started making music in my young ages. It all begans with the accordion, keyboard, guitar (years) and music-teaching parents. Then i discovered the rap for 3 years. Finally In 2012 i was able to find and get in love with the electronic music. I now search for combinations of the different genres,. Music is a part of me and in the end, it's eveything i've became. Und das Warten hat sich gelohnt: Denn das knapp betitelte Album „Vän“ ist das experimentierfreudigste, persönlichste und ambitionierteste Projekt, dem sich der Deep-House Maestro in seiner bisherigen Karriere gewidmet hat. Von den unzähligen in der freien Wildbahn zusammengesammelten Samples bis hin zu den sorgfältig kuratierten und inszenierten Features strotzt das Album nur so vor Liebesbeweisen an Klang, Musik, die Natur und vor allem an all die Menschen, die in den letzte Jahren Teil Brascons musikalischer Reise waren. „Vän“ ist das schwedische Wort für Freund, womit schon der Titel verspricht, was die Musik später einzuhalten vermag: Dass Brascon hier eine Hommage an all die Kreativen Köpfe seines Bekanntenkreises aussprechen möchte, die ihn auf diesem Album musikalisch begleiten. After one year of production and studio work it`s finally with us. Powered by the Love to Asien countries and the curiosity to learn things about culture and rituals, “Brascon” has started to take a musical journey. “The western media never talks about the beauty of these countires. Most of the time are conflicts or their economy the points of interest. But there is so much more to explore and a whole lot of, unknown rituals and cultures to discover. I wanted to explore this different world by the sound of music and give my surroundings the opportunity to take a different look at it. “ But what do we gonna hear at his LP? 8 tracks full of oriental grooves together with the cold atmosphere of Berlin. Sometimes a moody sound breaks out of melancholic line of accords. Blues elements take over a DeepHouse groove. Nearly every track is finished with clean vocals of Asian vocalists. In his album “Brascon” tries to connect different cultures that nowadays are a part of Berlin by the magic of music. He tries to get different people together and solve conflicts. Berlin is Colorful. But it is also rough. The sound of his music shows that and much more. Whoever is ready to go on this musical journey, is gonna have a lot of fun with this album.

Was einst als kleine Liebelei zwischen einem jungen Musikliebhaber und seinem Akkordeon anfing, entpuppte sich innerhalb der letzten Jahre als eine innige, ständig wachsende, Leidenschaft. Im Alter von 8 Jahren begann für Brascon der Unterricht am Akkordeon. Ab der 10. Klasse entdeckte er das Klavier für sich. Fasziniert von der Fülle und den Möglichkeiten sich über die Musik auszudrücken, nahm diese einen immer größeren Teil seiner Freizeit ein. Ab der 11. Klasse unternahm er erste Schritte als Hiphop-DJ. Später entwickelte er sich musikalisch über House, Deep House und Minimal letztlich hin zum Tech House. Anfangs eroberte er auf heimischen Partys und lokalen Veranstaltungen die Herzen der tanzwütigen Masse. Später durfte er sein Können in ostdeutschen Clubs unter Beweis stellen. Inspiriert durch den Sound von Max Cooper, DJ Koze, Nils Frahm, Joris Voorn und Robag Wruhme perfektionierte der gebürtige Berliner seinen Stil und entwickelte sein eigenes Gespür für die tanzende Menge. Die Vielseitigkeit seiner Sets spiegelt immer wieder die verschiedenen Einflüsse wieder. Seit 2011 produzierte er eigenhändig erste Tracks. Ab 2015 erschienen erste Releases wie “Brascon & Anna - Beautiful Creatures” oder “AirDice & P.Johnsen - Hey Chica (Brascon Remix)“. Mit seinem unverkennbaren Sound möchte er die Menschen begeistern und Sie aus dem schnöden Alltag in seine Welt entführen. Über sich selbst sagt er: “Ich lebe und sterbe für und mit der Musik. Der Rest fällt mir oft zu schwer. Brascons ewig treuer Begleiter ist die Musik. Nach vielen Jahren in der Musikschule, hatte er schon vor langer Zeit die elektronischen Vorzüge der Musik entdeckt und begann seine Kenntnisse aus der Klassik auch in House- & Techno-Produktionen einfließen zu lassen. Manchmal, so findet er, gibt esTage, an denen man einfach auch die härteren Klänge zum Tanzen braucht. Melodisch aber auch nach vorn schreitend, so kennen und lieben wir ihn.
