Silvester - so hörte man es ganz ähnlich - bereits vor ein paar Tagen hier im Podcast - ist traditionell der Tag des Rückblicks. So hielt es am 31. Dezember 1925 auch der Hamburger Anzeiger – mit dem wir diesmal allerdings nicht das zurückliegende Jahr noch einmal Revue passieren lassen wollen, sondern dessen Autor „Spectator“ eine andere Art der Rückschau wagt: Er legt die unterschiedlichen Jahreswechsel der zurückliegenden Dekade nebeneinander und vergleicht von Jahr zu Jahr wie sich Situation und Stimmungen verändert haben. Ein Moment der ausgelassenen Freude, soviel sei gespoilert, war Silvester im ausgewählten Kriegs- und Nachkriegszeitraum für die Hamburgerinnen und Hamburger nie; die Sorgen und Hoffnungen, die sich mit der Jahreswende verbanden, wandelten sich mit dem Weltenlauf dennoch ganz erheblich. Di tengah pesatnya kemajuan teknologi digital dan kecerdasan buatan, ekonomi global sesungguhnya masih terbelenggu oleh aset yang paling primitif dan tidak bergerak: tanah. Fenomena yang disebut sebagai "Jebakan Tanah" (The Land Trap) ini bukanlah sisa-sisa sistem feodal masa lalu, melainkan sebuah bom waktu finansial yang aktif. Seperti yang diungkapkan oleh jurnalis Mike Bird, obsesi dunia modern terhadap kepemilikan tanah telah menciptakan ilusi kekayaan semu. Alih-alih mendorong inovasi produktif, sistem ekonomi kita justru bergantung pada inflasi harga aset yang suplainya tetap dan tak tergantikan ini, menciptakan kerentanan struktural yang berbahaya. Inti dari jebakan ini terletak pada transformasi fungsi tanah dari sekadar tempat tinggal atau lahan produksi menjadi instrumen spekulasi finansial utama. Perubahan drastis terjadi ketika bank-bank mulai memprioritaskan pemberian kredit perumahan dibandingkan pinjaman untuk usaha produktif—sebuah fenomena yang dikenal sebagai "The Great Mortgaging". Karena tanah dianggap sebagai agunan yang sempurna (tidak bisa dicuri dan nilainya cenderung naik), bank membanjiri pasar dengan kredit, yang kemudian mengerek harga tanah semakin tinggi. Siklus ini menciptakan gelembung aset yang menguntungkan pemilik properti namun mematikan daya saing ekonomi, memperlebar jurang ketimpangan, dan menyedot modal yang seharusnya digunakan untuk inovasi teknologi dan bisnis. Dampak dari ketergantungan ini terlihat jelas dalam siklus ledakan dan kehancuran ekonomi global, mulai dari "Dekade yang Hilang" di Jepang, Krisis Finansial 2008 di Amerika Serikat, hingga krisis properti di Cina saat ini. Kenaikan harga tanah yang tak terkendali menciptakan "ekonomi zombie" di mana produktivitas stagnan karena investasi lebih mengejar rente tanah daripada penciptaan nilai baru. Namun, studi kasus Singapura menawarkan secercah harapan bahwa jebakan ini bisa dihindari. Dengan memisahkan kepemilikan tanah dari hak penggunaannya dan mengontrol spekulasi secara ketat, negara dapat menjadikan tanah kembali sebagai sumber daya publik yang strategis untuk kesejahteraan bersama, bukan sekadar komoditas spekulatif yang menyandera masa depan ekonomi.

Wenn wir eine Ausstellungsbesprechung machen, dann setzen wir uns vor die Mikros und legen los. Wir sagen, was uns in den Sinn kommt und versuchen dabei eine gewisse Objektivität einzubringen. Wenn wir über unsere eigene Ausstellung sprechen, dann wird das schwierig mit der Objektivität. Es sei uns also verziehen, wenn wir uns selber belobigen. Denn es war schon ein schönes Stück Arbeit. 53 Bilder auswählen, bearbeiten, darüber schreiben, fotografieren, drucken lassen usw. Aber man wird ja nur einmal 45 Jahre alt. Denn ja, Herbert und Harry haben den Kunsthandel Giese & Schweiger im Herbst 1980 gegründet. In all den Jahren gab es eigentlich nur eine - in Stein gemeisselte - Vorgabe: die Qualität muss passen. So gesehen hat sich nicht sehr viel geändert. Und das ist gut so! Außerdem: "Best Show Ever" - eine Ausstellung in Nürnberg über die "Eventisierung" von Kunst. Und: das Theaterstück "Extrawurst" in Eggenfelden und das neue Carl-Orff-Museum in Dießen am Ammersee.

Hier nun Folge 3 meiner autobiographischen HiFi-Reise. Zuerst ein großes Dankeschön für eure Geduld – fast ein Jahr hat es gedauert, bis die Fortsetzung online ist. Umso mehr freue ich mich, jetzt weiterzuerzählen: Dieses Mal geht es um die spannenden Jahre zwischen 1990 und 2000 – eine Zeit voller technischer Entwicklungen, musikalischer Trends und ganz persönlicher Wendepunkte. In dieser Dekade entstand nicht nur vieles, was HiFi bis heute prägt – auch Fidelity wurde gegründet und unser erstes eigenes Geschäft öffnete seine Türen. Musik und HiFi sind mehr als nur Technik – sie sind Emotion, Leidenschaft und eine lebenslange Begleitung. Positive wie negative Erlebnisse prägen unseren Geschmack und formen unsere Meinung. Dieses Hobby hört niemals auf... In den ersten vier Episoden erzähle ich euch von meiner ganz persönlichen HiFi-Geschichte. Ich nehme euch mit auf eine Zeitreise, die mit der Begeisterung meiner Mutter für Musik begann. Ihr werdet erfahren, wie sich bei mir die Leidenschaft entwickelte. Erste Gehversuche mit den abgelegten Geräten der Eltern und über die ersten eigenen Geräte. Erfahrungen mit Tapedecks, Tonbandgeräten, Lautsprechern, Verstärkern und Plattenspielern bis hin zu den unvergesslichen Erlebnissen, die mich bis heute prägen. Ich teile meine Emotionen, wie ich sie in den jeweiligen Zeiten empfunden habe, und lasse euch teilhaben an meiner Reise durch die Welt meiner persönlichen Erfahrungen. In der nächsten Folge geht es dann um die Zeit ab 2000 – also um die Entwicklung von Fidelity, die ersten großen Projekte und um die Menschen, die heute dazugehören. Dabei wird mich auch Hajo begleiten. Es soll der Auftakt zu einer Reihe sein, in der ich in weiteren Folgen Gäste einladen möchte, die uns über ihre eigenen HiFi-Erlebnisse berichten. Dirk von Lotzow stammt aus Offenburg im Südwesten Baden-Württembergs. Dort wird er im März 1971 geboren.Nach diversen Schülerbands und dem Abi zieht er 1992 nach Hamburg um. Er will Rechtswissenschaften studieren. Oder zumindest schreibt er sich dafür ein. Denn schon 1993 spielt er in einer Band namens Tocotronic.Das Trio veröffentlicht 1995 gleich zwei Alben, voll mit kurzen, punkigen Indierock-Songs. Es ist der Anfang einer stabilen Band-Karriere, in der Tocotronic neben Blumfeld und Die Sterne zu den wohl populärsten Vertretern der sogenannten Hamburger Schule werden.Mit dem sechsten, nur „Tocotronic“ betitelten Album wird die Band, so fies es auch klingt: erwachsen. Die Texte sind jetzt weniger parolenhaft, dafür abstrakter, poetischer, introspektiver. Auf dem Nachfolger „Pure Vernunft darf niemals siegen“ wächst die Band mit dem amerikanischen Gitarristen Rick McPhail zum Quartett an. Mit „Golden Years“ ist im Februar 2025 das mittlerweile 14. Album erschienen.Nebenbei hat von Lowtzow mit Kollege Thies Mynther das eher elektronische Projekt Phantom/Ghost ins Leben gerufen und auch damit zwischen 2001 und 2012 fünf Alben veröffentlicht.Seine prägnante, sonor-warme Stimme ist zudem immer wieder in Songs anderen Bands und Künstler*innen zu hören. Etwa bei den Beatsteaks und Fatoni, Frittenbude und Max Herre, Fehlfarben und Dendemann.Sein eigenes Leben und die Zeit mit Tocotronic hat er in den Büchern „Dekade“ und „Aus dem Dachsbau“ verarbeitet. Er schreibt außerdem für die Zeitschrift „Texte zur Kunst“.Von Lowtzow ist übrigens schon 2003 weiter nach Berlin gezogen. Hier lebt er mit der Kamerafrau Jutta Pohlmann zusammen. Hosted on Acast. Neue Deutsche Welle, pinke Klamotten, Stirnbänder, Fall der Berliner Mauer – die 80er Jahre des vergangenen Jahrhunderts waren eine bewegende Zeit. Zu Anfang der Dekade gründeten sich überall in Europa als Reaktion auf den sogenannten NATO-Doppelbeschluss (West-Europa sollte weiter mit Atomraketen aufgerüstet werden) Friedensinitiativen. Überall in Deutschland wurde für Frieden demonstriert und blockiert. Dirk und Holger begeben sich mit Jürgen Behlau auf eine spannende Zeitreise. Behlau war in dieser Zeit für die Friedensinitiative im niedersächsischen Hermmansburg aktiv. „Natürlich hatte ich damals einen typischen Zottelbart und organisierte Proteste am Fließband“, erinnert sich Behlau.

Alper Turfan spricht seit über einer Dekade über Filme im Internet. Das macht er vornehmlich beim Funk-Format CINEMA STRIKES BACK, gemeinsam mit seinem tollen Team. Bei uns spricht er heute ausgiebig darüber, wie ihn das Genre Horror beschäftigt, was er daran mag und wie er schon früh in Berührung damit kam.
