The Holiday Movie Season continues.....and strangely enough, this one has quite the pedigree: it's directed by Renny Harlin who gave us the underrated Christmas actioner Die Hard 2: Die Harder and it's written by Shane Black who gave us the Christmas classic, Lethal Weapon. Beyond that, it stars Oscar winner Geena Davis as Charli Baltimore, a former government assassin who contracted amnesia and is now mild-mannered midwestern school teacher with a young daughter.....until of course, former rivals come calling. :o Charli has also teamed up with Mitch Hennessy, a crafty private detective played by Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson.....and what results is a quippy, brutal, and entertaining Christmas actioner which more people should have seen while it was in theaters. Adina Howard (born November 14, 1973) is an American singer, and songwriter.[1] She rose to fame during the mid-1990s with her debut album, Do You Wanna Ride? and her debut single, "Freak Like Me". Some of her other minor hits include "What's Love Got to Do with It?" (with Warren G), "(Freak) And U Know It", "Nasty Grind", "Freaks" (with Play-N-Skillz and Krayzie Bone) and "T-Shirt & Panties" (with Jamie Foxx). 1993–1996: Do You Wanna Ride? and the hit success of "Freak Like Me"[edit]Her debut album Do You Wanna Ride?, featuring the Platinum-certified hit single, "Freak Like Me", was released in 1995 and was certified Gold by the RIAA. Her follow-up singles included "My Up and Down" (#32 R&B, #68 Hot 100) and "It's All About You" (#58 R&B).In 1996, she collaborated with Warren G for the Police Story 3: Super Cop soundtrack with the single "What's Love Got to Do with It" which featured a sample of the Tina Turner hit. The single was another hit for the two, peaking at #36 on the Hot 100, #32 on R&B, and #2 on the UK charts. The music video also featured Jackie Chan in a cameo. Also that year, she collaborated on a track with Somethin' for the People titled "Damned If I Do" which appeared on the soundtrack for A Thin Line Between Love and Hate as well as their self-titled debut album. She also recorded the track "For the Funk" for the Sunset Park soundtrack.1997: Welcome to Fantasy Island and acting[edit]In 1997, she prepared for the release of her second album, Welcome to Fantasy Island (originally titled Portrait of a Lady).[2][3] It garnered critical raves and a moderate hit with the lead single, "(Freak) And U Know It", but was shelved by Elektra Records in 1997. The album was leaked to the internet a few years later and promotional copies sell for hundreds of dollars on eBay.One of the shelved album's tracks, "T-Shirt & Panties" (a collaboration with Jamie Foxx) ended up on a soundtrack the following year. It was originally slated for the soundtrack to his film Booty Call but it eventually ended up on the soundtrack to the 1998 feature film Woo. It was released promotionally as a single, and the remix featured Cam'ron and Charli Baltimore. Also this year, she collaborated with Cydal on a track titled "Chocolate (Cuties & Condoms)" which was released as a single for the Bulletproof soundtrack. The track was also included on their debut album Cydalwayz the following year.During this time, she made her feature film debut in the independent film High Freakquency, starring Deon Richmond and John Witherspoon. In 2002, she filmed her second movie role, in the still-unreleased Casanova's Demise for director Tigre Hill.[4]1998–2005: New label and The Second Coming[edit]By 2004, Howard released her third album The Second Coming on Rufftown Records. A video for the first single, "Nasty Grind", played on BET during early morning hours. The album sold poorly due to lack of promotion and only managed to gather 40,000 copies on store shelves and she was later sued by the label.[5] A second single, "(Outside) The Club" was slated to be released, along with a remix album The Second Coming: Remixed & UnCut but both were cancelled following her departure from the label.Later that year, she collaborated with Play-N-Skillz and Krayzie Bone for the track "Freaks" which sampled her hit single "Freak Like Me". The single appeared on the Play-N-Skillz album The Process and became a hit, peaking at #52 R&B and #69 on the Hot 100 (her first-charting single in 7 years). She released an official mixtape album (with DJ RIP) featuring new songs, remixes, and unreleased tracks titled Let You Hit through SoundJewelz.com on August 5, 2005.[6]2006–2007: Private Show[edit]In 2006, she announced that the single "Phone Sex" was going to be released, but the following year, the song "L.O.V.A." was released digitally as her lead single. Additionally, a song titled "Hips" was announced to be her second single.[7]Her fourth album, Private Show was delayed many times by Arsenal Records, almost to the point of being shelved.[8] However, it was released on June 26, 2007 along with a promotional single, "Picture This". As of 2008, the album has sold 4,000+ copies.[9] Following the album's release, a remixes EP for "My Hips" (appears as "Hips" on her album) was released on iTunes & other digital services in December.[10] A third official single, "Tease" was slated to be released, but as Howard parted ways with the label shortly after the album's release, it was cancelled. In 2008, she appeared in the short film Poke the Sleeping Bear which won the Grand Jury Award at the 2008 Solstice Film Festival.[11]On September 25, 2009 a UK compilation Independent Soul Divas 2 was released on Lola Waxx Records. This compilation album featured "What Do I Do", a song recorded by Howard in 2008. The album version is different than the version that was originally included on Howard's MySpace page.2008–2014: Culinary school, marriage and documentary[edit]In 2011, she started work on her Culinary Arts degree, a cookbook, a new album and a restaurant in Austin, Texas.[12] She graduated from the Le Cordon Bleu with an Associates in Culinary Arts in October 2012.[13][14]In 2012, Howard released two buzz singles online: "2 Close" and "Ooh Wee". For #002 we have Ray, aka Riddim Delivery. Originally from London but now living in Southampton, we asked him a bit about the mix and what he's done to date... "The mix starts off slow, building the energy. Casual blending in and out of the tunes. The energy is increased about a 1/3 of the way in with some classic old school garage tracks thrown in. The final 1/3 the tunes get a bit darker and the mixing a bit more experimental; look out for the MJ accapella thrown in for good measure!" "I started off mixing at about 15 with some absolutely awful belt drives. Back then I was as good at mixing as I was with women (spoiler - I failed to pull off a decent mix or woman). I was completely in love with UKG though, and I still to this day protest that it is a genre like no other. Want a steady warm up - play garage. Want something for the ladies with vocals - play garage. Want an MC to spit of a dirty beat - play garage. There's a tune for every occasion. Around age 21, life and a career got in the way and the vinyl went in the garage (no pun intended). Fast forward to about 2 and a half years ago. I got the itch again - some will call it a mid-life crisis. It was different world now though. It was no longer 2 turntables and a mixer. It was controllers, media players, CDJ’s, DVS systems, samplers, FX packs the lot. I started the scary journey into the digital age and I’ve never looked back. I have a decent set up now and half decent abilities to match. I’m still yet to play to a crowd of more than about 12 people….something I’m hoping to change very soon." Her first video was in 1998 with the hit "Money" featured on the Woo movie soundtrack. With collaborators such as Cam'ron and N.O.R.E., Baltimore recorded her debut album Cold as Ice which featured tracks like "Money", "Pimp Da 1 U Love", "N.B.C." and "Stand Up".After being delayed several times due to friction between Baltimore and the label, Cold as Ice was eventually released promotionally in 1999 (it was not actually made available to the general public until 2009, for digital download). After a five-year hiatus, she was signed to Murder Inc. Records (later renamed The Inc. Records) by CEO Irv Gotti. After constant album delays, she left the label. In 2006 she became affiliated with The Game and The Black Wall Street Records She was never signed to the label but appeared on mixtapes with the rest of the Black Wall Street dissing 50 Cent and his G-Unit.Baltimore has made appearances in songs such as "Down 4 U", "We Still Don't Give A F**k", and "No One Does It Better" from Irv Gotti Presents The Inc, Ja Rule tracks "Down Ass Bitch" and "The Last Temptation", the Christina Milian track "Spending Time" and Ashanti's "Rain On Me" (remix). In 2003, she earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Rap Solo Performance, for her single "Diary".I
Don't blink, because you might miss it. In an epic botch, we brought Tuck back not only to talk about the latest news of the week -- but to talk the world of wrestling post Hell in a Cell. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, the show was lost and we all looked like idiots nearly 90 minutes. No fear! There is an actual episode. Fresh off the iPhone as we were leaving the studio, we whipped out the iPhone to talk about exactly what happened, how it happened, why it happened -- and everything we talked about on the episode including the return of Jadakiss, Adele smashing everything in sight, Ja Rule's terrible Follow The Rules television show, whether Charli Baltimore is a good looking female rapper, and a ton of other things. Another bonus features Carlos & Jameel, live from the gutter (A Train), talking random stuff. Fun episode. Once again, sorry for the technical difficulties. Catch an old episode or something.

Even though she loved poetry her passion was to pursue music. After a very short period of time they realized she was a natural! Olivia was ready to pursue her dream of becoming a recording artist and a songwriter. Olivia’s reputation quickly landed her a meeting with an Arista executive who then introduced her to the legendary Clive Davis. He was so blown away by the 19 year old's vocal ability and raw talent that he decided to sign Olivia immediately as the first artist to his newly established label, J records. Although she greatly respected and admired Mr. Davis, her debut album caught the ear of many other music executives, including Jimmy Iovine, who enticed her to sign a new record deal at Interscope Records.
