In this episode, I sit down with the legendary Noreaga, a.k.a. N.O.R.E., the host of the world-famous Drink Champs podcast. Nore takes us on a wild journey through his early days in the rap game, from his humble beginnings in Queens to his rise to stardom with the classic album "The War Report." Nore shares incredible stories about the moments that shaped his career, the hard lessons he learned, and the hustle that kept him going. He keeps it real, raw, and unfiltered as he reflects on his path from the streets to the top of the charts. Throughout our conversation, Nore drops some serious knowledge about the music industry, staying true to yourself, and what it really takes to make it in the game. We dive deep into his experiences and the wisdom he's gained along the way. This is part one of our two-part conversation, and trust me, you're going to want to hear every minute of it. Nore's story is one of perseverance, dedication, and the unrelenting pursuit of his dreams. So sit back, relax, and get ready for an unforgettable episode with one of hip-hop's true icons. The crew talks the late Big Pun's debut classic Capital Punishment as it turns 25. After making waves in the underground and on the Beatnuts "Off the Books" the previous year, the Bronx-bred Puerto Rican emcee lead off with this massive debut. Touting a ferocious multisyllabic rhyme still dressed with punchlines, humor and swagger, he sought to achieve a first: become the first Latino rapper with an album sporting a platinum plaque. The album was produced by a capable committee producers including JuJu and V.I.C from the Beatnuts, Young Lord, Frank Nitty, Rocwilder, dead prez, RZA, Showbiz and others. The album had a healthy feature lineup including the likes of Black Thought, Prodigy, Inspectah Deck, R&B singers Miss Jones and Joe, Busta Rhymes, Noreaga and fellow Terror Squad members Fat Joe, Cuban Linx, Triple Seis and Armageddon.Powered by the three singles, including the crossover smash hit "Still Not A Player" featuring Joe, the album was certified platinum. It is often credited as the best hip-hop album produced by a Latino rapper and also noted as one of the best lyrical performances by an emcee on an album of the 1990s.Visit The Vault Classic Music Reviews Onlinewww.vaultclassicpod.comBuy Exclusive The Vault Podcast Merchandise!www.vaultclassicpod.com/storeSupport The Vault Classic Music Reviews on Buy Me A Coffeehttps://www.buymeacoffee.com/vaultclassicpodBuild Your Own Amazing Podcast Website In Less Than 5 Minutes!https://www.podpage.com/?via=ivecre8Show NotesAlbumism: Big Pun's Debut Album 'Capital Punishment Turns 20 | Anniversary Retrospectivehttps://albumism.com/features/big-pun-debut-album-capital-punishment-turns-20-anniversary-retrospectiveTheBoomBox: How Big Pun's 'Capital Punishment' Established Him As A Cultural Iconhttps://theboombox.com/big-pun-capital-punishment-established-cultural-icon/RockTheBells-Classic Albums: Big Pun "Capital Punishment" https://rockthebells.com/articles/classic-albums-capital-punishment-big-pun/Define A Revolution: Retrospective: Big Pun's "Capital Punishment" http://www.definearevolution.com/2016/04/retrospective-big-puns-capital.htmlSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-vault-classic-music-reviews-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Shoutout to Lefrak City, Queens, NY's own Saydadon for coming on my show for an interview! Saydadon talked about seeing Noreaga for the first time, how his label AGM came together, and his upcoming Hard in the Paint single. He discussed why radio DJ's are still important, how to generate income as an independent artist, and why 9 to 5's are a waste of time when you are pursuing a career as an artist. He got into having a connection to Africa, wanting to become an international artist, and 50 Cent's meaning of love your enemies and hate your friends in his throwback freestyle. Saydadon also talked about his project Sorry 4 Da Drought being inspired by Lil Wayne's No Ceilings, the importance of listening to the legends of Hip-Hop, and his major goals of 2023. Stay tuned! This could be the reason why Kanye West is being a fool that no one is talking about. N.O.R.E Noreaga is a little nigga for doing what he did after talking with Kanye on Drink Champs,
The mantra of Aryeh & Co is that "the quality of your dreams is never compromised." The Truth Tastes Funny credo is "Laugh. Survive. Thrive." And in this episode, the two philosophies meet, in the form of a conversation between Hersh and Aryeh Rephun. While father and son have gone into completely different businesses, they share a knack for working closely with clients to craft something special. In Aryeh's case, it's high-end jewelry with meaningful, personal expressions. Increasingly, his clients are coming to him with their own designs, and his team is rising to the challenge of making those visions a reality. Apologies for the background chatter, but this is as close as some listeners will come to the hallowed halls of the Diamond Dealers Club, midtown Manhattan's maximum-security business center (made famous in films from Marathon Man to Uncut Gems). More About Aryeh:In under five years, Aryeh has built a reputation as a go-to bespoke jeweler in NYC, creating pieces for a bevy of loyal clients and a growing number of high-profile names, including Prince JDC, and Noreaga. In a feature story, REVOLT magazine said that when looking for a partner they could trust in making custom pieces - including for Diddy himself - they knew Aryeh was “the man for the job.” DotCom Magazine included Aryeh & Co. on its Impact Company of The Year List For 2021, for making a difference as a privately owned company in “an incredibly unique” year. Canibus_ DMX _ Noreaga - Hot 97 freestyle RIP DMX. 27 minutes of FIRE!!! More like this at http://www.kurleedaddee.com
B. Cox commemorates Capone-N-Noreaga's debut album The War Report as it turns 25. In the midst of an identity crisis for New York rap, the two Queens natives arrived on the scene - unheralded, yet determined. After appearing the "Unsigned Hype" section of The Source Magazine in 1995, the duo was signed to a record label and began recording their debut. In the midst of recording, Capone was jailed for a parole violation, leaving Noreaga to finish the album. Assisted with features by the likes of Juice Crew veteran Tragedy Khadafi, Imam T.H.U.G, and Mobb Deep with a Who's Who's of hip-hop producers (Six July, Nashiem Myrick, Lord Finesse, Clark Kent, Marley Marl, Havoc, Naughty Shorts, EZ Elpee, Charlemagne), the album featured haunting, gritty and hypnotic beats over lyrics that told tales of street life and urban decay. The appeal of the group to underground and hardcore hip-hop fans alike lead to a cult success of the album. Despite no charting singles or widely circulated music videos, the album was certified gold. Since its release, it has been credited as an album that reasserted the identity and sound of New York hip-hop, laid the groundwork for the success of many who followed after it and has now been hailed as a classic - even from the most unlikely of circumstances.Visit The Vault Classic Music Reviews Onlinewww.vaultclassicpod.comSupport The Vault Classic Music Review on Buy Me A Coffeehttps://www.buymeacoffee.com/vaultclassicpodShow NotesAlbumism: Capone-N-Noreaga's Debut Album "The War Report" turns 25 | Anniversary Retrospectivehttps://albumism.com/features/tribute-celebrating-25-years-of-capone-n-noreaga-the-war-reportThe BoomBox: Capone-N-Noreaga's "The War Report" Brought Listeners to the Frontlines of the streetshttps://theboombox.com/capone-n-noreagas-the-war-report-20-years-later/Vibe: 20 Years Later: A Ranking of Capone-N-Noreaga's Classic Debut "The War Report" https://www.vibe.com/music/music-news/capone-n-noreaga-the-war-report-20-years-519554/WhatWentRight: What Went Right With...The War Report by Capone-N-Noreaga? https://whatwentrightwith.com/2017/06/17/what-went-right-with-the-war-report-by-capone-n-noreaga/Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/the-vault-classic-music-reviews-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

This is me just reading the tea leaves, but I wonder if tomorrow afternoon we might get some kind of Donda 2 update via the Stem Player. A new version of Pablo was played at the Doves game tonight, Noreaga mentioned having a different version of the album, and there's a special Stem Player pop up tomorrow. Fingers crossed! Noreaga posted a picture that has himself, Ye, The Game, Rhymefest, and Jack Harlow! Which seems to prove the theory that Jack was just in Miami, recording for Donda 2. Even though he immediately turned around and went to Cleveland for the NBA All-Star game. Wild! If you'd like to watch this in video form, then check out our YouTube channel. On this episode of ‘Grab A Glass', DT shares some gentle perspective on the Astroworld tragedy, tells Scottie Pippen a thing or two, and discusses why it's wrong to call Kanye West crazy.
Some Dude's should have the confidence that rapper Noreaga has in his 1998. N.O.R.E. believes he was the most popular rapper in the same year DMX released 2 number 1 albums and a hit movie. Maybe Scottie Pippen should have that same confidence. Some Dude breaks down excerpts from Scottie's new book "Unguarded" and comments regarding Michael Jordan. Does Scottie believe he's Scottie Pippen? Last, Jay-Z thanks Damon Dash at this Hall of Fame ceremony. Is there a chance for a reunion? #LHHMiami #LHH #TheUrbanBinge #RiBelTV Love & Hip Hop Miami Season 4 | +MUCH MORE All Things Love & Hip Hop Miami S4 EP 11 Hurricane Ida was a deadly and destructive Category 4 Atlantic hurricane that became the second-most damaging and intense hurricane to strike the U.S. state of Louisiana on record, behind Hurricane Katrina, and is tied for the strongest landfall in the state by maximum winds with Hurricane Laura a year before and the 1856 Last Island hurricane. The storm also caused catastrophic flooding across the Northeastern United States. Ida is the sixth-costliest tropical cyclone on record, having caused at least $50.1 billion (2021 USD) in damages,[1][2] of which $18 billion was in insured losses in Louisiana, and of which $100 million was in Cuba, surpassing Hurricane Ike of 2008. CoreLogic estimated that Ida caused an estimated $16 to 24 billion in flooding damage in the Northeastern United States, making it the costliest storm to hit the region since Hurricane Sandy in 2012.[3] The ninth named storm, fourth hurricane, and second major hurricane of the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season, Ida originated from a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea on August 23. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Ida After over a year long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show was retooled for season four, with only Trina, Amara, Trick and Sukihana returning to the main cast. New cast members include Ace Hood and his wife Shelah Marie, Noreaga and his wife Neri, and Florence El Luche. Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood's Ray J makes a crossover appearance. Funky Dineva is a gossip blogger and social media personality. He first appears in the audience at the first season reunion of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and as a commentator in the specials Dirty Little Secrets and 40 Greatest Love & Hip Hop Moments. He also interviews Traci Steele and DJ Babey Drew in a promo video for season two. Funky appears in three episodes of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: After Party Live!, skyping into the show to give his thoughts on the night's episode. After a heated on-air confrontation with Joseline, in which she calls him a "cucaracha" and "the help" and threatens to take his wig off on Peter Street, he is not seen again. Funky would continue to review episodes of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta for his YouTube channel, being very critical of the show's later seasons.
