A non-profit webinar initiative entitled ‘Open Door' was held on Friday 1st April 2022 to raise awareness for the various projects providing accommodation solutions to aid the grave Ukrainian refugee crisis currently affecting many European states. The hospitality sector is already supporting the refugee crisis in numerous ways and the webinar brought together representatives from several initiatives to talk about their projects, discuss the challenges they face, and to identify how others can help and contribute. In this session of the Hospitality Resilience Series, we explore what sets a static leadership style apart from a dynamic leadership style and what techniques and tactics are employed in both styles on a personal level and with our surroundings, social and corporate. History shows Leadership has long been static and rigid. However, and as current events have proven, a static leadership style is destined to become obsolete. Now, more than ever, the structure of an organization, its strategy, culture and especially its leadership, need to be dynamic, subtle and tangible. Our special guest on this session, Patrick Ghielmetti, explains why the two styles of leadership are so different and what impact they may have on our daily life. Using real-life examples, he sets the scene for everyone to be able to relate and use these techniques in order to embark on a journey of personal development and inner-resilience.About our guest:Patrick Ghielmetti, President of Ghielmetti & Associates, is a Global experiential leadership trainer and behavior-based executive coach, has experience in 35 countries as a facilitator of dynamic, transformational, experiential leadership programs. Welcome to the fourth installment of the Hospitality Resilience Series . Jonathan Humphries , Chris Mumford and Jon Hazan are joined by Yadid Ayzenberg, Global head of Sleep devices and Director at BOSE Corporation . In this session on The Future of Sleep, Yadid introduces us to the importance of sleep and its effects on our health and performance in the short and long term. A person needs to have a good sleep cycle in order to be optimally productive. Whether you can train your body and mind to need less sleep is but a myth. So many misconceptions exist around sleep but here's what you need to do to develop good habits and get a better night's sleep. Yadid also introduces us to the Sleepbuds II: Bose's new wireless earbuds that deliver relaxing sounds to help you fall asleep and use Bose noise-masking technology to keep you asleep. Nowadays, the hospitality sector is enduring huge adversity and is faced with a long challenging road ahead. This environment is placing new burdens and strains on leadership and bringing the need for personal resilience and inner immunity into sharp focus. Sleep is one of the pillars of resilience we decided to look into. It is defined as a dynamic activity and in order to fully understand the brain, we need to first understand sleep and its effect on the body and mind. Also, Sleep is the hospitality sector's main product offering and the industry would benefit greatly from understanding it. About Yadid Ayzenberg:Yadid Ayzenberg, Global head of Sleep devices and Director at BOSE Corporation an industry-leading audio equipment technology company, determined to bring about quality, performance, and design in its innovative products. He leads the firms’ Sleep products business and is focused on bringing product innovation to hundreds of millions who struggle from sleep issues. An entrepreneur, with over 20 years experience in product development, his team recently launched the SleepbudsTM II: wireless earbuds that deliver relaxing sounds to help you fall asleep and use Bose noise-masking technology to keep you asleep. Matchday 25 seems like where we are more of the same, but with some twists. We do a deep dive on Chelsea hitting a speed bump while Southampton has lost its mojo. Everton is partying like it's 1999 while West Ham regains the title of London's finest. Leicester and Man United take care of business for title of second best while Man City bosses Arsenal . Matchday 24 seems like we have hit an inflection point where we are deja vu all over again. Almost a super league within a league. ManCity looks unbeatable even without Aguero and KDB. ManUnited is perceived to be underperforming even though they are in 2nd place. Will Leciester have the staying power after beating up on the once-mighty Liverpool? And Moyes has got West Ham as the I-think-I-can locomotive and tops in London. Ah, Chelsea just stole the dream away. We do a deep dive on the hopes, failings and any potential resurrections. Chris Darwen and Chris Mumford chat about the upcoming matches of note: Leicester-Liverpool, ManCity-Tottenham, Brighton-Aston Villa, Southampton-Wolves and Arsenal-Leeds. Does Leeds and Brighton show you can be mid table and be mid table.? We prognosticate and deliberate from a chilly Chapel Hill and sun-dappled Alicante.
Matchday 22-23 is when the dust is starting to settle. The league slammed yet another 20 matches during 7 days. Is the league settled at the top and bottom? Is it time to focus on Champions League and Europe spots? We do a deep dive on the title hopes, recent failings and resurrections. We review the Liverpool vs Man City game from a tactical perspective and from a player/s view. We discuss the dimming prospects of London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal.
