There will be things that threaten to quench the Spirit of God in your life. There will be circumstances, experiences, interactions, seasons, and relationships that threaten to rob you of the joy that God has prepared for you, but today as we enter this Thanksgiving week we wanted to encourage your heart and remind you that we serve a Good, Faithful, Loving, and Consistent Father who is a God of Healing, Restoration, Redemption, and Provision. Therefore, joining us today on the podcast to share his testimony is a man who understands the power of praise, Micah Tyler. Micah is a renowned Christian singer, songwriter, and worship leader who has countless accolades, awards, and chart-topping songs, but what I love most about Micah is his unwavering devotion to the Lord, his wife Casey, and his 3 beautiful children. Ben grew up on a dairy farm, and said that Jesus was pretty much a “cuss word” in his house growing up. He lived a life apart from Christ for many years of his life, until about 3.5 years ago when he finally surrendered everything he had to Christ and also switched from country music to Christian Music. In 2013 she came to Los Angeles from her hometown of Andes, NY to pursue acting. As soon as she arrived, the hunger of God increased. One day this hunger led her to experience the power of God through the ministry of a Prophet; opening her eyes to the fact that God does miracles today. This encounter led her to fully surrender to God and she was changed forever; set on fire. Her heart burned for people to experience the power of God here in America. “There's something intrinsic about humanity and a survival instinct. Most of us will do whatever we can to keep our head above water, to take one more breath in and out…to keep breathing and keep our heart beating.But God's intent for His children, His creation, wasn't limited to survival. He intends for us to thrive. “I have come that you may have life to the full.” (John 10:10).For Natasha Owens that verse isn't merely a comfort or a pick-me-up… It's a decree. A mantra for life…and it is the very thing that has turned her darkest days into a light that is too bright not to share.“Life is hard and heartache, tragedy and loss aren't selective or rare. But for many people, as soon as they make it through the given crisis, they stop there. They stagnate,” she says, reflecting on her own season of loss and the dark days when all she could do was breathe in and out.A few years ago, Natasha's father, 58 at the time, was doing a simple task he'd done hundreds of times before. There was no drama. There was no build up. There was no warning. While cleaning his guns one day, one misfired, placing a bullet in his chest. He died soon thereafter.“After the shock wore off, the depression set in,” she shares. “For some reason, our pastor came to me and said he thought I should be the music minister at the church.”Even now, the memory of that conversation stirs a small laugh of disbelief.“I couldn't even get out of bed every day,” she says. “How could I get up and motivate anyone else?”After a lot of time in prayer, alongside her husband, Natasha accepted the position. Soon, the music, the mission and the ministry captivated her heart. It stole away the listlessness and confusion and hopelessness. Week after week, as she poured herself into the music of the church, thereby pouring herself into the lives of all who comprised that church body, the Holy Spirit poured into her a peace, a reassurance and a drive to take this opportunity even further than she could have imagined.“Sometimes you have to pour out to other people,” she says. “You have to pour out in faith. That's when and how you get your healing. I took the music minister position and while it was still a long process of climbing out of the depression, I was so focused on songs, it stopped the spiral. It took time, but the music held me. The songs gave me strength enough to get out of bed.”Unbeknownst to Natasha at the time, those songs lent more than strength. They laid the foundation for what would become the next chapter in her heart, her healing and her ministry. Vacillating between the church platform and a writer's room, Natasha soon had another collection of songs; songs of restoration, hope and peace. At the prompting of a friend she took her music into the recording studio and created her first full-length project. It didn't take long for the album to circulate within the music industry, opening doors left and right. The brand-new recording artist landed an opening slot for CCM icon, Michael W. Smith. She was invited to tour with Dove Award Artist of the Year recipient, Jason Crabb. She shared the stage with Sanctus Real.With each new opportunity came another chance for Natasha to share her heart, her message and her hero. The songs that had been her healing, her comfort and her restoration were becoming that very thing to people around the world. By all accounts, she had succeeded and overcome. More accurately, she had allowed the God whose love burned through the darkness to be her victor. Victory after victory, her own stagnation began to give. She wasn't just surviving anymore. She was beginning to thrive.That's precisely the point that her new album found its genesis.

Our guest for this edition of the Ron King Show is Sandy Lusco Huffman, a seasoned Christian/Country singer-songwriter now living in rural New Freeport, PA,  just over the state line from West Virginia. Sandy started out singing and performing in school when she was very young in Pittsburgh and by the time she was a teenager she was opening up for top country artists, such as Ronnie Milsap, on  the WWVA Radio Jamboree in Wheeling, West Virginia. (The Jamboree could be heard at night on WWVA radio in 16 states and parts of Canada at that time.) Sandy also got to perform at "Jamboree In The Hills" where most of the top Nashville country acts of the day performed. However, as Sandy entered her twenty's she began to feel that, even though she still loved music and performing, the type of compromising life style that sometimes went with it all was just not what Sandy was looking for.  So, give a listen to Sandy's story and see how it all turned out. Randy Seedorff has been writing and performing for over 30 years, with his interest in music starting at the young age of 11 when his mother gave him his first guitar. A veteran singer, and songwriter, Randy comes from a musical family with a strong heritage in country music. In 1992 Randy joined the popular Kansas City based bluegrass group Greenside Up as its lead singer and guitarist and performed with them until 1999. During that time he fell victim to an armed robbery that profoundly changed his life. The experience turned his full attention to both his life and music, and he rededicated himself to serving God. Randy founded the group Soul Purpose in 2010. They released their studio album Rearview Mirror, produced by Larry Gann of Awe Struck Studios in 2014. Randy released his 7 track EP, Elevate, in 2017. The first two releases from that project reached number 1 on Christian Radio Charts. Randy serves as pastor of worship and discipleship at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Independence, MO. Soul Purpose plays frequently at churches, festivals and other events, bringing the love of God, through the vehicle of music to as many people as possible. This encounter led her to fully surrender to God and she was changed forever; set on fire. Her heart burned for people to experience the power of God here in America. She would pray "God, may all of your people receive true anointing, and experience prophetic ministry like I have, so they can be set on fire!" Apostle Kathryn was pursuing a career as a Christian Singer/Songwriter at the time. 9 months after encountering God's power she attended a conference where God used a prophet to say, "I have called you to be an Apostle of Jesus Christ. You are called to reach the nations." Upon hearing that word she felt like Moses (unqualified, unable to speak, and unable to picture herself ministering), but she had faith that God would equip her. She obeyed God's call and put her music career pursuit aside. With the leading of the Holy Spirit, she launched a ministry in Los Angeles; beginning with church services on a mountain in Mulholland Drive (2017). God led her to launch Five-Fold Church with the mandate of bringing revival to America through the five-fold ministries. Christa Deána (Duh-nay) is a Christian Singer/Songwriter from Philadelphia who sings with conviction and power. Her songs speak to the journey of a woman after God's own heart. Each song is deeply rooted in a personal, yet extremely vulnerable relationship with God. It's the beauty and emotion in her voice and the candor in her lyrics that help inspire others to go all the way, every day, with God. Dedicating herself to music as a child, she won first place in the Young Artist Competition for the city of Allentown, PA. A gifted writer, Christa Deana performed her first original song at 11 and went on to write over 50 more. Her vocal ability also developed young, securing her lead oratorios from classics such as Handel's Messiah, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Vivaldi's Gloria, and lead songs in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance. In addition to writing and singing, she has toured with several choirs that took her to Romania, Turkey, France, Spain, England, and all over the US. During this journey she found a love for conducting and excelled as a choir director for several choirs. She has worked with The Lesser Light Collective as a soloist, writer, and conductor, directing the choir for their performance at Washington Adventist University. Christa Deána inherited perfect pitch, excellent natural timing, a powerful vocal instrument and a creative soul. But she's been diligent to cultivate her gifts, obtaining her music education degree from the University of Valley Forge. Not content to simply make her own music, she pulls beautiful music out of her students and collaborators. She is currently a music educator and worship leader at various facilities and churches. She is also the co-owner for ChristaCourt Productions.
