Reverend Jim Harden is president and CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services in New York. Theirs is one of many centers targeted with criminal activity including firebombs, vandalism and threats. From the American Civil War to Afghanistan, it's estimated we lost 1,122,422 lives. Take that number and multiply it by 59. Why? That's the number of deaths that have occurred during the war on the unborn. That's over 66 million purposeful deaths due to abortion and it's increasing by the second. In response, Reverend Harden has just opened two state of the art, pro-life medical offices last week into the two largest abortion hubs in America: Brooklyn and the Bronx. Why is this significant? It's because it's been reported that Brooklyn and the Bronx have the highest number of abortions of any counties in the nation. Looking at it more broadly, Reverend Harden noted that the state of New York is the abortion capital of the U.S. More abortions take place there, per-capita, than in any other state, while New York City is the headquarters for the abortion industry nationwide. It's the home of Planned Parenthood (estimated to be responsible for 40% of all U.S. abortions) and Danco Laboratories (responsible for chemical abortions). So Brooklyn is number one in terms of abortion numbers with the Bronx at number two with 11,000 abortions. Another way to view it is the fact that there are 87 abortionists in the New York City metro area. On the other hand, CompassCare's new offices in these locations represent the only pro-life, medical alternative for women.

Reverend Jim Harden is president and CEO of CompassCare Pregnancy Services in New York. His own center was targeted by abortion terrorism.--Two years ago today, the U.S. Supreme Court released their decision in the case known as Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization. This reversed the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. You may recall that when the Dobbs decision was initially leaked, pro-life and pro-family agencies were targeted with firebombs and other forms of violence. One of those targeted was CompassCare Pregnancy Services in Buffalo, New York.--Reverend Harden clarified a very important point up front. He noted that the Dobbs decision did not make abortion illegal. It simply gave the states the right to regulate the procedures. It also galvanized pro-abortion extremists to their cause. The result was that at least 500 pro-life entities were attacked. There was also the weaponization of legislation whereby blue states passed legislation to regulate and-or outlaw certain aspects of pro-life pregnancy care work.--All of this points to the fact that the battle over life is intensifying. So as you review this broadcast you'll hear about the pro-abortion propaganda effort, the medical malpractice of the abortion industry and the death it's causing, the status of the firebombing incident at CompassCare in New York, the hoarding of Mifepristone by Democrat governors and so much more.

It's Thursday, November 24th, A.D. 2023. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) Christian Ugandans, who called Muhammad false prophet, beaten by angry Muslims Two Christians in eastern Uganda were hospitalized after hardline Muslims beat them for their Christian evangelism during a Christian-Muslim debate, reports Morning Star News. Musa Kirongosa, age 32, and Swidiki Buyinza, age 27, from the Kaliro District, were the first to speak at the Christian-Muslim dialogue organized by Muslims on November 13th in the town of Bulumba. Using both the Bible and the Koran, they argued that Muhammad was a false prophet. Musa asserted, “Truth is only found in Christ Jesus as the one and the only Savior for mankind.” Angry Muslims in attendance grew rowdy before the two Christians had finished, forcing them to flee and go into hiding at the nearby home of a Christian. Some of the Muslims rushed ahead to block the road leading out of the area, and about two hours later, at around 7 p.m. when the area was vacated and quiet, the two Christians thought it was safe to leave. Swidiki said, “When we left around 7:30pm on our motorcycle, just a few kilometers along the Bulumba road, we were stopped by Buruhan Musobya, a well-known Muslim extremist, and six other Muslims. They began shouting, ‘Allah Akbar [God is Greater], these are the enemies of our prophet, Muhammad, as well as our religion. Kafir [Infidels]! Kafir!” The assailants broke their motorcycle to pieces and tore up their Bibles and other Christian literature. Swidiki added, “Thereafter, they started beating us badly with blunt objects that led to the fracturing of Musa's right leg. Two of the attackers held me tightly and beat me with sticks as four others were beating Musa and stepping on him while he was lying down in the middle of the road.” Providentially, a taxi driver flashed his headlights, and the attackers fled. The taxi stopped and passengers got out, including a pastor from the town of Kaliro who recognized Kirongosa and took the two Christians to a hospital there. Swidiki said he was discharged after spending one night in the hospital, but that Musa received treatment there for five days. Biden's popularity sinks, Trump's soars amid Israel's war in Gaza President Joe Biden has quickly lost popularity amid the Israel-Hamas war, reaching the lowest levels since he took the presidency, according to an NBC News poll, reports the Jerusalem Post. Biden's popularity of only 40% now falls behind that of former President Donald Trump's support. NBC attributes the drop in popularity to Biden's unpopular decisions on the Israel-Hamas war.  Most of the disapproval has been sourced to Democratic voters, of whom 70% said that they disagreed with Biden's handling of the war. Christian rocker John Cooper condemns wimpy wokeness John Cooper, the lead singer of the Christian rock band Skillet, targets woke Christianity in his new book. The book is entitled Wimpy, Weak, And Woke: How Truth Can Save America From Utopian Destruction. He warns that secular philosophies are seeping into the church, reports The Christian Post. Cooper said, "If there's anything that's clear to me, there is a revolution to tear down American society; the entire structures of this system. But it's not really about tearing down America, it's about tearing down the underpinnings of what built America, Christian civilization. There is a revolution to tear down Christianity, the reflection of Christ in any of our cultures, our traditions, our sexual mores, our theology, our culture. Our everything!” Wimpy, Weak, and Woke details two divergent paths: One is a secular utopian vision of the future. The other divergent side is going to be the principles of the kingdom of God. He said, "A side message of that is written to the Church because I think that what we're seeing now is a lot of these secular utopian ideas are seeping into the Christian Church, into Christian theology. And I think we have a lot of church leaders, who I believe are men of utopia disguised as men of the Kingdom.” Cooper said far too many Christians are "weak theologically, philosophically. We have not done our homework and we don't even recognize the difference between the Kingdom of God and secular utopia. I noticed that in 2020. We are wimpy because we feel like we have to apologize for the character of God, with His moral impositions.” He assured believers that they “don't need to apologize.” Cooper concluded, “The Bible says, we are supposed to love what God loves and hate what God hates. Louis Berkhof, the theologian, says: ‘Hating evil is just the flip side of loving righteousness.'” In Revelation 3:15-16, God warns, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of My mouth.” Pro-life hero Chris Slattery met his Maker And finally, Chris Slattery, a 40-year-long pro-life pioneer, died on Wednesday, November 22nd at Calvary Hospice in Bronx, New York at the age of 68, reports CompassCare. Six years after the legalization of abortion, he began blazing the trail to save lives in the American abortion capital of New York City. Using his advertising expertise acquired at Boston College, Chris founded the pregnancy center network, Expectant Mother Care, later known as EMC Frontline with 14 locations throughout the five-borough area.  Those pregnancy centers helped save over 43,000 children from abortion, and have counseled over 150,000 women. He said, “The most precious beings in the world are human beings, made in [God's] likeness and image, with an eternal soul.” Chris' pioneering spirit gave rise to the use of ultrasound scans in 1986, 20 years before most pregnancy centers ever considered using the technology. He even took imaging to the streets with mobile medical vans, now so popular nationwide. Ultrasound imaging provides a woman considering abortion with true informed consent, both confirming a woman's pregnancy while humanizing the child to help her fully understand the detrimental and dangerous impact of abortion for both her and her preborn baby. Chris was quick to point out, “It's not just about saving the babies. It's saving the mother's soul, helping her to fulfill her mission in life.” In his later years, Chris became enemy number one for the abortion empire, headquartered in Manhattan, as well as pro-abortion politicians seeking to protect their pet industry. Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.” In the case of Chris Slattery, Heaven's gain is truly Earth's loss. What You Need to Know is lawfare is not shrinking as it gets exposed; it's growing. Vice President Harris is bragging about the prosecution of January 6 protestors, including Enrique Tarrio (who did not step foot inside the Capitol), while ignoring the crimes and corruption of President Biden and his son. The system is rigged in favor of the Democrats, and they continue to use lawfare to hold conservatives accountable while the left has no accountability at all. Christina Bobb, journalist, attorney for President Trump, and author of Stealing Your Vote: The Inside Story of the 2020 Election and What It Means for 2024, joins Ed to discuss the stealing of the 2020 election and the advantaged position that the Democrats have. According to Christina, the Democrats have had to double down over the last few years against Trump with narratives like January 6th and the indictment. The more Democrats push this narrative, Christina tells Ed, the more likely it is to break. Rev. Jim Harden, President/CEO of CompassCare, joins Ed on the Pro America Report to talk about how “money follows morality,” as Rev. Harden says, which describes the importance of moral matters in political action. Ed and Rev. Harden also talk about how, even after the firebombing of CompassCare, peaceful pro-life protestors are being arrested. In the face of this persecution of the pro-life movement, Rev. Harden emphasizes the importance of standing up for what is right. Wrap Up: Senator Rand Paul deserves to be appreciated for all that he has done for this country. Pro-abortion forces have moved from physically attacking pro-life pregnancy care centers to weaponizing legislation against them, according to the Rev. Jim Harden. INTERVIEW: In recent months, “we started to see an ebb in the violent attacks against pro-life entities and a rise in potential weaponization of legislation specifically targeting pro-life activity in the public square, and specifically even more so pregnancy center activity,” says Harden, CEO of the pro-life New York-based organization CompassCare. In Illinois for example, Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed a bill "specifically giving the attorney general in Illinois the … unfettered ability to define what 'deceptive practices' means and what 'misinformation' means when it comes to the activities and speech of pro-life pregnancy centers,” Harden says. Violating the law “comes with $50,000 fines for each occurrence [of spreading misinformation] as they define it,” Harden said. Harden joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain the ways in which pro-abortion activists are using legislation to target pro-life centers, and to offer advice to these pro-life organizations as to what they can do to protect themselves so they can continue serving the women and babies who need them. I'm Adam McManus.  (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Afghanistan instability caused 3,700 civilian casualties Ongoing instability in Afghanistan led to 1,095 civilians killed and 2,679 wounded between August 2021 and May 2023, according to a report from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan. More than 700 of the civilian deaths were caused by improvised explosive devices occurring in public places such as mosques, education centers, and commercial markets.  The Islamic State was responsible for over 1,700 of these civilians being killed or injured. Despite the total collapse of the U.S.-backed Afghan government to Taliban forces and an attack perpetrated by ISIS-Khorasn Province that killed 13 U.S. military personnel, President Joe Biden ordered the U.S. forces to completely withdraw from Afghanistan in August 2021. France deploys 'armored military vehicles' to combat nationwide riots (Sound of machine gun fire) That's the sound of machine gun fire shot by roving immigrant gangs in France which threatens the largely unarmed French citizenry. ZeroHedge.com reports that France has deployed “Armored Military Vehicles” to combat nationwide riots. President Emmanuel Macron's government struggles to contain social unrest across the country.  French interior minister, Gérald Darmanin, said overnight chaos has resulted in 2,000 cars burned, 500 buildings damaged, hundreds of businesses looted, and violent clashes with police. He said over 800 people were arrested, with nearly 250 officers injured.  A conservative Twitter account, named Amuse, tweeted, “France opened its borders to culturally diverse immigrants who have largely failed to assimilate. Frustrated, they are going to war against French society.” 17% more abortions in England and Wales According to the new official statistics by the UK Department of Health & Social Care, there were 123,219 abortions  of residents in England and Wales between January and June 2022, reports Evangelical Focus. This was a 17% increase from the same period in 2021 (105,488), and equates to over 680 abortions every day. Proverbs 31:8 reminds us to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” American intelligence reveals more pro-abortion violence expected Rev. Jim Harden is the founder of a New York crisis pregnancy center, CompassCare, which was firebombed by pro-abortion terrorists last year when the Dobbs Supreme Court decision was leaked. His pro-life center was one of 90 similar centers which were targeted.  In light of the recent first anniversary on June 24th of the Supreme Court decision to overturned Roe v. Wade, Harden talked to The Worldview about American intelligence about future violence expected from the pro-aborts. HARDEN:  “We know there's going to be more violence ahead targeting pro-life pregnancy centers because on May 24 the Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin from the National Terrorism Advisory System warning of more violence one year after the pro-abortion Kristallnacht was sparked by the illegal leak of the Supreme Court decision Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health. “The bulletin that the [Department of Homeland Security] sent out reads, ‘Factors that could mobilize individuals to commit violence include judicial decisions pertaining to socio-political issues. Likely targets of potential violence, include faith-based institutions.' So, the translation here is that judicial decisions pertaining to socio-political issues refers to the Dobbs anniversary, which is June 24th, and the Fifth Circuit's potential overturning of the FDA's illegal approval of the dangerous chemical abortion drug, mifepristone. Those two things are animating left-wing, pro-abortion extremists.” Supreme Court blocks Biden's $430 billion student loan forgiveness In a 6-3 decision, the U.S Supreme Court handed President Joe Biden a painful defeat on Friday, blocking his plan to cancel $430 billion in student loan debt -- a move that had been intended to benefit up to 43 million Americans, reports Reuters. The court sided with six conservative-leaning states - Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and South Carolina - that objected to Biden's student loan forgiveness. Its ruling dealt a blow to the 26 million borrowers who simply did not want to repay the student loans that they themselves initiated after Biden announced the plan in August 2022. Chief Justice John Roberts said that such broad action would require clear congressional approval. Under Biden's plan, the U.S. government was going to forgive up to $10,000 in federal student debt for Americans making under $125,000 who obtained loans to pay for college and other post-secondary education. And Uncle Sam was going to forgive $20,000 of student debt for Pell grants to students from lower-income families. Supreme Court vacates $135,000 fine against Christian bakers And finally, the United States Supreme Court vacated a lower court decision against a Christian couple in Oregon who were punished for not making a cake for a lesbian wedding, reports The Christian Post. In 2013, the owners of Sweetcakes by Melissa, Aaron and Melissa Klein cited their Christian belief that marriage is between one man and one woman. In response, the lesbians filed a complaint with the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, in which the government entity concluded that the Kleins had violated the state's accommodations law.  That led to a whopping $135,000 fine against the Kleins, forcing them to close their bakery. In 2016, the Kleins appealed the ruling, but the Oregon Court of Appeals upheld the order in 2018.  That's when the Christian couple first appealed to the Supreme Court. In the Supreme Court's recent decision handed down Friday, Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote that “the opportunity to think for ourselves and to express those thoughts freely is among our most cherished liberties and part of what keeps our Republic strong.” First Liberty President Kelley Shackleford, who represented the Kleins said, “It's a win when the Supreme Court vacates a bad lower court decision like it did for Aaron and Melissa today, but the case is not over. The Kleins have been fighting for the First Amendment for over a decade and we will stand with them no matter how long it takes to get the victory they deserve.” When Jesus was questioned about marriage by the Pharisees, He asked, “Haven't you read that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,' and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'” (Matthew 19:4-5) Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Monday, July 3rd in the year of our Lord 2023. Subscribe by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Ugandan Muslim relatives kill pastor over his evangelism Morning Star News reports that Muslim relatives of a pastor in eastern Uganda killed him on March 10th for his Christian faith. Pastor Adinani Bulwa had been preaching to family members, some of whom converted to Christianity. But his brother resisted and warned him to stop sharing the Gospel.  Bulwa's wife, Zabiina, said, “Two weeks later my husband was invited to attend a family meeting, where he was pressured to recant the Christian faith, but he said he was ready to die for Christ's sake.” After the meeting, relatives forced Bulwa out of his home before killing him. He leaves behind five children. Zabiina and the children had to flee their home. She said, “We need prayers so that God may guide us on what to do next.” British preacher vindicated Christian Concern reports that a British judge overturned the conviction of a Christian street preacher earlier this month. Police arrested Dave McConnell in England back in 2021 for allegedly “misgendering” a member of the public. Before that, the preacher had been assaulted, abused, and had his belongings stolen while preaching. Dave was also reported as a potential “terrorist.” The street preacher successfully appealed his conviction this month. Dave welcomed the legal victory, saying, “Jesus told Christians to expect persecution. … I am determined to continue my ministry. … Jesus changed my life as a young man, and I am passionate about engaging people with the hope that made such a difference to me.” In 2 Timothy 3:12-14, Paul wrote, “Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it.” Bank of England raised interest rates Last Thursday, the Bank of England raised interest rates by 25 basis points to 4.25%. The central bank is trying to reduce inflation. In February, the U.K.'s inflation unexpectedly surged to an annual 10.4% Meanwhile, in the U.S., the Federal Reserve raised interest rates last week to nearly 5%. It's the ninth time in a row the Fed has raised rates in an attempt to stifle inflation. U.S. annual inflation was 6% in February, down from nearly 10% last June, but still above the Fed's target of 2%. U.S. bank customers withdrew $100 billion After several recent bank failures in the U.S., Federal Reserve data found customers pulled nearly $100 billion from their bank accounts for the week ending March 15. Small banks were hit the hardest by the pullouts. Outflows from smaller banks reached $120 billion while large banks received deposit increases of $67 billion. Pro-abortion woman arrested for vandalism New York police arrested a woman last week on charges of vandalizing a pro-life pregnancy center near Buffalo on March 16. CompassCare runs the pregnancy center as well as several other locations across the state. The recent attack follows an attack last year on the same location. Pro-abortion activists firebombed the center, causing about half a million dollars in damage. Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the first attack. Pastor Jim Harden with CompassCare said, "We've been saying all along that the FBI possesses this kind of forensic power, but has chosen not to employ it on behalf of pro-life people when victimized by pro-abortion Maoist  Antifa.” Poll: Traditional values like patriotism and religion have plunged And finally, a new poll from the Wall Street Journal found that only 39% of Americans say faith is a top priority. That's down from 62% in 1998. Older people were more likely than younger people to say religious beliefs were important. Other values that have fallen in importance for Americans include patriotism, community involvement, and raising children. However, the study did identify one value that has grown in importance over the last 25 years—the love of money, reports the New York Post. The significance of money has risen from 31% to 43%.   In Mark 4:19, Jesus warned of seeds sown among thorns. He said, “But the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things enter in and choke the Word, and it proves unfruitful. The leaders of the pregnancy help center CompassCare in Buffalo, New York, were concerned they might face another attack amid court proceedings over access to abortion pills. The Rev. Jim Harden, CompassCare CEO, contacted the FBI in February raising those concerns. He says the FBI failed to answer him."I asked the FBI," Harden said, "if they were going to be issuing any kind of threat alert to Christian pro-life people and organizations, and whether or not they're going to be adding protection, security protection to that judge [handling the abortion pill case]. They did not respond." On Wednesday, CompassCare was attacked for the second time within the past nine months. Around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, surveillance footage shows an individual wearing a hoodie walk up to the front of the pregnancy center and spray paint the word “Liars” over the CompassCare sign. The individual then turns and walks away back down the street. “This fits the definitions of domestic terror," Harden said, adding: “Those in the FBI and DOJ who refuse to treat it as such need to be fired and investigated." This was the second pro-abortion attack CompassCare has faced. In June, the radical pro-abortion group Jane's Revenge took responsibility for firebombing the pro-life center and spray painting the words “Jane was here” on the side of the building. The FACE Act, or the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, prohibits the intentional destruction or damage of reproductive health care facilities, which includes both abortion facilities and pregnancy centers.President Joe Biden's DOJ charged 26 pro-life activists with FACE Act violations in 2022, but did not charge any pro-abortion activist with FACE Act charges last year, despite Catholic Vote trackers reporting more than 100 apparent pro-abortion attacks on pro-life pregnancy resource centers and churches across the nation. Harden joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain why he thinks Biden's DOJ and the FBI have failed to take action against those who are attacking pro-life organizations and churches. This is Garrison Hardie with your CrossPolitic Daily Newsbrief for Thursday, January 12th, 2022. We’ve got a lot of news to get to folks, so let’s get right to it. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/democrats-vote-against-bill-requiring-medical-care-babies-born-alive-abortion-attempt 210 Democrats vote against bill requiring medical care for babies born alive after abortion attempt Nearly every House Democrat on Wednesday voted against legislation that would require immediate medical attention for babies who are born alive after an attempt was made to abort them. The House passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which says any infant born alive after an attempted abortion is a "legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States." Doctors would be required to care for those infants as a "reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive." The bill passed 220-210, and all 210 of the "no" votes came from Democrats. Only one Democrat voted for the bill — Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas — and one other Democrat, Rep. Vicente Gonzalez of Texas, voted "present." Following that level of care, doctors would be required admit those infants to a hospital for further care. Any violation of this standard would result in fines and imprisonment for up to five years, or both. Republicans argued on the floor that comments from Virginia’s former Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam are an example of why the law needs to be clarified to protect newborn infants who survive abortions. Northam was talking about third-trimester abortions and appeared to indicate support for delivering babies that might still be alive before taking their life outside the womb. "We all know in 2019, then-Gov. Northam of the state of Virginia stated this: 'The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,'" said Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio. "The cavalier attitude he displayed towards human life is just wrong," Jordan said. "It is simple. Infants born alive following an abortion are kids, are children. All newborns deserve the same level of care." Nonetheless, Democrats overwhelmingly rejected the bill. Some, like Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., argued that the bill would set up new requirements that would "directly interfere with the doctors’ medical judgment and dictate a medical standard of care that may not be appropriate in all circumstances." He and other Democrats said the requirement to eventually take infants who survive abortion to a hospital may not be in the best interest of the family. Some Democrats said the bill is unnecessary because it is already illegal to kill newborn infants, but Republicans accused Democrats of opposing the legislation to further their radical agenda of abortion on demand. https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2023/01/11/breaking-faa-grounds-all-outbound-domestic-flights-as-system-crashes-n523027 FAA grounds all outbound domestic flights as system crashes; Update: FAA lifts ground stop As of this writing, the FAA has grounded all outbound domestic flights until at least 9 am ET. It may take longer than that to restore service to its NOTAM system, the on-line platform that all commercial and military pilots must consult before taking off. The disruption began hours earlier, and the FAA has apparently struggled to overcome it. Savannah Guthrie calls it a “sweeping outage,” and it will almost certainly impact flights for hours even after the FAA restores it: https://twitter.com/i/status/1613145694923096065 - Play Video The FAA lifted the national ground stop a few minutes ago, but it’s not clear whether the NOTAM system has been fully restored or they’re using work-arounds. They reopened two airports without out NOTAM due to “air congestion” prior to ending the ground stop: Well over 500 flights got cancelled this morning and over three thousand delayed. The snarl in air travel today will be massive. It comes as the United States sees a surge in illegal immigration across the southern border. “You, President Biden, you are the first president of the United States in a very long time that has not built not even one meter of wall. And that—we thank you for that, sir, although some might not like it—although the conservatives don’t like it,” Lopez Obrador said in a joint press conference. He thanked Biden for maintaining a “relationship of cooperation” with Mexico and for not subjecting Mexicans who “live and work in a very honest fashion” in the United States to harassment. “They’re not suffering raids as it unfortunately used to happen in the past,” the Mexican president added. Lopez Obrador asked Biden to insist that Congress “regularize the migration situations” of millions of Mexicans who have been living in the United States. On Jan. 21, 2021, a day after becoming president, Biden issued an executive order that halted construction of the border wall, commenting that a massive wall spanning the entire southern border is “not a serious policy solution” and a “waste of money.” Between 2017 and 2020, 450 miles of the wall were authorized and built under the Trump administration. In July last year, the Department of Homeland Security announced that the remaining funds, which were allocated for the construction of the wall along the Mexico–U.S. border, would be spent on “environmental remediation and mitigation” as well as for installing cameras, lighting, and detection technology in places where barriers are already built. Under the Biden administration, illegal immigrants entering via the southern border have surged. During fiscal year 2020, there were 458,088 apprehensions. This rose to 1.73 million in fiscal year 2021, a jump of 278 percent, data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) show. During fiscal year 2022, apprehensions rose to 2.3 million. In the first two months of fiscal year 2023, apprehensions exceeded the total apprehensions of fiscal year 2020. According to Steven Kopits with Princeton Policy Advisors, the rise in border crossers is set to continue its upward trend this year as well. Kopits had earlier predicted around 2 million apprehensions for 2021 and 2.3 million for 2022, which is close to the actual numbers. For 2023, Kopits is predicting apprehensions to hit 2.6 million, another record in terms of annual illegal immigration. If Kopits’s projections are true, it would mean that 6.9 million illegal aliens would have been apprehended between 2021 and 2023 under the Biden administration. A network of pro-life pregnancy centers in New York hired private investigators to probe a firebomb attack against a facility last June after what they describe as an inadequate response from federal law enforcement. "They've been responsive, but what they've done we don't know," Tom Brejcha, president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Society, told Fox News Digital of the FBI. CompassCare, which has multiple pro-life pregnancy centers in upstate New York, announced last week that it was joining forces with the society, a nonprofit law firm, to hire private investigators to find those behind the incident at their Buffalo office last summer. Vandals reportedly smashed windows and lit fires in the building's reception room and nurses’ office, then defaced the building with "Jane was here" graffiti, an apparent reference to the radical pro-abortion group Jane's Revenge. The pro-life pregnancy center was able to rebuild quickly, but the individuals responsible have not been apprehended. Brejcha, who told Fox News Digital that his own home was targeted last July by "40 to 50 masked, black-clad thugs," said the investigation has expanded to include all 78 of the attacks against pro-life facilities in the wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned last year. "Along with CompassCare and others, we're looking to investigate connections here," the lawyer explained. "We have security video of attackers. We have license plates. We're pursuing the kind of investigation that lawyers pursue when they're looking to achieve justice on behalf of their clients, civil and criminal. So we're not sitting on our hands just writing letters to the editor about it." Brejcha said they hope to reveal "some of the folks that are behind this," and he is optimistic that they will succeed. https://thepostmillennial.com/biological-males-blocked-from-competing-in-womens-school-sports-in-west-virginia-federal-court?utm_campaign=64487 Biological males blocked from competing in women's school sports in West Virginia: federal court A federal judge in West Virginia has upheld a state law preventing male athletes who identify as female from participating in female school sports. In a ruling on January 5, Judge Joseph R. Goodwin of the Southern District of West Virginia said that HB 3293, the Save Women’s Sports Bill, was "constitutionally permissible." The bill defines "girl" and "women" as biologically female for the purpose of secondary school sports and Goodwin found that this was "substantially related to its important interest in providing equal athletic opportunities for females." The law was first introduced in March 2021 but was challenged by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The ACLU represented trans-identified male middle school student Becky Pepper-Jackson who was barred from the girls' cross-country team. This, the ACLU argued, was a violation of Pepper-Jackson’s rights under the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause and Title IX, the federal state statute that prohibits sex-based discrimination, reports Fox News. At the time, Goodwin ruled in favor of the ACLU and blocked the law at the preliminary stage, ruling that Pepper-Jackson was being excluded from school sports on the basis of sex making it a Title IX violation. While Goodwin acknowledged in his new decision that the law was seeking to "prevent transgender girls from playing on girls’ sports teams," he highlighted the biological differences between males and females that give males a significant sporting advantage. "While some females may be able to outperform some males, it is generally accepted that, on average, males outperform females athletically because of inherent physical differences between the sexes. This is not an overbroad generalization, but rather a general principle that realistically reflects the average physical differences between the sexes," said the judge. Goodwin also noted that while Pepper-Jackson had taken puberty blockers, not all transgender athletes do. Some only socially transition, while others take blockers and hormones at a later stage in puberty. Goodwin stated that "there is much debate over whether and to what extent hormone therapies after puberty can reduce a transgender girl's athletic advantage over cisgender girls." "The fact is, however, that a transgender girl is biologically male and, barring medical intervention, would undergo male puberty like other biological males. And biological males generally outperform females athletically. The state is permitted to legislate sports rules on this basis because sex, and the physical characteristics that flow from it, are substantially related to athletic performance and fairness in sports," Goodwin ruled. The West Virginia ACLU had filed the lawsuit alleging that banning girls from participating in school sports because they are transgender is unconstitutional. In a 2019 speech, developmental biologist Dr. Emma Hilton demonstrated just how wide the gap between the athletic performance of biological males and females is. "So big is the gap, there are 9000 males between 100m world record holders Usain Bolt and FloJo. So early does the gap emerge, the current female 100m Olympic champion, Elaine Thompson, is slower than the 14-year-old schoolboy record holder," said Hilton. Last week, Hillis was rushed to the hospital after a swimming incident at a Florida beach. He reportedly rescued his two children who were in danger of drowning in the ocean. Both children were reportedly uninjured in the incident WREG Memphis reporter Otis Kirk reported that he had been told that Hillis is “battling and definitely needs as many prayers as he can get.” He also reported that the former Razorback’s kidneys and lungs were the primary reasons why he was still in the hospital. WREG’s report mentioned that Hillis’ kidneys are now the main concern. Kirk did not reveal who gave him this information or their relationship with Hillis. He played both high school and college football in the state, before embarking on an NFL career that took him to Cleveland, Denver, New York, and Kansas City. While at Arkansas, Hillis was one part of a running back triumvirate comprised of himself, Darren McFadden, and Felix Jones. The report on Hillis’ condition comes just as a prayer vigil was being held in his native Arkansas. Hillis volunteers as an assistant for his son’s football team. Stay tuned. https://www.theepochtimes.com/mexican-president-praises-biden-for-not-building-border-wall-even-when-conservatives-dont-like-it_4977673.html?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=BonginoReport Mexican President Praises Biden for Not Building Border Wall Even When ‘Conservatives Don’t Like It’ Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has praised President Joe Biden for taking a stand against the U.S. border wall, and criticized conservatives during the North American Leaders’ Summit on Tuesday. In recent months, over 70 pregnancy resource centers have been firebombed. Federal and local law enforcement authorities did not prosecute the violent attackers. Militant Pro-Life groups like Jane's Revenge were given a pass. No arrests were made. But the government did not just slow walk cases. They sided against the attackers' victims. Politicians pledged to investigate the pregnancy resource centers that were still smoldering. The FBI deployed large SWAT-style teams to arrest Pro-Life Christians on bogus charges in front of their wives and children. The process appeared designed to punish; the hallmarks of an intentional harassment campaign. All this and more has unfolded in recent months following the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision. That ruling overturned Roe v. Wade and returned abortion policy decisions to the states. Powerful elites, along with the multibillion-dollar abortion industry, raged in response. What should Christians do when they are targeted for peacefully championing Life? Or simply being faithful in increasingly faithless cultures? How can Christians navigate the intimidation and pressures coming their way? How might God be moving in the midst of this darkness?
