Unreal Results for Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers
We're revisiting the LTAP™ core beliefs in a replay episode on the Unreal Results podcast this week. I thought this would be a good time to talk about these again because the live online LTAP™ level 1 course is opening up for enrollment next week! In the episode, you'll hear that the tenets of the LTAP™ are grounded in osteopathic principles and standard anatomy & physiology to shift the paradigm from a musculoskeletal focus to a whole organism approach. Just like in every LTAP™ class that I teach, this episode will challenge your deeply held beliefs and practices as a healthcare and movement provider, and ultimately lead to better patient outcomes.Resources Mentioned In This EpisodeSign Up HERE for the 2025 Online LTAP™ Level 1 CourseLearn the LTAP™ In-Person in one of my upcoming coursesConsidering the viscera as a source of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction is a great way to ensure a more true whole body approach to care, however it can be a bit overwhelming on where to start, which is exactly why I created the Visceral Referral Cheat Sheet. She is also the host of the Emotional Alchemy Podcast of which I have happily visited at least twice as a guest speaker. Kat takes a trauma informed lense to the practice of running our own businesses. She enfolds somatic, scientific, spiritual and nervous system knowledge into a holistic mentoring role, guiding today's business owner to thrive in AND enjoy running their own business. She is also a client who has taken lessons with me. Which to my delight I discovered a self professed beginner with horses, to possess an advanced skill set towards horses. Her work in the nervous system, in movement, in traditional eastern medicine and trauma informed practices naturally makes her a brilliant horse woman. She lives in Washington state, has a ranch of her own, and in spring of 2024 she showed up to my Washington State clinic and was a powerful voice in that space. Kat is the first of a series of podcasts where I present people whom on the surface appear to be new to horses, and yet possess skill, feel, understanding and knowledge that even lifelong horse people struggle at times, to embody. I present such guests here, alongside industry figure heads such as Temple Grandin and Celeste Lazarus, because it is never my opinion that only decades of experience can help you be excellent with a horse. Sometimes, from the mouths of beginners, comes the ultimate feel of horse-sense. From the mind of the fresh, we find logic and horsemanship is not solely gate kept, by the uber experiences, but can be embodies more immediately, from a multi-disciplinary approach. She distinguishes between ego persona behavior and soul needs and asks you to assess the impact on your soul's progress. Do you struggle with relationships? This is a really exciting week for me. As I'm recording this, I'm getting ready to head to Fort Worth, TX. I have been chosen as an honoree of this year's Cowgirl Magazine Cowgirl 30 Under 30. As I've been preparing for this amazing opportunity, I noticed a lot of feelings of imposter syndrome coming up in me. Things like, “Do I even deserve this award?” and, “Am I worthy of this honor?” So while I know these aren't true, I also know I'm not the only one who has experienced these feelings. So today I'm digging into imposter syndrome and some ways to overcome it.In this episode, we'll chat about:My history of imposter syndrome and my lifelong desire of wanting to fit in4 ways to overcome imposter syndrome Growing through doubt and fear My goals and intentions with this tripResources & Links:Alli Kelley's Gardening 101 CourseLearn more about partnering with me as a speakerInquire about advertising on the Climbing with Coach Kiah podcastShop the Coach Kiah Store. Andrew Root is the Professor of Youth and Family Ministry at Luther Seminary and author of The Church After Innovation. In this conversation, Andrew Root, the author of The Church After Innovation, invites us to think critically about innovation. We live in a world in which innovation is held up as almost an ethical good in and of itself. Andrew helps us think about where the drive to innovate in our culture comes from and helps us reflect on our own motivations as we work to innovate in our own churches and ministries.THIS EPISODE'S HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDES:Andrew Root is the Professor of Youth and Family Ministry at Luther Seminary and author of The Church After Innovation.“Innovation” has, in recent been years, been held up as an inherently good thing. Andrew Root started to wonder why.According to Max Weber, capitalism is rooted in a theological belief, sometimes called the Protestant work ethic.Hard work as an ethic in and of itself is fairly new in human history.Andy Root explains what he means by the “contradiction of capitalism.”Our focus on innovation ultimately makes the self the end-all be-all of our work.Mission and innovation often get confused for each other in the church.Unceasing growth is not always good.Andy Root says one of the reasons we want innovation and entrepreneurship is because they feel like strategies for control. And the church feels out of control.RELEVANT RESOURCES AND LINKS:Books mentioned:The Church After Innovation, by Andrew RootAndrew Root:Website – www.andrewroot.orgRelated Resources:Engaging God's Mission online courseLearn how to lead your church into ministry that matters. When you are in recovery from a restrictive eating disorder and are actively trying to STOP micromanaging your food, the very LAST thing you should be doing while eating is overthinking whether or not you should be eating! Nonetheless, "mindful eating" has become a very popular method of treatment for eating disorders in recent years. In today's episode, I turn the tables and explain why mindful eating is more harmful than helpful in ED recovery, especially for individuals who are also on the autism spectrum. You'll learn:What mindful eating isWhy mindful eating is harmful in ED recoveryWhy you should focus on mindLESS eating in recoveryThe root cause of your obsession with foodThe role of ableism when it comes to intuitive eating and interoceptionWhy eating with distractions is a helpful toolKey mindset shifts to improve your relationship with food and eatingEnroll in my extreme hunger course, Extremely Hungry to Completely Satisfied! https://livlabelfree.com/extreme-hunger-courseLearn more about my three different 1:1 Coaching Packages: https://livlabelfree.com/coaching-packages YouTube version of this episode: https://youtu.be/KsigF7qeAOc Blog version of this episode: https://livlabelfree.com/blog/why-mindful-eating-is-a-mindfck-in-ed-recovery Mentioned episodes:Interoception in Autism and AnorexiaA Scientific Link Between Autism, Anorexia, and AnxietyI've teamed up with Daily Harvest to gift you up to $40 off their plant-based meal delivery service! An eating disorder is not your friend...in fact, it's quite the opposite. It sucks the life out of you like a parasite, and uses you to its ADVANTAGE. It uses your body as a host to multiply, and then engrains itself until you almost feel like it has become your identity. Yep, this is HORRIBLE, but this metaphor was also the key to my recovery. In this episode, I dive into how you can separate yourself from the illness & take responsibility for your recovery. You'll learn:How the eating disorder tricks you into thinking you're superiorWhy the eating disorder can be compared to a parasite or virusHow to deal with the fear of emptiness when you finally "let go" of the EDWhy it's the "smart ones" that develop anorexia & other eating disordersHow to stop being a victim & becoming an advocate in recoveryWhat COVID has to do with all this!Learn more about 1:1 Coaching with me! https://livlabelfree.com/1-on-1-coachingEnroll in my Extreme Hunger Course! https://livlabelfree.com/extreme-hunger-courseLearn more about me on my website livlabelfree.com and follow me on Instagram!Blog post of this episode: https://livlabelfree.com/blog/seeing-the-eating-disorder-as-a-parasiteSupport the show
One of the hardest things I've gone through in my life was a 7 year battle with severe, chronic digestive issues (IBS, bloating, anxiety, depression, the list goes on...). At one point I was finally ready to give up on healing, defeated and hopeless. But luckily, just around the corner, I finally discovered what I takes to truly heal at the deepest level. In this episode, I share all about the digestive healing program I created, based on my own gut healing journey. I describe exactly who this program was made for and what kind of health issues it can help to transform. I created this program in order to share the tools of transformation with those who are ready to do what it takes to re-balance mind, body and soul. Start your healing TODAY! 富士X100F(富士X100T升级版) 你听到这个声音了吗? 我在这里想引用一句马格南的街拍摄影大师Bruce Gilden(布鲁斯·基尔登)他所讲过的一句话他说 :“It doesn't matter how close you are because sometimes when you're far away, you're more sneaky.
