It took too long, it took too long, but we're finally talking about Cow Belles! Tune in as BenG and Kelsey discuss why taking a picture of a butterfly is apparently more important than attending your daughter's party, the logistics of getting away with stealing all of your company's money, and how everyone working in the factory apparently feels like it's alright to bully the owner's daughters.

We're bringing back your favorite sister duo — none other than Disney's own Aly and AJ (We're feeling StarStruck)! This encore episode will leave you longing for the days of back-to-back DCOMs (shoutout Cow Belles!), As Seen on TV commercials, and of course, listening to your favorite Aly & AJ song on your mp3 player.“This is Keke Palmer from “Jump In”, and you're watching Disney Channel!” MAN what a throwback! Those were the days! There was something so special about Disney Channel; the TV shows, the DCOMS, even the online games were so much fun! But has it changed? Has Disney Channel lost its magic? Do we need to write a “Potential Breakup Song” for our former happy place? This week we are joined by Aly and AJ to chat all about our favorite memories of working for The Mouse and what it was like growing up being part of such an iconic network. Plus if you watch us on YouTube, you'll see our version of making the iconic Disney Channel Mickey Ears. So “Jump in” loves, because this is one of our most magical episodes yet. GMTD listeners! Jodie Meis is here this week to talk about the treat, treat, treat of a film, Cow Belles! There's something about a movie staring sisters that reallyyyyyy hits the spot. Is this movie a spiritual successor to a Mary-Kate and Ashley movie? Feels like it!! Following two privileged daughters of a dairy factory owner, these girls need to learn the importance of hard work and responsibility while working over the summer for dear ol' dad (he's away on a butterfly collecting expedition of course). This movie has it all: an embezzlement plot, two unsupervised teens on a product line, a $100,000 cotillion in jeopardy, and TWO MAJOR hunks! Will Aly and AJ's math and computer skills come into play and help save their family's dairy? Will AJ get her “spotlight dance??” Will the grown men at the factory stop being the meanest people alive to a couple of teen girls??? Will there be hoedowns at lunch break???? Will we see a cow birth?????? You'll just have to listen to know!!! Have funnnnnn!

2006 was clearly a time full of growing pains for women in pop culture. Shows like "The Simple Life" and "The Girls Next Door," foundational texts for the bimbos of today, were creating a reactionary wave of "feminist" criticism, and for our purposes, that manifested in the form of two ENTIRELY SEPARATE tween-targeted movies centering around the rich and spoiled sisters getting their comeuppance— "Cow Belles," starring Disney's Aly and AJ, and "Material Girls," starring the decidedly non-Disney Duff sisters. Which of these two movies has stood the test of time? Let's find out. (CW: Sexual assault, blatant racism) Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Moo’s ready for an-udder episode of DCOG? (Was that too much?) This week we’re watching Aly and AJ’s answer to “The Simple Life”: the iconique 2006 Cow Belles. If you like your phones flip, your love interests French, and your other love interests farmers, this is definitely not the time to potentially break up with the pod. Plus, Jackie reports back from the historic Aly & AJ comeback concert, and we learn more than we thought we ever needed to know about cow placenta. Like whoa!Follow us on Twitter, @DCOMGroupies! Taped Over takes to the road! Tim and Kajsa discuss the (to our knowledge) only DCOM based off of a reality show starring Paris Hilton.
What the hell is a cotillion? Why is the father in this movie obsessed with butterflies? What are our thoughts on the new Grinch movie? All these questions (sort of) answered in this episode! The dangers of probiotics, sexist math, a farm that's a factory, snoring dogs, and oblivious white white girl problems make this movie one that... happened. Half of Adair's family guest stars!
Our two siblings find themselves looking for Princesses down in Puerto Rico...I mean the Louisana Swamps as they dive into Princess Protection Program. They end up finding an unreasonably mean daughter, the world's worst father/secret agent, and a robot named Demetria ingratiates herself into society by being an incredible bowler and stealing the schtick from Cow Belles while teaching the world all women actually want to be princesses deep down inside.Emma gets emotional and drives her brother to drink. Luke finds some unlikely favorite characters and tries to be hip in 2009.Talking Points: Kenny Ortega’s Dance Lair, BAITGIRL, Off-Brand Regina George, No Guns!, Emma’s Style Corner, The Jonas Doobie Brothers, Getting Coned, Texting AKA The Devil’s Weapon, The First (But Definitely Not The Last) Sibling Argument, How Do You Pronounce Caribbean?, Head to Head, and Tag-Team Taglines 2: Luke Does a Bad Job

Well here it is our first episode ever! Join us as we review the 2006 DCOM "Cow Belles." Butterfiles, dating rituals, and Italian accents abound. Also we just want to make it clear that Disney owns the rights to the Disney Channel Original Movie song, and not us. Bear with us and we hope the episodes will just keep getting better!
