The Tampa Bay Rays took a tough loss 7-1 to start their three-game series against Los Angeles Angels. Zach Eflin struggled to fool the top of the lineup as both Anthony Rendon and Mike Trout combined quickly to put the Angels on top early. This tough outing extended as Eflin would allow five runs in five innings. Jacob Waguespack came in to relieve Eflin but would surrender two more runs while pitching three innings.
