About six months ago or so (in Done! No. 500, to be specific), I addressed the issue of remembering to read, respond to, or in some other way acknowledge messages you and I receive in an increasing number of channels. I am referring to chat messages, direct messages, Linkedin messages, messages on other social media platforms, SMS, and of course also emails. The trick I described then that works very well for me is to do a metaphorical “doctor's round” which you take every morning and during which you browse through all the different channels and deal with any new messages you have received. But what if you have a few channels that need to be attended to more often than once a day? In this episode, the 521:st, I share how to set up recurring tasks in your to-do list to remember to check these channels at the right interval effortlessly. Have you solved this nuisance in some other way? If so, tell me how. As you might have guessed by now, I am always curious to hear about new solutions and tricks. Towards the beginning of this episode, I mention electric motorbike brand Cake. Check out their amazing bikes, if you haven't already! The talk I gave was "Get super structured!" and I would happily give it at your next meeting. Ask me for an offer and I will send you one promptly! Saya membahas buku Free to Focus karya Michael Hyatt.

5. In this episode we're going to talk about one of my favorite topics, time management and productivity!I'm going to be walking you through the Full Focus Planner system. So this system is from Michael Hyatt, he's a New York Times bestselling author and he wrote the book "Free To Focus" that came out in 2019.I read both his book and got a hold of the Full Focus Planner and have really changed the way I approach my goals and it's made a huge impact on how I structure my time. It's made such an impact on me that I held a giveaway giving away 2 of the planners and I wanted to share how I use it in my real life to help you see that there is a way out of the chaos, stress, and overwhelm that many of us find ourselves in everyday.Let me ask you a few questions to see where you are at.-Do you ever start your day with a feeling of overwhelm or panic that you have too much to do and that it all needs to be done now?-Do you ever find yourself mentally fried at the end of the day? And when you think back on your day, you wonder what the heck you accomplished?-Do you come to the end of your day and feel restless or ever experience anxiety with the ever-growing to-do list that's running through your mind?-Do you find yourself thinking about what you needed to get done instead of being present and in the moment with your family or loved ones?If you answered YES to ANY of these questions, you are going to get SO much out of this episode today from yours truly! Grab a coffee, sit back, and let's do this!Links/Resources Mentioned:Rock Your Mornings Like A Boss FREE Printable - http://theglamgirlboss.com/morningguideFacebook Group - https://theglamgirlboss.com/facebookgroupBook - "Free To Focus" - https://www.amazon.com/Free-Focus-Productivity-System-Achieve-ebook/dp/B07F3DM7C1Planner - Full Focus Planner: https://fullfocusstore.com/products/full-focus-planner-executive?variant=27880145911831&gclid=CjwKCAiAg9rxBRADEiwAxKDTuh7EVXpQ-HYdNu4JRrFDg8JsmHX7XOEUdm91VURrb5Cfa_gKIzMoABoCKyAQAvD_BwEAmy Porterfield - The Online Marketing Made Easy Podcast: https://www.amyporterfield.com/amy-porterfield-podcast/

I bet you know how frustrating it is to wake-up for the day with plans to accomplish important tasks, only to find yourself overwhelmed and unaccomplished by the end of the day. Everyone gets 168 hours a week, but it never feels like enough, does it? And you probably know what it feels like for work to eat-up the majority of that time. In fact, many professionals today are working as much as 70 hours a week—leaving less and less for rest, recreation, family, and friends; all the things that make life great. But this is where a lot of people, me included, get hung-up. You see, most people think productivity is about finding or saving time. But it's not. It's about making our time work for us. It’s about learning how to become free to focus. And that’s the conversation we’re having today with leadership and productivity expert, Michael Hyatt. For years, Michael Hyatt struggled to balance it all. As the former chairman and CEO of one of the world’s largest publishing companies, his success came at the expense of his health and his most valuable relationships. The turnaround for him came when he realized the answer wasn’t simply to get more done. Instead, success, Michael learned, is about getting the right things done. He soon discovered how to sync his daily activities with his most important goals and priorities. And since then, his life has never been the same. In today’s conversation, Michael is going to share his groundbreaking method to become free to focus so that you will win at work and succeed at the rest of life—in your health, your relationships, your hobbies, and more. He’s going to help you redefine your goals, evaluate what's working, cut out the nonessentials, focus on the most important tasks, manage your time and energy, and build momentum for a lifetime of success. If you’re tired of the overwhelm and want to be free to focus, buckle-up, because my conversation with New York Times bestselling author, Michael Hyatt, starts right now. Key Statements Focusing on everything means focusing on nothing. You can’t focus when you’re multitasking. Your best creative ideas often arrive when you’re free to do nothing. The prerequisite to innovation is constraint. FOCO is the fear of conflict with others. FODO is the fear of disappointing others. No one ever drifted to a destination they would have chosen. Focusing on wins isn’t “pollyanna;” it’s perspective. Buy the Book Everyone gets 168 hours a week, but it never feels like enough, does it? Work gobbles up the lion's share--many professionals are working as much as 70 hours a week--leaving less and less for rest, exercise, family, and friends. You know, all those things that make life great. Most people think productivity is about finding or saving time. But it's not. It's about making our time work for us. Just imagine having free time again. It's not a pipe dream. In Free to Focus: A Total Productivity System to Achieve More by Doing Less, New York Times bestselling author Michael Hyatt reveals to readers nine proven ways to win at work so they are finally free to succeed at the rest of life--their health, relationships, hobbies, and more. He helps readers redefine their goals, evaluate what's working, cut out the nonessentials, focus on the most important tasks, manage their time and energy, and build momentum for a lifetime of success. Thankfully, Michael is a generous soul and has kindly shared how you can do the same and potentially reach the same level of growth and success in your business. Tune in to hear all about Michael’s new book, “Free to Focus” and discover how he managed to grow his business by a further 60% over the last 12 months while taking almost half of the year off! (yes, it’s possible!) Essential Learning Points From This Episode: If you want to do better, you’ve got to surround yourself with people who are doing better than you Your first accountability as a CEO should be to take care of your team. If your team takes care of your customers, your customers will take care of you The number one reason why people don’t achieve their goals is that they lose visibility By focusing on the right things, you can achieve more by doing less Anything outside of your “desire zone” is a candidate to either eliminate, automate or delegate You’re best thinking happens when you’re relaxed, so don’t be afraid to take time off work Much, much more! You can’t do it all and chances are 99% you are currently doing too much. But you are stuck, right? Join the crowd. But insanity is doing the same things over and over and hoping for different results, right? In who #663 we talked with Michael Hyatt about his book, ‘Free To Focus’. There are three segments of the book; Stop, Cut, and Act. I really honed in on the difficulty of CUT-ting. STOP-ping to take things into account and chart a course, then ACT-ing on the course...I think most of us do pretty well, and those seem to get primary focus in the personal development sector. But then we generally get overwhelmed. So the middle initiative, CUTTING...realizing everything we say yes to, just adds up to overwhelmedness if we don’t also say NO to things, is what I used as our focal point in this show. I asked these questions to our audience, 1) What are some GOOD things you do in your life, daily and weekly, that might be getting in the way of GREAT things you could invest in? And 2) If half your responsibilities disappeared, what meaningful work would you spend more time doing? In your career/business and personal life? What tasks would you most like to delegate if you could? Then I had Michael Hyatt himself join to talk through your responses! I truly feel you may have a light bulb moment from this show. What if you could achieve more in your time on this planet, while, counterintuitively, doing less? Michael Hyatt's newest, Free to Focus, is a compelling book that teaches a total productivity system. And if you let it, it will entirely change your life. The benefit for coaches? We all know that achieving clarity is key to knowing what actions to take next. Many times we coach others to clarity, without having it ourselves. This leads to stress, burnout, career dissatisfaction, and life dissatisfaction. Most of it comes down to a misappropriation of priorities---and that's exactly what Free to Focus helps you overcome. Listen in as I debunk a few myths for you and explain why you need this book. It's not only a great idea to pick it up---it's essential. Mentioned in this lesson: Get the book! Get the planner! You are overwhelmed. You have too much to do. So I have a question for you - if you could wave a magic wand, would you rather get more done or have less to do? Productivity messages generally focus on getting efficient to get more done. But the greats of our present day and history don’t...do more. They figure out ways to spend more time doing what only they can do. Their art, in essence. Michael Hyatt joins us on The Ziglar Show for the third time, our first guest to do so. His new book is titled, “Free To Focus” - Achieve More By Doing Less. Want the punch line? The primary problem for most of us is we take on too much and don’t eliminate, automate or delegate enough. We spend time doing tasks that relegate us to a low paid, hourly worker. Why? Michael steps on my own toes by stating it’s often because we think it takes longer to explain it to someone else than to just do it myself, and I don’t think someone else can do it as well. Both may be true, but if I accept that, I’m quickly plateaued in what I can do. And there I sit. Forever under maximized. Friend, this is a convicting and compelling message. From it you will do one of two things: cut down on the things YOU don’t have to do. Again, they may need to get done, but do YOU have to do them. And then spend more time on the important things that you do best. Or you will decide to change nothing, and anchor your progress to where you are now. And since I know you won’t do the latter, then there is nothing more important than listening to and digesting this message! If you don’t know Michael...he’s one of the most influential voices in business. He’s a bestselling author, one of the most successful bloggers...ever. And in truth is a primary leader of...leaders. It’s unreal how many of the people we interview on the show look to Michael for mentorship. We had a great conversation about Michael Hyatt’s Free to Focus course — “a total productivity system designed specifically for executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders, created to help you slay distractions, free your time from interruptions, and finally focus on the projects and people that matter most.” Tune in to find out how we use what we learned from the course in our partnership.
How often have you found yourself feeling stressed by time? How about the feeling that you don’t have enough time to do the things you really want to do? And, if you’re like most us, just thinking about how little time you have makes you so exhausted that you just eat some dessert, watch tv, and waste even more time? It’s crazy how time can do such a number on our psyches. But, today, we’ve got some major solutions to our society’s crazy time epidemic! Time is not measured by clocks, it’s measured by moments. The more that we can take control of how we invest our time, the more we’re going to be present for the moments that really make life worth living. On the health side, time worry is actually a major cause of anxiety. So much futurecasting, and not feeling empowered to do the things we want, can lead to a subtle, or very strong, feeling of helplessness. To help all of us become a better master of our days, I called in one of the top productivity and leadership experts in the world. His story is remarkable. Many people that have 1/10 of the responsibility that this man has are quaking in the boots trying to figure out how to make it. Not only is he making it, but he’s thriving, and helping people all over the world to do the same. He’s an incredible model for us all, so I’d like to introduce you to the incredible Michael Hyatt. In this episode you'll discover: The do’s and don’ts of melatonin supplementation. The #1 reason most people aren’t exercising. Why asking for permission is a waste of time. The 2 biggest misconceptions when it comes to productivity. What the “Circle of Being” is and why it’s important. Why it’s important to exercise your “NO” muscle. A powerful written response to help you devote time where it’s needed most. Why a combined rest and work flow is valuable to your success. The critical importance of hard boundaries. What an activation trigger is. How productivity technology can actually make us less productive. How to instantly reframe your tasks to make them more appealing. The importance of creating a positive work environment (and strategically avoiding disrupters). Why it’s helpful to fill up other’s emotional gas tank. Why a productivity mindset is more important than productivity techniques. Items mentioned in this episode include: Onnit.com/Model
