A Whanganui musican is hoping to inspire the next generation of New Zealand's music talent. James Paul has launched a charity called Community Music Aotrearoa, with the aim of offering music recording and tuition in small rural schools across the country.

Tracy Chapman became one of the biggest musicians in the world thanks to two critical 80s concepts—affirmative action and the diasporic mindset. Because of the diasporic mindset, many Americans thought of Africa as part of their world, as if Africa's problems are our own, and we are not truly free until South Africans suffering under Apartheid are free. James and Paul both wrote letters in the New Testament, but when we consider their theology, they can appear to be preaching a different message. Paul says that justification is by faith alone. What is a Charter School? There are a lot of common misconceptions about charter schools. In today's episode, Kim & Leah have a chat with James Paul - Executive director of WV Charter School Board, a board that was created one year ago to authorize new charter schools in West Virginia.A Charter School is a tuition free, independent public school that receives more autonomy and flexibility from the state in exchange for more direct accountability. A lot of bureaucratic jurisdictions that apply to public schools do not apply to charter schools. There are less regulations and red tape which gives more flexibility to the school. There is a high level of accountability placed on the school and the parents. Charter schools only receive funding for each child that is enrolled, and they lose funding if the child leaves. There are currently four charter schools open in WV, however charter schools have been around for 30 years across the country. Every governing board is required to have two parents on it. Charter schools only get 90% of the funding per student that the traditional public schools get.This week's episode is jam packed with helpful information. We all must balance our Christian lives with faith and works. Pray, study, meditate, and be filled with the Holy Spirit to spiritually grow and mature in your faith, at the same time, work hard and allow your faith in God to impact lives around you by meeting their emotional, spiritual and physical needs. Don't over do either one, balance it.----more---- An apparent contradiction seen in what James & Paul are writing about faith & works. Paul is saying, no one is justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. James is saying, man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Scriptures don't contradict with each other. I believe both Paul & James are talking about Balancing faith and works. • No one is expected to work to earn salvation, but we are expected to work not to lose our salvation. • We need faith to maintain our salvation, we lose our salvation if we don't work towards it as dead faith cannot produce salvation. • Once saved is not saved for ever. • We are saved by faith and we keep our faith alive by doing good works. Because without works faith within us dies.

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview  James Paul, Senior Policy Analyst For The Commonwealth Foundation. Today, the Senate Education Committee passed SB 494 banning “ghost teachers” who drain resources from public schools to work full-time for teachers' unions. A Commonwealth Foundation analysis of Pennsylvania's 500 school district contracts reveals up to 198 former district employees may work full-time for the teachers' union while remaining on public payroll. These ghost teachers are teachers in name only; many haven't taught in decades and will never return to the classroom. In some cases, ghost teachers receive taxpayer-funded salaries, gain seniority, and accrue pension and health benefits while working for a private organization. This practice is sometimes called “release time” or "union release." “This is a blatant misuse of resources meant to educate children,” commented James Paul, senior policy analyst for the Commonwealth Foundation. “The full senate should act on this legislation to ensure every public education dollar is benefitting students, not special interests.”
