Ivan Cepeda et Abelardo de la Espriella ont jusqu'au 21 juin 2026 pour convaincre les abstentionnistes et les électeurs des autres camps. Paloma Valencia, candidate de la droite traditionnelle, arrivée troisième avec un peu moins de 7% des voix, a déjà annoncé qu'elle le soutenait. La situation sécuritaire continue de se détériorer dans la Plaine du Cul-de-Sac, zone stratégique située à proximité de l'aéroport international de Port-au-Prince. Les affrontements entre gangs affectent aussi la production de l'entreprise Rhum Barbancourt. Nous en avons parlé avec sa PDG, Delphine Gardère. Entretien réalisé par notre correspondant Peterson Luxama. Tout au long du week-end, les groupes armés ont multiplié attaques et affrontements, poussant des centaines de familles à fuir leurs maisons pour chercher refuge dans des secteurs plus sûrs. Les habitants dénoncent l'absence de réaction des autorités face à l'emprise grandissante des gangs dans cette région devenue l'un des principaux foyers de violences du pays. Au cours des affrontements, un employé du Rhum Barbancourt a été tué après avoir été atteint par une balle perdue. La PDG de l'entreprise, Delphine Gardere, évoque une situation « insoutenable » et rappelle que plusieurs salariés ont déjà été victimes de l'insécurité ces dernières années, certains kidnappés, d'autres assassinés. Malgré les alertes répétées des entreprises installées dans la zone, aucune mesure concrète n'aurait été prise pour enrayer la dégradation de la situation. « Jusqu'à quand faudra-t-il compter les morts avant des actions concrètes ? », s'interroge la dirigeante au micro de Peterson Luxama. La CIA a-t-elle participé à l'assassinat d'un membre du cartel de Sinaloa Une enquête de CNN affirme que la CIA aurait participé à un assassinat ciblé contre un membre présumé du cartel de Sinaloa au Mexique. En mars 2026, Francisco Beltran, alias « El Payin », a été tué dans l'explosion de sa voiture sur une autoroute près de Mexico. Selon plusieurs sources citées par CNN, un explosif avait été placé dans le véhicule avec l'aide d'agents de la CIA. This week, the boys get all Tom & Huck and head to the Mississippi River to discuss Jeff Nichols' “Mud”. This highly regarded film expresses the nostalgia of growing up in post-WWII Italy where a single movie theater was the only source of entertainment for a town. As part of the random year generator series, 2004 was a great year for movies, with over 50 $100m movies and many likable ones. While “Eternal Sunshine” didn't gross in the top 70, it may be the year's greatest film. If you listened to my novel The Cul de Sac you know that twenty minutes west of Boston (give or take) sits a quiet, secluded little place called Woodland Hills. The town exudes quintessential New England charm, pretty neighborhoods, classic New England architecture, and a handful of local businesses on a charming main street. Its residents are typical New Englanders, hardy, preppy, and true to their regional reputation, they are kind, but they are not nice. It is a quiet town. A cozy town.
